  1. Nice of the WWE to give a new guy a chance.
  2. Look at the detail on RVD's singlet. Wow.
  3. Fuck, I forgot this was on. I was interested in the Christian promo. Are there any repeats? If not, no biggie.
  4. I tried it again on SmackDown with Chavo and was unable to beat frigging Orlando Jordan (hey, it was on Hard and JBL was his manager) and lost. So I took my aggression out on Torrie Wilson afterward. Now starting the "Urning Your Spot" storyline, I already heard about
  5. I played a Raw season as Benoit. Lost the Tag Team Title match (at Taboo Tuesday?) with Eugene and then lost the ladder match at Survivor Series for Trish's contract, making everything until that point worthless. Won the Royal Rumble, and then did the fairly fun HHH storyline and beat him in a Hell in a Cell. Yeah, putting him through the cell was a nice sight but that wasn't nearly as cool an ending as HCTP's was. Completely underwhelming stuff. I loved the cut scenes but there weren't enough. What did I miss by failing the Eugene storyline? Playing a hard difficulty SmackDown season as Chavo right now and it seems pretty fun thus far. Besides my Eugene storyline question, I have others. What "superstar-specific" storylines are there? And what Legends are available to use in Season. I have to get on season so I can destroy you all with my CAW of Smaffles, the Pimping Bear.
  6. Apparently wrestling fans vehemently hate my JBL/Regal feud on GM mode. Wrestling fans suck.
  7. That's so weird because the first show that was mentioned is the only WCW Monday Nitro I have on tape. I rewatched it recently, looking for my tape of WrestleMania XIV. I have no idea who taped it and why.
  8. Worst part about the game thus far is that Edge was in a loading screen picture and I finally noticed his atrophied left arm. Oh God, that was saddening. Haven't seen Kurt's yet.
  9. Didn't Test gain a huge amount of muscle mass recently due to suspected steroid abuse or am I just crazy?
  10. Uh.. ..If anyone wants to know what the Options screen looks like, I'm your guy. I'll update with more info tomorrow as I progress. Going to get in some good GM mode time.
  11. Haha, that actually made me laugh more than the match did. --- Benoit breaking down and rushing off was the saddest thing I've ever seen on television.
  12. I couldn't bring myself to cry even if I wanted to. I'm in too much shock. It's just like he isn't there for the week. In about two weeks, I'll rewatch this and I'll be devestated.
  13. This game is scary good and pretty overwhelming. Like, I have no idea how I'll find enough time to do it all. I've only touched exhibition thus far. I had a pretty good, 7 minute Christian vs. Michaels match. Glad to see 1 hour Iron Matches are in. If anyone has any questions, let me know. Try and remind me about stuff that I was wondering myself.
  14. Eddie went to Heaven, not Hell.
  15. Wait, he has three daughters, one being born while he was seperated from Vickie. She was even adopted by the Guerreros.
  16. RIP Eddie.
  17. That quote is awesome. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That quote is probably fabricated.
  18. I miss the old days when people used to throw crap. Seriously, when I think of the glory days of the WWF and WCW, I vividly recall people attacking wrestlers with their signs in the aisleway and people throwing crap at the direction of the ring. Speaking of which, why aren't the WWF's Attitude Era and WCW from 1996-1998 "dissected" on these boards more often? Doesn't get enough love, yo.
  19. I could at least imagine, even though he himself did not write it, Ric Flair narrating "To Be the Man" word-for-word (for the most part). I cannot imagine Shawn writing what I just saw whatsoever. Most of his promos are directionless and baffling. I can't imagine Michaels talking without that quirky intonation. "Uh, the uh, uhm, so-called *air quotes* SCREW-JOB. Well, it uh, happened, back in-- 1997. And Bret and I-- *odd hand gesture, strange facial reaction* weren't exactly what you could call the best of friends. *long pause, smile*" It just doesn't seem like Shawn Michaels. Or the truth, for that matter. Doesn't look like I'll be buying it.
  20. Boogeyman owns your dad. The Dicks are coming next week? That's a little premature.
  21. So are you going to try and see some of Joe's best work this year any time soon? If you've only seen those two disappointing matches, Rudo, then you should hunt down some other stuff on the internet.
  22. Besides the Batista match, Benoit vs. Edge and Benoit vs. Christian were very, very good Benoit TV matches from this past spring. Better than anything on Raw this fall, actually. Seriously, try and watch them if possible. My top five this year (no major elaboration because I can't and don't wish to defend my own opinions which may have been influenced by others)- 1) Eddie Guerrero-- mainly because I've seen pretty much all of his body of work this year 2) Samoa Joe 3) Chris Benoit (I don't remember any of his work since August however) 4) Chris Jericho (delivered solid work in pretty much throughout the year, is it wrong that I think 2004 and 2005 were my favourite years to watch Jericho wrestle?) 5) Austin Aries or CM Punk or something-- although I've yet to watch the Punk vs. ROH storyline I've mentioned this a few times before. Flair falls off the top rope because Angle won't let him position himself properly for whatever reason. Angle insisted on his damn belly-to-belly suplex and I guess Flair didn't get the memo. Thus the Flair Flop with added Danger. I can't argue with the rest of it, though.
  23. I agree completely. I thought the Vengeance, SummerSlam and post-SummerSlam Raw matches destroyed Angle vs. Cena from No Mercy 2003, No Way Out 2004 and Unforgiven 2005. However, I have yet to see the No Way Out 2005 match. Samoa Joe gets the rub. Who woulda thunk it?
  24. I don't mind as long as Fight Network continues to show Ring of Honor at 9:00 on Mondays. Next September, maybe they'll be at NOTG2 or DGI or something. Hooray.
  25. He's right. I liked Danielson vs. Homicide a bit more than MisawaGQ did but it was pretty much destroyed by Punk vs. Rave the next night. A few cool spots but not much. The four way comedy match is disappointing. It wasn't a laugh riot or anything. Alex Shelley vs. Roderick Strong is good (I think) but nothing memorable. To the point where I don't even remember that match right now.
