Again I ask what's your point? RVD is a poor wrestler, but the fans have been screaming for him to be moved up. So move him up. A hated, poor wrestler should be fired, because they have neither the fan support nor the in-ring ability.
-
Matt Hardy can equal the obnoxious guy from Jen's NY past. FUCK TBS. God damn reruns getting me hooked on that show.
-
The banana is in my ear, to lure the monkey out. And of course KABONG~!

NILKNARF! If I could be a vegetable, I'd be a carrot. Franklin Sherman is one of my top 5 favorite TV characters, ever.
-
So what is your point? Booker is a better wrestler than RVD? Ok, I agree. But that still doesn't change the fact that when HHH faced RVD, he decided on the most grounded style for a match. Therefore he intentionally took away RVD's flashy offense, that gets the crowd behind him. And exposed him for the poor mat wrestler he is. The problem is a title match, at a PPV is not the time to expose the most popular face in the company as a poor wrestler.
-
Yes, I am sure no one in the back told RVD to get his finishing move in the match somehow. Back to the HHH/RVD match, I recall RVD being able to hang with Austin in a typical WWF style main event. If HHH would have worked the normal style that the main eventers used, the match more than likely would have been much better. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying RVD is anything special as a worker. But HHH found the most grounded style, to expose RVD in their match.

ummm....he WAS in a dome yesterday.

Unless he decides to wrestle in the match, and it ends up with him vs. Jericho in the end, with Jericho pinning him, then I don't want Bischoff's team to win. Any other end to the angle would result in nobody getting over.
-
HHH changed his style for the match though. Instead of working the typical WWF main event style, he changed to an old school NWA style match. When you change your typical M.O. to show up an opponent, you are intentionally sabotaging him.
-
That's my point, UYI. Bringing up HBK having a great match with Y2J means nothing, because any decent worker can.
-
I have Favre, but I have Carr as a backup so I don't mind.

Wow, HBK had great matches with Bret Hart and Chris Jericho (both debatable BTW). Give him a medal. IIRC, RVD was able to hang with Jericho for a **** match at No Mercy 01 (?). And it is easy for HBK to have a good match with HHH, because HHH is going to bust his ass to make his friend look good. If you have an opponent who goes out of their way to highlight your weaknesses, like RVD did against HHH, you are not going to have a good match. And notice I said that RVD is the top face "when given a semblence of a push". Austin and HBK (debatable) are more over, because they are doing nothing with RVD. Hence my second statement, "when given nothing he is still a top three face."

He is injured, but don't dispell the fact he is sucking. He sucked before the injury, and the thumb has nothing to do with the fact he is hopping around like he is on crack, in the pocket.
-
Normally, I would agree that WRs are just inconsistent. But there is no light at the end of the tunnel for Thrash. Between McNabb sucking and him sucking, he is going to be lucky to get three grabs a game. I would trade Pinkston in a heartbeat right now if i could get anything for him.

Wow, I am finally included in the Puro/MMA group. There are so many people I would like to thank, first of all RRR for being such a Pride whore. Ok back on topic. In regards to not getting the nostalgia, there is a difference between someone like Hogan and someone like UT. Hogan was a huge draw, and a monster influence in the minds of children who are now adults and got nostalgic. UT on the other hand is in the exact same position as he was with the dead man gimmick. Dead man - attraction, spot ME, terrible matches Bikertaker - attraction, spot ME, currently one of the top workers in the company So excuse me for being an evil, evil MMA fan if I think the current incarnation of the Undertaker is better.

The old gum ruled all. I missed the days before insert's and short prints. I don't collect anymore, but nothing pisses me off more to see that companies now short print rookies so you can't even complete a set. I remember buying a 36 pack box of 1988 Topps for about 8 bucks and having the time of my life sitting all day opening packs and building sets.

"Might it be because he can't work a main event where he's not flopping around or bumping for a big man" Didn't HBK become a star doing this? A.) Who cares if he is a pompous ass? He has been the most over face when given any semblence of a push. He has been in the top three faces when given nothing. I don't see where being an ass detracts from those qualities. Rikishi gets an entrance pop and a stinkface pop, RVD gets pops whenever he does anything. B.) I don't see where he is a pompous ass. Does he inflate his abilities somewhat? Yes. Everyone does.

I can't believe I forgot my most painful sports memory ever. The 2001 Daytona 500.

team's good

I don't regret not ordering it, because I didn't care about any of it going in. By the reviews it seems there was a lot of decent, average wrestling, with a good Angle/Cena match, and a decent-great UT/Brock match depending on the review. That in itself is not worth $35 dollars, and add in the fact I didn't care about any of the feuds, characters, angles going in makes it worth nothing.

I agree with not liking the deal much on either end, but Raef doesn't even need to return to Denver form to be a great big man in the pitiful Eastern Conference. So I can understand it from the Celtics end. I am surprised they threw in Delk. The few games I saw he seemed to be a great change of pace off the bench.

Whalers on the Moon Shaquille O'Neal Andrei Kirilenko Corey Magette Gilbert Arenas Chauncey Billups Kurt Thomas Dwayne Wade Larry Hughes Mike Dunleavy Christ, I have two Wizards. That has to be violating some rule.
-
This deal seems odd for the Mavs. I can't imagine Walker staying a happy camper with all of these other weapons around him, limiting his opportunities to sit at the three and fire.
-
If Abe Vigoda follows Bearer on a unicycle, I am all for that idea.

I can't really picture him in the deadman get up riding to the ring on a motorcycle. I can picture him, however, riding down to the ring, but accidently spraying milk in front of the bike causing him to crash into the crowd.
