  1. Have you decided how often to sim seasons? It might be good to get a few seasons quick, to get a bunch of people in early. and .251 batting average my ass
  2. You're holding me down somehow. Do you have the stats for all three players or just the ones they give the awards to?
  3. You know the new orange Flyers jerseys are funny. At first I hated them, then they grew on me, then they became my favorite, then after seeing other teams' alternate jerseys they have become my favorite jersey in any sport. I do despise the black jersey though. Just wayyyyyy to much black on those things.
  4. I can't believe Sherdog gets new members. Any time a new person posts something, no matter how intelligent, they are responded to with SHUT THE FUCK UP NEWB. At least here only stupid and pointless first posts get that treatment.
  5. You ought to post this in the Sports folder, probably get more people.

  7. Just a suggestion, but you guys are moving too fast. To go from Normandy to the Garden of Eden limits what you can do.
  8. Final round pick, from the Golden State Warriors Mike Dunleavy, Forward
  9. Gee and who would have thought Putty was Eagen when he answered an arguement with a picture of a cookie in the baseball thread? hmmm....who indeed.

    NFL rul opinion

Last year Chris McCallister returned a field goal a 100+ yards. I don't think the defense should be able to score on a two point attempt. The bonus points (XP/2 pt conversion) I see as a reward for scoring the TD. The 2 pt conversion rate is low enough that the risk itself is enough penalty.
  11. This postseason was WM 18. With Rock/Hogan being two legends (Red Sox and Yankees being legendary teams) competing against each other in a huge event. Followed by post injury HHH/Jericho that going in looked like it could range anywhere between bad and very good, but everyone was so burnt out they didn't care.
  12. Larry Hughes- Guard, Washington Wizards
  13. Baseball has some good teams, providing some great baseball. Football has some decent teams and a couple of good ones, playing awful football. And how many postseasons do we need in a row before the great games baseball is providing aren't a fluke?
  14. Shockingly enough, the league with the strictest salary cap seems to be doing the best. Must be a coincidence. -=Mike Shockingly enough, in the sport with the strictest salary cap, mediocrity abounds and terrible games are being played. Must be a coincidence.
  15. The canadian dollar killed off teams I think. They had to pay people in American dollars and they weren't getting the help they were looking for from the league/government.
  16. If the NHL locks out after this season, they die. So no, I don't think either side would be stupid enough to not hammer out an agreement before anything can happen.
  17. Mik talks to Ghettoman for 20 pages. Hopefully, Yankees in 5. It is more fun to hate the Yankees, then it is to feel apathy toward the Marlins.
  18. And show me a businessman who can't make it look like they are losing money, when looking for help, and I will show you a businessman who will not be in business much longer.
  19. You can be a small market team without being in a small market. Philadelphia has been run like a small market team for the last 15 years.
  20. Disney was such a force as Angels owner that they put no money into the team and sold it off the year after a title.
  21. What is there to hate about the current condition of the game? It has been shown that a properly managed organization can be competitive no matter what they spend. I do think though, if a salary floor was implemented that it would restrict teams like the Yankees more, because there would be more teams in the market for players. And I don't think player's salaries would rise too much, because the owners seem to be making a concerted effort to keep contracts down.
  22. Well since no one else has tried to sell you on the cap let me see. :shakes fist: YANKEES ARE THE EVIL EMPIRE! Sorry, I can't do it
  23. You want to help the competitive nature of the game, they should create a salary floor. Instead of small market owners putting the revenue sharing money in their pocket, make them put it back into the team.
  24. If you're a team player, you would say you are getting fatigued. All I am saying is don't completely blame Little. And whats with red Sox fans always having to blame someone? You fucking lost...deal with it....its not anyone's fault. I am not a Red Sox fan, so I am not going out of my way to blame anyone. No ace starting pitcher is ever going to ask his manager to take him out of the 7th game of a playoff series. It is the job of the manager to tell the pitcher they are done and getting replaced.
  25. No you don't blame Pedro. It is Little's job to say you are getting the fuck off the mound.
