  1. Aw shit, nevermind, Denver is up fucking place I took the order from hadn't updated.
  2. Ok, time is up on Cleveland so we'll go Haloti Ngata, DT, Oregon for them Baltimore pmed me the pick - DeAngelo Williams, RB, Memphis Philadelphia takes - Brodrick Bunkley, DT, FSU The Eagles desperately lacked a pass rush last year and were torched for it. Other than Mike Patterson's flashes, they got almost no pressure up the middle at all. Considered going Chad Greenway here as they also need a SAM, but a combination of them never taking a 1st round LB and the fact a pass rush will make the entire defense that much better brings it to Bunkley. Atlanta is on the clock
  3. pm'ed pick Rams take Mathais Kiwanuka- DE Boston College Cleveland is on the clock
  4. The clock is now running EHME is up with Buffalo/Detroit
  5. "The official time when the clock starts will be tomorrow (the 3rd) at 9:00 pm EST"
  6. With the third pick in the 2006 NFL draft, the Tennessee Titans select: Matt Leinart, USC, QB McNair's coming to the end of the road, Volek isn't exactly a spring chicken, so the consensus is QB seems to be the way to go. After that it comes down to Leinart (Chow's boy) vs. Young (McNair's boy). I am not completely convinced on Leinart as being a franchise QB, but it is hard to argue with what he accomplished at USC and the unease about Leinart is nothing compared to my uneasiness about Young. The Jets are up
  7. teke's pick: With the 2nd pick of the 1st round, the New Orleans Saints choose... D'Brickashaw Ferguison, OT, University of Virginia Thanks to C LeCharles Bentley leaving as a free agent, LT Wayne Gandy getting older, and RT Jammal Brown's natural tendencies fitting his current spot rather than Left Tackle, Ferguison is definitely a great pick to fill a serious need for the Saints. They need to have a good pass defender up on the QB's blindside now that they've dumped Aaron "King of the 30-Yard Sack" Brooks and poured a lot of money into a proven winner, Drew Brees. Ferguson is projected to be the kind of tackle who is excellent at pass-blocking on the NFL level, which is just what the Saints are going to need to protect their very expensive new QB. With an O-Line bookended by Ferguison and Brown, Brees should be able to get enough time to throw to star WRs Joe Horn and Donte Stallworth.
  8. Welcome to the 2006 TSM NFL Mock Draft. The official time when the clock starts will be tomorrow (the 3rd) at 9:00 pm EST, but we can start as soon as C_V makes the Houston pick. Each pick will be given 12 hours. If your 12 hours expire, a pick will be made for you. If you show up before the next pick is made, the pick can be changed. If you do not show up before the next pick, you are S.O.L. Strong suggestion: If you see you are within the next 5 or so picks and know you will be away from the computer for a stretch, please pm someone a list of selections and make sure to list enough players to cover every spot until yours (ex. if you are up in 5 picks, make sure to make your list 5 players long.) This will help us avoid another 3 weeks per round scenario and allow us to complete a second and third round for those who wish to stick around a while. If I am on when a pick is made, I'll send out a pm to whoever is next to remind, but still try to check in on this thread regularly just in case. We still have: Indy open if anyone wants to grab them. 9. It certainly makes them more talented, but I don't know if they really needed him. They are already lefty heavy as it is and giving up Tejeda for someone who is going to scrap for ABs with Victorino is pretty hefty. Something that I am wondering about now, though, is if either Rowand's hand or Burrell's foot is going to be a lingering issue and they felt they needed some insurance in case Delluci or Victorino is pressed into a starting role. And only one more pitcher is needed for Texas to get a complete set of Ex-Phils.
  10. The Moulds to Eagles thing is hardly concrete. It was mostly stirred up this time by a report that McNabb and Moulds were talking and then Moulds' agent was on local sports radio. If anything, I think this works against a moulds/Eagles marriage as that is not the way the Eagles FO likes to operate.
  11. I saw a decent point brought up about Moulds today that makes me think I underestimated him somewhat: w/ Kelly Holcomb at QB: 7 games, 54 catches, 588 yards, 4TDs w/ J.P. Losman: 8 games, 27 catches, 228 yards, 0 TDs That looks like enough of a pattern to take into consideration. While I don't think he is a stud anymore, he still might be able to be a nice contributor and create a real nice setup with Brown/Gaffney/Pinkston. If they want him (big if there) I could see them giving him a big number this year to pacify the ego (since they have plenty of room to spare), while setting up for a very small cap number next year. I couldn't see any more than a two year deal, maybe a three with a phantom third year. And giving up a 4th would be a no-brainer. They have enough projects on the roster and are running out of roster spots. I like the idea of using one 4th to get Moulds, then using other two to move up into the third, since they got another 5th and a 6th today those will be the filler picks.
  12. I do blame it mostly on his inexperience. At those speeds it isn't freezing as much as slower reactions where a half second seperates the veterans from the rookies. If you watch Scott Sharp's in car camera (was side by side with Dana coming into the turn), Sharp slows right away and it only takes a half second to a second for Dana to be in no man's land. I also wouldn't put it past an inexperienced driver to hear "go low" and treat it like a yellow light where he tries to beat the hole closing instead of just stopping short.
  13. teke, if you are going to be around the day before and CV is as well, it is fine to start it early. We can start without starting the clock and everyone else being around. Still a few teams to fill: Dolphins – Harley Chicago – AoO Minnesota – open Oakland – Sass Indy – 4hartthreat
  14. I'd love to see the NFL send them on a barnstorming tour of Minnesota for their preseason schedule.
  15. The poison pills in that deal are obvious retaliation, but the money is just silly no matter the cause.
  16. Please someone splain to me how Nate Burleson is worth a $49 million dollar offer sheet, plus a 3rd round pick since Minnesota is not going to match. Granted only 5.25 mil is guaranteed, but no matter how it is arranged, a 49 million dollar deal is still big money. All for a guy who has cracked (barely) 1000 yards once. Christ, maybe GB will get a ransom for Walker.
  17. I think it is unfair to say that because they were backups on a bad line then they are not worth a shot. All you can do is look at how they played when given a shot. Jackson was much better than Fraley when given the chance, Herremans played very well in his time. The weak spot was at left guard, Hicks sucked and Clarke wasn't really in enough to show much. And let's not forget they tried to spend big money on Bentley and he just wanted to go home. Hutch was given left tackle money, hard to fault anyone there and beyond that were the next tier of FAs really that much better than their internal options to spend millions on. And I disagree that they haven't improved. To this point they have signed Howard, Schobel, Gaffney, Barber and Garcia, while only losing McMahon. Even losing Runyan that still adds up to a plus, IMO. And that isn't including the fact that they are in their best drafting position in years.
  18. They know what they are doing. The problem is that their idea of a plan and the fans idea of a plan are going to differ greatly. They loss of Runyan would not bother me because I think Todd Herremans is a starting quality OT right now and at some point you have to let a young guy sink or swim. But I know that is the minority opinion of at least the vocal fanbase right now.
  19. It looks like they are just keeping tabs on him, but they don't have him scheduled for a visit. At this point they don't really need him and his baggage. They have a fine three receiver set in Brown/Gaffney/Pinkston and I don't see Keyshawn as a big upgrade over any of those three.
  20. How is everyone for the standard Raw start on April 3rd? Start it at 9ish and try to knock out a chunk of picks quickly. Anyone have a different idea for starting?
  21. I think you are along the right train of thought there, but I don't see how getting into a pissing contest would have helped anything. The real problem is that Trotter and Dawkins (especially Trotter), the more emotional leaders on the team, became friends with TO. They are the ones who should have been getting in his face if there was a problem because if TO gets pissy at them, who cares, they don't play with him. McNabb should have been the one that got to play his friend, because they needed to have the working relationship.
  22. I imagine that 29th pick will probably be the main piece if they decide to move up to the no.2 spot for Leinart.
  23. Given the fact it took all of two days for TO to make an ass out of himself again (the book, the rap) I think the idea he is going to change is silly. If you are one of his new teammates, how do you trust him and not just think you are just fodder for his next book?
  24. They apparently did by signing peterson to ridiculous money (7yrs/$54mil with 18.5 guaranteed) are the figures I saw. Don't know how official it is or anything, but that would be nuts.
