  1. Typically I'll just go to a site (usually NFLDraftCountdown) and go to the team needs section and find a couple players ranked in those positions. I'll also adjust if something needs it, like the Chicago pick they had RB listed above OT, but in a previous post AoO mentioned that Jones was at least solid and I knew their line sucked so I changed the order a little.
  2. Detroit (Flyboy) followed by Dallas and then Flyboy for two more picks.
  3. Enough with Maurice Clarett. He will not be autopicked for anybody. If you want to take him with your pick that is fine, but he is not being given to anyone. Also, the procedure has not been a problem the last two years and is not going to change now so feel free to give that conversation a rest as it will not change. Again it defeats the purpose of doing a mock draft if the order gets completely changed up. The skipping if you miss the time limit works in the pro draft because it never comes up. In this draft we would skip 8 people a round and end up with an order nothing like the real draft. Chicago's time is up so they'll take Khalif Barnes, OT, Washington
  4. Oakland is on the clock, followed by Chicago and New Orleans
  5. Tampa is on the clock
  6. This pick coming up is really a reach at this point. In a real draft I would trade down hoping to land, but this is a player I really like and don't think will be available at 63 due to his terrific Senior Bowl and combine performances. Philadelphia Eagles select Matt Jones, QB/WR/TE, Arkansas At 6'6", 242 lbs be can certainly have his way with almost any DB, and with 4.39 40-yd speed he will be able to cover deep routes. He will definitely have a bit of a learning curve, but with the development of Greg Lewis the Eagles would be able to let him sit as the fourth receiver for the year and take it all in with the idea he can step in next to Owens in 2006.
  7. Fuck it, I'm taking Cleveland cause I want to make my Eagle pick and go to sleep Cleveland selects Anttaj Hawthorne, DT, Wisconsin
  8. Cleveland's open pick is available for anyone to take
  9. Bored is on the clock with SF to start round 2
  10. FM had to leave, but PMed me his pick New England chooses ILB Channing Crowder, Florida
  11. Philadelphia Eagles select David Pollack, DE, Georgia New England is up.
  12. Does anyone want to take over Cleveland?
  13. Pittsburgh is on the clock
  14. San Diego will take Demarcus Ware, DE, Troy St.
  15. No Clarett is not the pick, going to throw an overrule on that one. I am not going to let this turn into some hardcore thing leaking into the sports folder. FM, I got your PM and while the real draft is run out of time and you get skipped, it really defeats the purpose of a mock draft if we screw up the order and make unrealistic picks.
  16. San Diego's time is up. If anyone wants to make the pick go ahead. Indy is on the clock
  17. Atlanta's time is up. Seeing that Peerless Price continues to blow we'll go ahead and give Michael Vick another weapon in Roddy White, WR, UAB San Diego is on the clock
  18. MMAweekly.com is reporting three of the fights going on before the finale airs (two finals, Shamrock/Franklin): Nate Quarry vs. Lodune Sincaid Chris Leben vs. Jason Thacker Josh Rafferty vs. Alex Karalexis Apparently there will be three more fights involving eliminated fighters, but they have not been announced yet as we'll assume some participants have not been eliminated yet.

  20. VX's pick With the 24th pick in the draft, the Green Bay Packers select DT/DE Shaun Cody from USC.
  21. Seattle (rant) is up
  22. He gave me three people, so he'll be covered.
  23. Baltimore (marvin) is up
  24. It will probably be different this year, though, as not having Moss they are more likely to see a safety in the box then they have the last few seasons. I do agree with you about the RB depth. Even if Minnesota moved one or two of their backs, two out of Bennett/Moore/Smith/Williams together with a Ciatrick Fason/Verand Morency level back should be more than enough without having to use the number 7 pick on one of the big three.
  25. Ok, but then you are expecting teke to pick an Auburn guy over a LSU guy. I do agree with you though about liking Rogers more than Webster.
