Dama, they got physically dominated, in their home stadium, in their third straight NFC title game. That is a choke job.

At what point did Orlando Pace become a terrible O-lineman?
-
I would put Heap third for TEs, but he is suffering from out of sight, out of mind right now being injured while other TEs lit it up.
-
Nice job by the TV crew to leave some cable on the sideline for the ref to trip over.
-
At this point I would grumble about how the Eagles could have had Holmes if they would have given him a shot to compete for the starting job with Staley, but then I would get depressed again.
-
I would be surprised if Heath Miller lasted until the Jets pick, with the explosion at the TE position this year he will go a lot earlier than he would have in previous drafts as some team will want in on the new trend.

Was Bas knocking out Ricco in the deleted scenes on the DVD or did I just miss it here? And Igor/Kerr was Pride 12, but it was not shown on the telecast, so that will probably be a good hint to the quality. All I remember from the Herring fight is Kerr laying on top of Herring forever and finally a standup when Herring took over.

RBs 1. LT 2. Alexander - For some reason, I still do not buy into him, but the numbers are there so I can't rank him any lower. 3. Dillon - Impressed me this year as I thought he was going to be one of those "good stats on a bad team" type players. Coming through for a team that matters was big 4. Westbrook - I believe he goes 1,000/1,000 next year. 5. Domanic Davis - Could go 1,000/1,000 next year Obviously, looking at my list I am a fan of the versatile RB that you can get creative with. Holmes would obviously be no. 1 if I had any confidence in him staying healthy. McAllister, James, and Lewis would be my next three in any order given what mood I am in. WRs 1. Randy Moss - Still the best at being the one to bring it in when the QB just heaves it. That quality always provides an out and is why I put him ahead of Owens. 2. Terrell Owens 3. Andre Johnson 4. Joe Horn - Again, like Alexander, I do not buy into him as a dominant player but the stats are there. 5. Michael Clayton - I really like what he was able to do coming in as a rookie and putting up numbers in Tampa where he was opposite joey Galloway. With more experience, if he can get some better talent around him he can really be special. Muhammad, if he does it again next year, will pop into the list. But at this point he had a hot 8 games compared to a mediocre last few years.

Vikings don't want Joe Buck to announce the game

I certainly thought it was, but I can see people taking a bit of exception to that. But when I heard someone on Sportscenter this morning going off about the money bit it was too much. -

Just as an addition, as it really does not need it's own thread, is anyone finding the response to Moss's reaction to his fine hilarious. People are whining that he is belittling $10,000 when that means a lot to a lot of people. Here was my thought process at the announcement of the fine: "Whoo hoo, $10,000 sure means a lot to him I bet" Media reaction to slap on the wrist $10,000 fines: "They really need to start suspending people as these $10,000 fines really don't mean much to millionaires." ::Randy Moss points out $10,000 is nothing to him:: New media reaction: "How dare he say $10,000 isn't a lot to him. rabble rabble rabble" I just find it amusing that we can realize that a $10,000 fine is nothing to him, but he is supposed to act like it is the end of his world. -
You are right on the fumble numbers, as what I saw were the fumbles while rushing. But I still stay by the point, as in his career Culpepper has fumbled 33 times in 430 attempts rushing compared to McNabb's 14 in 390 attempts. And McNabb had the lowest interception rate this season of any QB other than Kurt Warner, who only played half the season.
-
I was comparing Culpepper to McNabb in the turnover department as he threw three more picks and fumbled three more times (lost 2 more).
-
I'll do a bigger write up in a little bit but off the top of my head 1. Manning 2. McNabb 3. Culpepper - if he can cut down on the turnovers he jumps to 2 4. Brady 5. Vick -if we are going on potential as well, he has to be in the 5-7 area and he is the one jumping into my head at this point.

Bob, how can you hate the Phillies. It is like hating a retard, there is no point to hating as they are not a threat to anything. I don't care if they are a division rival or not.

I think a lot of the hype this week is just the desperation to watch a real football game as it has been over a month now. Did you hear the guy singing the Eagles fight song while licking the supermarket tires? I would rather eat the testicles. One huge reason I want the Eagles to go to the Superbowl (other than the whole they are my team and they have never been there in my life or won period), is I just want to be at the WingBowl two days before the SuperBowl. That will be the biggest party ever.

As long as you still root for that team after the glory years have passed, you're a true fan. If you conveniently change allegiances when the team starts to fall apart, then you're not. I agree with that, also, with all due respect Dama , it does not help when you say you are also a fan of the Chiefs. When you use descriptions like "true" and "diehard" (from the other thread) to describe your fandom, it doesn't help when you then mention you are a fan of two teams. The only team I hate is the Dallas Cowboys. I don't like the Giants, Redskins, Bucs, New Jersey Devils or Tampa Bay Lightning. But the only team I actively despise is Dallas.

Joe Buck: "What a disgusting display by Moss last week, that was the most sickening thing I ever saw. BTW, stayed tuned for the new season of Fox's hit show "The Simple Life"" -
Divisional Playoffs Prediction Thread
the pinjockey replied to therealworldschampion's topic in Sports
I don't think Moss is going to be that big of a factor, as they were able to keep him to small, underneath catches in the first meeting (I believe 8 catches, but only around 60 yards) and I see no reason for that to change as the defense is playing much better now. -
Screen resolution is stuck to the less setting (800 x 600), it is just the basic video card that came with the computer (VisionTek, GeForce2 card).

A couple days ago, there was a problem with our computer and upon restart I needed to restart in safe mode, did that, and it worked normal for safe mode. The next time I started the computer (Windows XP, BTW) I tried to start it in normal mode and it worked fine except for the fact that it is now stuck on 4 bit color quality and there are no other options in the color quality pull down menu. I tried looking online and could not find anything. Any suggestions?

Anyway, my picks would be Marino Young Irvin Dent Would not put Thomas in and did not see the other players enough/period to judge.

Marcus Allen also finished in the top 10 in rushing TDs 9 times and is still number 2 in that category. Combine that with a Super Bowl MVP in one of the great big game performances in league history and that is why he is in the HOF. And the "Player X is mediocre but in the HOF, so Player Y who is just as mediocre should be in" arguement is just silly.
-
Because his career revolved around longevity and not a dominant stretch of time. He only was in the top 10 in receptions 4 times, top 10 in rec. yards 3 times, and top 10 in rec. TDs once. So while I can certainly see those who want to vote for him based on career numbers, I do see the arguement for those who vote for the more dominant players not wanting Monk in.

Good lord, the Philly contingent got out early on this thread. Anyway, live in South Jersey so I get the Eagles/Flyers/Phillies/Sixers (only if they have someone I like watching as I am not that big of a basketball fan).
