They are already in the bottom third of the league for time of possession. They have scored a lot this season on big plays. If anything this is going to cut down on that and force more move the chains drives that will eat up clock.
-
I believe it is both actually.

I was just talking with a friend last night that this would be the absolute worst draw for the Eagles. The one thing they can not do now is win a shootout. I think, the way their defense is playing now, they can keep Pittsburgh or NE in check enough where a couple of big plays can win them the game. But Indy will keep Rod Hood (a CB I like, but not to play 80% of the defensive plays in a game) on the field with 3 WR sets and force Trotter (who has been the spark for the D since put in the lineup) off the field. I don't think they would get enough pressure on Manning with just the front four and he could pick apart their blitz.

What like acting like he won the Super Bowl every time he makes a tackle when the RB has already gained 5 yards? I don't mind not liking Owens, as I stated in another thread a while ago (I think) I have found it less fun to be an Eagles fan between Sundays this year with him being an ass. But please don't say that Lewis does not try to show other players up.

And how Moss was useless with his groin injury. But you never know. My sister fractured her ankle in basketball and the bone healed really fast. She was back in a month. If it was a clean break I would agree that there is the you never know factor. But this is a spiral fracture and I have never seen an athlete come back ahead of schedule and fully recovered from that.

I would end any thoughts of TO playing right now. Remember what the McNabb injury did to him and realize that the injury will affect Owens' position much more than McNabb's.

John Clayton article Here is a John Clayton article that appears to have been writen a couple years ago. To that point, 28% of games were won on the first possession. I doubt it has had some radical change since that point.

So it's just stupidity. Got it. Can we go back in time, forget the Lofton trade and sign Wilkerson?
-
If the Nationals are not even allowed to tender their own players they need to just contract now, because how the fuck can they even field a team now?
-
They should still make the Super Bowl. Their defense is playing better (since Trotter was put in the lineup) then they were last year and the offense is the same except they have Westbrook this year. And while it may be a popular "silver lining" mantra in Philly right now, it is true, IMO, that out of McNabb/Owens/Westbrook, Owens is the one who hurts the least to lose.
-
Looking at his stats is there any reason Wilkerson should be non-tendered (especially with the contracts the Nationals have been handing out)?
-
I would be shocked if he came back, if this is the case. McNabb was pretty useless for a long time after the same injury and he isn't entirely reliant on running and making sharp cuts. That is all a wide receiver does. I thought it was this injury from the very beginning given it was a carbon copy of McNabb's incident.

Trust me. It ain't happening. If Kerry Collins and Jerry Porter combine to put up 8 TDs on you, you are not meant to win that game (think the Madden video games "No fucking way" game).

Aw, poor Flik. His QB-WR combo has only contributed 50 points to this point and still have a half to go. It is all over for him.

Eh, screw it you convinced me. I'll just play it out.

I'll kill my guy at the end of the season when I was the one out shooting deer and accidently shot Hunter and ended up getting the death penalty in Atlanta's new one strike rule.

I have a feeling this will ring true in Philly as well this year.

I am going to echo MIB's sentiments here in that this wasn't a terrible deal. Thomas had some solid stats at the plate with a decent amount of walks and has the ability to cover a ton of territory in the outfield. It seemed, from the Phils/Braves games I saw this year, he was covering as much ground if not more than Jones out there. Not a bad pick up at all. Cruz was covered and I know nothing about Meyer.
-
I am pissed since this will bump Jimmy Rollins up a hell of a lot in his arb. case next month, since he had a better season than Renteria this past year.

Female soccer player. Reigning ESPN Page 2 sexiest female athlete.

How AJ Feeley (pre-trade, pre-multi-million dollar extension) got Heather Mitts is one of the great mysteries in sports.

I am not saying he wouldn't be fun to hang out with, but that doesn't mean he isn't a dork. I see him as being the jester of a group, which is always necessary.

Donovan McNabb between his dancing and his "hyuk, hyuk, hyuk" laughs during interviews is quite the dork.
