Good luck today guys, I'll be able to watch the 1st half of Derby vs. Leeds before I'm off to Ashton Gate to see us win 2-0, Tinnion has said he wants to go very attacking for games(see the Play Off final for why) and his formation will be either 4-3-3 or 3-5-2, Since we had the best defence last year(but a poor attack) it isn't as risky as it seems.Funnily enough the year before we had the best attack but our defence wasn't very good. I wonder if Sky will send anyone down to cover our match for Soccer Saturday as we're favourites for league 1 and sky usually cover 4 games in the studio and send about 3 guys to the Grounds. Does anyone watch the Premiership Years on Sky? I was watching 95/96 on thursday and I was reminded of how awesome Les Ferdinand was that year and seeing Tony Yeboah's famous half volley against Liverpool never gets old.
  2. Here's a list of some of the top paid sportsmen. 50 Highest Paid Athletes
  3. Why's it ridiculous? HHH has wanted to feud with Orton for about a year now and unless an injury to any of them happens I can't see HHH fighting anyone else at Wrestlemania.Even if neither of them holds the World title I can still see them fighting at Wrestlemania because one was "kicked out" of Evolution.
  4. They also had Kane as a feud until Wrestlemania 14 and after they'd probably have dumped the character so they didn't care about how believable the story of Kane was since he was a short term thing. Had they known he'd have lasted for nearly 7 years then they'd have just brought him in as Paul Bearer's revenge for getting burned at the April in your House and not bothered with any major story.
  5. How does Lance Storm make it into the game?
  6. Didn't HHH beat Bret by count out on Raw in October 97 after a superkick by HBK?

Did anyone watch the spurs game on Eurosport last night? Tottenham had 2 shitty trialists called Bakari and Silva who were really awful and showed no skill or commitment, they made me laugh though, I'm having a lovely vision of seeing them in a Swindon shirt on loan which could happen if they sign(Tottenham owe Swindon a loan player) and on the BBC 606 Tottenham board they're getting all sorts of stick. Edit: "these two looked like they'd just come from emile heskey school of coaching for the under 3's." from 606 sums up those 2 perfectly.
  8. They wouldn't use it due to the TNT initials.
  9. Kick him in the nuts then do a Big Wiggle.
  10. I don't think it will make much difference, Campbell,Toure,Pires,Cole,Reyes and Henry are more than enough for any team outside of Chelsea and Man United and I think Arsenal have more unity than Chelsea and a better Defence than United(Campbell,Toure and Cole are awesome and Lauren is underrated) I couldn't afford Vieira for my team, Matty Holland was better value as he plays 99% of his games and he gets about 5 goals a season as well.
  11. I remember reading an article with that in WWF Magazine.

How about the injuries that Pahars has suffered? Or the Delgado farce?
  13. They really built the Rock up by having him lose to Mark Henry on PPV between SummerSlam and Survivor Series, didn't they? In that time He got wins over guys like The Undertaker,Kane and Ken Shamrock and he also attacked Vince McMahon(which only the main eventers did) so his build up was good and the Survivor Series cemented his main event poistion.
  14. I just don't want to see HHH as a face. Don't waste Eugene telling the truth on him. This is interesting, saw it on 411mania.com The plan right now appears to be to put the WWE Title on Randy Orton at Summerslam and have him hold the belt until WrestleMania in 2005 where he would defend against, and likely lose, to Triple H. Everyone backstage views Orton as "the real deal" and most have been impressed with how much he has improved and how quickly he has done it. WWE also has a ready made big money program between Orton and Triple H. WWE likes that Orton can work as a face or a heel, and that he has come up during the brand split, meaning that he has lots of fresh feuds left with guys currently on the Smackdown roster. WWE is also planning to revisit the Orton/Edge feud later, but with Orton as the face and Edge as the heel. Orton will also likely feud with Ric Flair and Batista soon, following his split from Evolution. Credit: Torch Newsletter If it does happen I can't see Orton getting cheered against HHH,Flair or Batista.
  15. In Wrestlemania 2000/No Mercy a pin after a special was to easy, in Revenge even the Jackhammer only won about 25% of my matches. Also Psychosis > any other character in the WWF/WCW games, to this day I'm sure they gave Psychosis the stats and moves meant for Rey Misterio Jr(who sucks in the game along with Eddie Guerrero)
  16. About 5 of us have picked Matty Holland in our team, now he'll probably get a serious injury and be out for 6 months after playing 99% of his games in the last 5 years.
  17. Probably No chance of it happening but Williams wants a rematch. Williams wants rematch

Some of us City fans are already trying to think of a chant for the Torquay Home game which involves Helen Chamberlain(who apparently has bedded a few of the Torquay players in recent years). Really? Where did you hear that? I'm sure you'll come up with a good one. About a year ago it was in one of the Sunday papers, I remember it because they had a pic of her in a torquay shirt and she looked great(shame we don't have anything like that at our matches to look at when your in one of those awful 0-0 games where you could play all night without having a shot on target) Any thoughts on the Eriksson mess, I think the FA really don't care about it but they'll gladly sack him and pay hardly any compensation.
  19. When commentating on heat he said he was a 22 time hardcore Champion.
  20. They kind of mentioned her on the Smackdown, Val Venis said that he was led into temptation and begged the others for forgiveness.
  21. He's been sold to Copenhagen. Linderoth leaves Everton
  22. On our news they had an interview with one of Tyson's corner and they said that Tyson hurt his knee in round 1 and it made the fight impossible for him.
  23. You could have used Maik Taylor or Dean Kiely if you had enough points.
  24. How did Kanyon and Raven become friends in WCW? Coming off of the 3 way feud(also involving Saturn) it confused the hell out of me since I don't remember an explanation.

Finished 0-0 and Yakubu was throwing his rattle about for some reason because our defence was a bit to eager to kick him up the arse, he was subbed at half time. Some of us City fans are already trying to think of a chant for the Torquay Home game which involves Helen Chamberlain(who apparently has bedded a few of the Torquay players in recent years) they'll probably get a generous reception though because their manager Leroy Rosenior is a city legend(his son Liam on the other hand left for Fulham when his contract ran out despite saying he'd sign an extension and our compensation was 50 grand) Here's an interesting question for you guys, in the last 5 years name the best and worst things your team has done.I'm looking forward to the Derby reply for worst, I'm guessing it's either sacking Jim Smith or signing Ravanelli. Best: in 2000 when we were skint we refused to save money by taking some funding out of our Youth Academy which cost about Half a million a year. Now we have about 5 local lads in the 1st team picture. Worst: in the 99/00 season it was September and we had high hopes of getting promotion, but our board wouldn't have none of that and sold Ade Akinbiyi for 3 million to Wolves and Jim Brennan to Notts forest for 1.75 million and John Burns(so crap he played 11 games in 2 1/2 years until we finally released the bugger) for reasons mentioned above and yet our board were puzzled when we finished mid table with our goals having dried up. Letting Tony Thorpe's contract expire in 2002 wasn't exactly clever either. Edit: During the Arsenal/river plate match, the commentators were talking about how Van Basten,Stoichkov and Klinsmann are all national managers(makes me feel old as I remember USA 94 when Stoichkov made his reputation in Rurope) despite having never coached before.Could you see that happening here in future? I don't think it would as over here no one is as popular as Klinsmann is in germany or Stoichkov in Bulgaria to get the job without experience. If his management career is succesful I could see maybe Tony Adams getting it due to the lack of contenders in 10-15 years although the press would have a field day with Adams past.
