From what I heard, Taker was going to take the title from Yoko at the Royal Rumble, then Borga would defeat him shortly after that for the belt. He would headline WM 10 against Luger and drop the title to him. Of course Borga got injured, and Bret was way more over than Luger, so things ended up the way they did.

Or Taker/Gonzalez at WM9.

I was wondering if anybody knew if there was a WWF tape with the Tatanka/Borga match from Superstars on it where Tatanka's streak ended and the downfall of his WWF stint began. Call me crazy, but for some reason I just want to see him get slaughtered by that big Finnish bastard. Also, when this happened, was it a surprise that Tatanka lost? Or not really? Was his popularity already starting to dwindle?

I believe it was the first match you mentioned there...took place in May of 93, I believe? It definitely wasn't the cage match.

Why would the main events be the first match of the night? That just seems a bit weird to me. Was it to give them time after that match to set up the next week's ME or something?
