  1. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! *hits people*
  2. All right: Overall, I loved the show. I was feelin' all the promos. I also liked that there was a "big match" halfway in (at the "9:00 hour"), and another at the ME slot. The opening segment with SJ and PRL was great. It was a cool way to get PRL involved in the title picture without crossing paths with the Thrillogy. I'd have never thought of the "Corporate Champion" thing, and I liked it a lot. The makeover was a nice touch. I look forward to PRL's eventual return. Dama vs. Smith from Mexico was cool, and had a gritty feel to it. I also like the upcoming match at GAB. It's different. The Rick Edwards segments were great. I'm REALLY curious as to what the book was. I also like the depth in Rick's character as a result of Leah's involvement. The Sadist was...interesting. I'm glad we've got a bigger tag scene, with four teams currently in the ME hunt, and more on the way. I like that AJ is reluctant to trust Sly. It wouldn't make sense to have them all peachy. The promo between the three faces was well done. Hoff/Cal vs. Sly/Crystal was good. I didn't see it until now, and I was really into it. More HEEL TACTICS~ at the end, and that's ALWAYS good. I continue to mark out like a twelve-year-old girl for the GPX. Edwards/Rodez was great. It was also good to see Rodez back, and the match was well done and made him look good in his return. Bryte's promo was good. I loved The Hand, and I laughed when he KILLED a man. But it was really well done with Tina coming out and PANTHER attacking Bryte amidst the chaos. I was thrilled to see Panther and hope it leads to his eminent return. The ME was good, and fun. I love the big happy endings, and Cole and Coach celebrating was great. So yeah, great show, some good build to GAB, and I look forward to next week.
  3. You have been so PMed.
  4. LP - Edwards/Stevens? Plus maybe the Hoff promo I didn't get to this week. And no doubt Thrillogy goodness.
  5. Hoff is tired from copious amounts of DDR, and slightly drunk. I skimmed the show, I liked it, I'll say more tomorrow. By the way, Chris Stevens, how did that come off? It was my plan since when I made him as a jobber. There's a backstory there I'll give in you all sometime.
  6. I thought it was pretty common knowledge that file sharing wasn't this big a deal, but I guess not. Or maybe things have changed since a couple years ago. I recall vaguely a study in '01 that said CD sales went UP as downloads increased. So...there you go. As far as money goes...even if your primary concern is to get people to listen to your music (as it should be for all musicians), it's still nice to be financially compensated for it once it becomes a profession. And while I doubt Kroeger's in dire straits by any means, no doubt there are some bands who are hurt by file sharing. So, it's something to think about. Kroeger makes a good point about "changing people's mindsets." Once high-speed internet becomes the standard, I wouldn't be surprised if pay-per-song or album downloading becomes very much the norm. But that will also take a concious effort from people (like many of us, I'm sure) who have easy access to FREE downloads. It's making the call of putting $12.99 in someone's pocket to support a band you enjoy. As a side note, aren't a lot of bands putting samples of songs on their websites to hear and/or download? I know that Nickelback, in fact, does or did such a thing, and they had a few 1:00 snippets up when Silver Side Up came out. If bands did that in a show of good faith (or better yet, one or two full songs), I'd be much more inclined to pay for their stuff. EDIT: Thumbtack, I was gonna ask you more about your band -- speciifically, the name of the CD, the release date, and, in the spirit of this conversation, if any of your stuff is available on Kazaa or a similar program.
  7. Heh.
  8. Didn't you leave because no one liked you? More to the point, will you leave, because nobody likes you.
  9. u SO did warm beer can...totally. u SO did. The shitty thing is that the word "murdered" is in the name, so it's foul territory.
  10. In photography and printing, the principal hues are Yellow, Magenta, and Cyan. I have no idea why I just capitalized those. Anyway, someone tried to pull that "look at this indigo object" on me once. Problem was that the object in question (some old vase) was COBALT. We went to the library, I found a book on colors, then hit him with it. The moral is, don't fuck with color names unless you know your shit, because I will hit you with a book.
  11. A coward's beer in mud.
  12. "Einstein only wishes he would have thought of attacking Newton with a pair of brass knucks." I was dying at this, let me tell you. NY, I thought your stuff was the perfect follow-up to the "serious" and darker promo last week. It was cold-blooded and vicious and I loved it, and it was a great way not to give the match away on "free TV," so to speak.
  13. PAPA! GET THE TABLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Updated 9-13-07 Name Chris Stevens Age 28 Height 6’ 1" Weight 221 lbs. Hometown Rochester, Minnesota Alignment Heel Stable Affiliation none Wrestling Style Technically proficient, with some cruiserweight influences (American, more than Puroresu or Luchadore) Theme Music Who Are You - The Who Entrance Style The opening riff of Chris's theme music kicks in and the arena lights glow a dark blue as Chris walks down the aisle, either smirking or scowling depending on his mood. Chris climbs up the ring steps and steps into the ring, raising his hands to usually a hearty chorus of jeers. Entrance Attire None Ring Attire Long black tights, with "STEVENS" in silver down each side. Basic black kneepads and elbowpads. White athletic tape around the wrists. Black laced boots, polished to a shine. Chris wears his brown hair long, and is certainly conventionally attractive. His body is lean and well-toned. Finishing Moves Frog Splash. That's all...for now.... *dun dun dun* Signature Moves Diamond Cutter -- Chris used this as a finisher in his early career. RARELY used nowdays. Superkick -- Chris' main setup move for the Frog Splash. Tornado DDT (a la FUNAKI~) Running Kneelift (a la HHH) Northern Lights Suplex (with bridge) Basic Moveset Lots of amateur-type moves and mat moves -- headlocks, amdrags, leglocks, takedowns. Dropkicks often, and sometimes catches opponents with a superkick. Likes to trap his opponent in the corner and use European uppercuts. Chris Stevens is a clean fighter and will break a hold when asked, but he's not one to shy away from dirty moves, if he can get away with it. Short answer: CHRIS STEVENS IS A MAT WRESTLER. Manager/Valet/Sidekick none. Catchphrases/Trademark Gstures Nothing really. He's just kind of a jerk. History/Background/Career Highlights Since I'm too lazy to keep up TWO complete bios, here's just a little history. Born in northern Minnesota to an affluent family, Chris was a pretty normal kid. As such, he idolized his heroes and wanted to be like them, and to Chris there was nothing better than pro wrestlers. They were, like, so cool. In addition to the WWF and AWA shows, Chris would make his daddy take him to any and all local indie shows. Chris ended up becoming a good-sized, well-built, athletic young man, and he made the concious choice to get into wrestling as a career. It hasn't always been an easy road for Stevens, but he's worked his way up to the "big-time" of the OAOAST. However, certain events in his past, most notably involving a good-looking and talented former World Champion, have left his attitude a bit sour. Chris's main goal is to be the best in-ring competitor there is; his second goal is to make Hoff's life a living hell. Fame can wait. It has so far. Titles Held OAOAST 24/7 Championship August 5 to August 12, 2004 OAOAST Heartland Championship October 30, 2005 - December 18, 2005 Greatest Matches vs. Hoff, 8/12/04, 24/7 Championship vs. Sly Sommers, 9/26/2004 vs. Hoff, 1/30/2005, Steel Cage Match vs. Alfdogg, 7/31/2005, Heartland Championship Barbed Wire Ladder Match
  15. Big Thrillogy vs. some losers (omg heel lol) tag match, PLUS backstage funnin' with Hoff, J-Math and the Macho Man OOOH YEAH~! Also, one of the OAOAST enhancement talents has something to say.
  16. More to say later BUT: - Great show this week. Everything clicked. - Props to PFL, go read Hoff/Sly. - Good to see more stuff this week, of course. - Dama, I didn't find the explanation all that hackneyed, it made sense, and I look forward to next week. - I think my favorite segments were LP's; the whole Leah Blackstone thing is very cool. It could be nothing, or Leah could be a recurring character, and LP did a great job keeping both doors open so to speak. - Buy my shirt (ink in sig).
  17. *cries like a bitch*
  18. That would probably be good.
  19. Fresca is like...um....well it's kind of like Sprite. But not really...well, it's good, anyway.
  20. Oh shit. *runs*
  21. Ha, that's right. Rock crushes Scissors, Scissors cut Paper, and Paper covers Rock, but DUCT TAPE blasts them all into the troposphere.
  22. I...I, uh...um....I..... *goes to the fridge and gets another Fresca* BUT WAIT. *DUCT TAPES the can to his hand* Try it now, tough gal.
  23. *calmly sips a Fresca*
  24. OMG everyone's coming backxsorzs! Despite the 1337, I am actually happy about this. And Dama, I look forward to your explanation.
  25. Come back! I was loving the seeds of Lyne/Rodez, and now we're without either guy. So come back, seriously.
