  1. You're DAMN STRAIGHT he has to come in with a mask.
  2. Speaking of, I just noticed in passing that there's a tour coming to my area in a month or two that will feature The Juliana Theory and Zao on the same show. Now there's a combo. Brett Detar, lead singer and founder of Juliana Theory, used to play guitar for ZAO. After "Where Blood and Fire Bring Rest" he left to focus on The Juliana Theory. And Zack, check out Brandtson, you may like them.
  3. maybe in Mexico. I think it's possible in the U.S.

    STP

I like Shangri-La Dee Da myself. It's a mature, mostly sober STP playing really good music. It's not great, though, as a lot of the "edge" that they had early on has kind of worn off.
  5. Has anyone else noticed that there hasn't been a single source cited in this thread?
  6. somone who knows someone, that knows someone.... and i consider them to be legit... Well FUCK ME. I'm never doubting you again.
  7. The fact that there is a thread with two pages of comments for Mike shows that everyone that posts in it has no fucking life. And yes, I know I'm posting in it as well
  8. It stinks. And Chattanooga is very nice. Did you see Rock City? Because I haven't and I want to know what the deal with those fucking signs is all about.
  9. If he went, and that's a BIG if, he wouldn't be Abyss, he'd be wrestling under a name similar to his real name. And WWE probably couldn't give two shits about anyone in TNA. Not that they shouldn't, just that they don't recognize talent if it's not in a HOSS frame.
  10. The only bands here I've heard that I actually consider emo are Embrace, Mineral, and Sunny Day Real Estate. I got into emo around five years ago when it was still "Underground" rock. I've never considered any of the bands Jason listed as emo, I've always seen them as the Mainstream's mutation of emo, much like Papa Roach and Linkin Park are the mainstream mutation of "Rap-core/Nu-Metal". I consider bands like Pop Unknown, Appleseed Cast, Brandtson, and the like to be emo.
  11. Wow, AoO had me fooled. I thought his imposing demeanor was merely a false internet pretense.
  12. So here's the question: Why are those here that used to be wrestling fans so hard on the ones that still are? It's like making fun of say, a Linkin Park fan, an American Idol fan, or a Dallas Cowboys fan. Anyone with bad taste is fair game, and the people who still watch wrestling today obviouslty have bad taste. Surprisingly, this makes complete sense. I no longer have any complaints about the board. As long as AoO bans Banders

  14. Is that the american defintion of freedom of speech? Yes. Actually, that's the REPUBLICAN definition.
  15. I've been wondering about this lately. Why post on an internet wrestling messageboard if you don't like wrestling?

    College sports

Ok, here's my two cents: Penny One-College Basketball is just more.... I'd venture to say.. classic than NBA ball now. Even without the LeBron's and the Carmelo's college hoops has the "team" mentality that the NBA lacks. The NBA feels like everyone there would rather be chilling at Jay-Z's club than playing their games sometimes. Good college ball has intensity, and the rivalries mean more because there are people who go to the school, and have went to the school in the past cheering the teams on. With the pros you just cheer whichever team you like for whatever reason. Penny Two-I'd say good college football is about even to early season NFL to me. Most of the college football I enjoy has something to do with an emotional connection to the team (for me, Tennessee) and the conference (SEC). There isn't much of a difference between the attitudes of NFL players and college players once a program hits a certain point, so you can't really say anything in that department. Late season & playoff NFL is nearly unbeatable, and the only thing that comes close is the rivalry games. Not to mention that the NCAA doesn't have the ownership problems that the NFL does. But that's not much of an issue.
  17. I could see Benoit as a top player, but not as THE top player. His role would be to make others look good, and to restore the belt's prestige when necessary.
  18. I'd say that Flair's DVD is the best so far, but here's why. Flair's DVD not only has a feature on the matches, but you can also watch the build. THAT makes Flair's DVD. Foley's lacks because it's just him talking about it, though if you read his books you'll already know what he's going to say. Benoit's DVD is both saved and killed by the alternate commentaries. If there is anything that makes me want Grisham fired, it's his lack of ANY wrestling knowledge before he got hired. I just got the ECW DVD, so I'll give my thoughts on that soon.
  19. Man, when Cornette calls your match off while it's happening, you know you're bad.
  20. I wonder if there will be a Ravishing Rick Rude figure?
  21. Along those same lines, at a recent ROH show (the 11/5 Liger show), Low Ki was wrestling Chad Collyer. Ki of course, as been a big time heel since his return to ROH and was heeling it up big time in this match. So I was cheering on Collyer for his comebacks and booing Ki. At one point, Low Ki did his "headstand kick to the face" thing that he does. He did the move to cut off Collyer's offense, so I booed. The guy in front of me turns around and goes: "Come on....didn't you think that was cool?" I gave him some kind of short answer (along the lines of "No" since I didn't think a long explanation was in order). He shoots me a look as if I was "not cool" for having the audacity to actually boo a heel regardless of how "cool" the move was. It's an experience to be at a live show and have someone get on you for actually booing a wrester who is doing a good job palying heel. Vince Russo fans are also a really interesting breed. You know, the really hardcore ones who believe that unless wrestling is the hot mainstream fad of the moment, it is "dying" and think that the solution is for wrestling to be more like other types of television. Similarly, I was at the 10/15 ROH show, and some dumbass kept yelling "Hey, I saw you lose to AJ on IMPACT!" to Roderick Strong.
  22. I'd agree if the stipulation was that Killings would stop dancing.
  23. I thought nothing would be THAT bad.
  24. I know I'm asking for it, here, but what exactly is the point of this game? Is it as retarded as it sounds?
  25. Actually, I would rather watch iMPACT if I thought that TNA was folding. The logic being that in a few months WWE will still be doing the same shit over and over and TNA won't be on at all. Get it while you can, essentially.
