  1. So here's a question: Has Batman: The Animated Series ruined all future Batman cartoons? I believe so. B:TAS was a fairly good translation of the comic book, while shows like "The Batman" seem like someone took the story of Batman and make it more accessible to kids. In other words, they water it down and make it flashier than neccessary.
  2. I personally think that one every other month would have been better.
  3. How about from left to right?
  4. Yes, but when DirecTV was showing the promo's, it was not TNA's doing. It was in DirecTV's best interest to advertise as the PPV's were taking up channel space in DirecTV's lineup. Now, it's in TNA's best interest and their not doing a good job. And if you have DirecTV, EVERY channel shows DirecTV commercials.
  5. I never said it was likely to happen, just that it should.
  6. I was wondering if anyone saw this, and what they thought about it. I'm not very fond of it myself, as though it is supposedly set in his early years, it makes Batman look to normal. He never "learns" anything from his encounters, which makes him look like he has to use giant robots to fight his fights for him. (The episode with Bane) Also, I don't like the redesigning of some of the characters (Joker, Bane, Scarface). What do you guys think?

Agent, you've covered my laptop in Pepsi. Congratulations.
  8. That's not the point.
  9. Can we get back to discussing TNA? Fuck whether or not Shane Douglas COULD have been something. He is where he is, and let's get past all this shit. Now, I agree completely with RedJed. Panda should stop, look at themselves and see that they've been dumb enough to unload all this money on a company seemingly without asking what for. They should sit down with the Jarretts and talk about how to trim some unnecessary fat. Whether that be dropping some contracts, using less Pyro, special effects, charging $5 at the door, I don't know. Then they should look into advertising the company. Hell, I have barely seen a TNA logo in the arena. When you're a wrestling company, it's just as important for your company's name to get over as it is for the wrestlers. I bet there are fans who go to watch the show that think that iMPACT is the name of the company. And yes, I believe ROH has surpassed TNA as #2 by far. If the wrestling world will learn anything from this era in history, lets hope they learn that television does not equal money. Wow, let me just say that this is quite possibly the greatest four words I've read in this forum. I think this is even smarter than that Banders Kennany fellow. Fuckhead. Of course I'm being sarcastic. Banders, I apologize for ripping on you so much, I want to let you know that your intelligence exceeds that of this poster by millions of IQ points. And Benny, if you're reading: IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING INTELLIGENT TO SAY, DON'T POST! (Apologies, but I got a little peeved at a few things.)
  10. I want another weekly update.
  11. I thought it was more of a showbusiness term. Like for magicians and carnies!
  12. Has anyone been reading Wolverine lately? I've slowly liked the series less and less since the re-launch. I like Rucka's work, but it seems like Marvel re-launched it to get it away from the standard Marvel comic book feel, and then changed their minds about 14 issues in. I just read issue 22 today, and I didn't much care for it, as their are too many cameos in the current storyline, and more than likely no continuity in the respective books of those making the cameos. Here's another part of my gripe: In the New X-Men books, they talked about how the X-Men no longer wore "costumes" because it frightened the humans and so forth. And then in Wolverine 22, someone states that they like mutants in costumes because they're more like superheroes. Can someone explain what happened to Marvel?
  13. I agree that TNA should do house shows. I DON'T Agree that it should be anywhere north of Tennessee. They should try to build a strong following for people who can actually show up at their tapings and PPV shows. It would help them more that way. Run some shows in Florida, SC, Georgia, etc. Get them excited to see your regular tapings first, THEN expand north. Anyhow, ROH pretty much dominates the northeast and midwest right now.
  14. Styles did a good job defending all over the place, even in ROH, but Jarrett is pretty much TNA only.
  15. Since they're taping 2 iMPACT's a week, it wouldn't be AS hard to pull it off now. Try to work out a deal with whatever company he's working with to have him on Tuesday's. I'm not sure about the details, I'd just like to see Corino, and the title defended somewhere other than TNA.
  16. I would pay to see this.
  17. Ha.. not even close, Velocity kicks Impacts ass in the ratings Grisham for Prez! If you read what he said, he was talking about the BDSSP specials, not iMPACT. And Grisham is a dumbass. If I ever met him in the street, I'd slap him around for ruining Benoit's commentary.
  18. If they're the ones I've seen, then Austin/Cactus Jack is in a double pack for $5.50 at Wal-Mart.
  19. On the contrary. I think Corino's Japanese commitments would make him a BETTER champ. Unlike Jarrett, he could actually defend the title somewhere other than TNA and he could do it in Japan, making him an actual WORLD champion. And as for Raven, give him a few good feuds, and he could hold the belt. I see him more in the "Jericho" spot, though. Building up the younger stars, as he is popular enough to lose without becoming the Val Venis of TNA.
  20. This Thread Is Ghey is my new favorite poster.
