I think she's implying that there's a proportion of established posters here with similar points of view who talk to each other over AIM which is comparable to Clique B, which is the same thing only in Boardum not on AIM. I may be wrong though.

Yeah, that's pretty accurate.

I got a degree in Palaeobiology in Evolution, couldn't get a job after a I retired so went to work in a bank. Three years on I've had a few promotions (which I didn't need a degree for) and I'm up to around $45k. Degrees aren't too important, but they certainly look good on a CV.

So the arguements for it are: 1) It's like some sports thing, and as we all know popularity on the net = sporting unpredictability 2) It allows posters who normally wouldn't be voted for to have some e-pleasure (like yourself) 3) It doesn't give a stronger overall tournament I'm not aware of the NCAA system, and as I'm just arguing against your point of view as opposed to you, I'll drop it, as it has no real relevance to anything. Finally, I fail to see how Muggs beating Admin is a shock. I'd have bet on that all the way.

Niskie's very well liked, Malibu has a lot af friends, kkk made it out of the last 16 by beating me (and belive me, I'm far more biased towards me) and Carnival has always defied the laws of natural selection. When you compare it to this years tournament, when your last eight is going to include two posters from the mediocre bracket, I'd say it's stronger. Besides, it's no easier than Czech's, or potentially your, route to the final eight this year. I think the final last time out was a suitable one. Maybe next year, it's worth seeding everybody in the 64 and doing it that way.

Ah, bless you. For the sake of comparison, below is last years tournament. I don't think anybody in Clique B got an easier round through than geniusmoment (apart from Lushus of course, he had it way easy). In fact, I got Banky at the same stage last year. The difference that because there were no brackets last year, and because the only people who visit this folder on a regular basis are people who have been here a while (which includes Clique B) people in Clique B are more likely to get voted for than, for example, HTQ or Al. The only block voting (I'm assuming you don't mean we were voting for communists) was in Carnival/Slayer, and Jugs was never going to win that anyway.
