Buyrate For WWE Backlash & Update On WMXX Buyrate
Jericho2000Mark replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
600 000 buys sounds a little fishy to me, especially since every other brand only PPV has drawn between 200 000-300 000 buys. Unless Foley is still THAT big of a draw. Although the ratings have yet to show otherwise. -
You mean like he got over Mack & Henry? I couldn't imagine SmackDown being any worse than it is now...until someone brought up Jindrak contending for the U.S Title, and The Bashams getting another run with the Tag Belts... I do like the idea of Big Show in a stable though. Maybe have Heyman manage one with Show, The DUDz and Booker...guys who were traded from Raw. Long could manage talented "Angry Minority Teams" like Yang & Sakoda and the F.B.I. Maybe they can have a Battle Royal where the winner gets Teddy Long as a manager and Shannon Moore somehow wins, much to Long's chagrin...then Long unwillingly leads him to the cruiserweight Title. There are so many possibilities for Teddy as a manager on SmackDown, it's just a shame JINDRAK is the best they can come up.

Orton/Shelton, Orton/Edge, Christian's Challenge
Jericho2000Mark replied to Zack Malibu's topic in The WWE Folder
Personally, I would like to see Edge & Christian Reunite, but have them booked as a Main Event stable, rather than just another Tag Team. Maybe they can do a gimmick where they "share" Trish(which should get her over as a slut even more). Edge as a face is terribly bland, and the reaction to him since his return has been lukewarm...at best. Even Benjamin is more over! Orton-Edge was guaranteed to SUCK ever since Edge cut his "I don't like you" promo. While Benjamin-Orton has looked very promising so far. They should also continue the Matt Hardy-Kane fued, leading to some sort of gimmick match at Bad Blood. I also like the idea of a Micheals-Triple H HIAC match...as long as it isn't the Main Event. I don't know about you guys, but a Benoit & Jericho vs Edge & Christian Main Event for Bad Blood sounds pretty good to me. They can add the stipulation, where if Edge or Christian pin Benoit or Jericho, they win the World Title and Tag Titles, and if Benoit or Jericho pin Edge or Christian, they win the Tag Titles(Both Edge & Benoit would still be holding their half of the Tag Titles). So the top matches for Bad Blood would be... World Title & Tag Titles Match: Chris Jericho & Chris Benoit vs Edge & Christian HIAC Match: Triple H vs Shawn Micheals WWE I.C Title Match: Randy Orton vs Shelton Benjamin Stipulation Match: Matt Hardy vs Kane -
Cena is becoming too repetitive, too soon. At one point I saw him as a potential World Champion, but unless he does something to keep his act fresh, it will die out by the end of the year. For the love of God, John, put deez nutz DOWN! As for Orton, I still hate the guy and he is still underserving of his push. He took two good bumps and held his own in a good match(albeit a gimmicked one), and he deserves props for that...but he sure as hell hasn't paid his dues, and he isn't over or good enough to skip right past them, like he has. His heat HAS been improving, but it's too inconsistent to justify his push.

Sakoda is far from a Japanese Superstar. He spent most of his career in UPW, and only did a couple tours for Zero-One.
-
Uhh...Why would they move one of the few credible Main Event Heels SmackDown has left, to Raw(who already has Evolution & Kane)?
-
I agree, A-Train is the best Hoss worker in the promotion...now that Brock is gone. His matches with Benoit, Edge, Mysterio, Lesnar and even Taker, have proved that. He only get's a bad rap, because a few Self-Proclaimed "Journalists" immideately write him off as a bad worker, simply for being a hoss.

Definitely Rock-Jericho. The matches, the promos and the heat was tremendous. Rock did his best to make Jericho a star, even though the "Un" Creative Team did their best to make him look like a "Jobber with a belt". Problem is, the whole fued was 14 months late. Their match at No Mercy SHOULD have taken place at SummerSlam 2000, when Jericho still had momentum(before his fueds with Kane & X-Pac made it come to a crashing halt) and next to Rock, he was more over than anyone in the entire sport(at the time)! If only they elevated Jericho & Benoit in 2000, that year would have been PERFECT! As well as give a decent blowoff to the Angle-Stephanie-Triple H love triangle, scrap that retarded stunt at Survivor Series where Triple H held back death, and go with Jericho as "The Driver" instead of Rikishi... I'll stop now...before this reaches Fantasy Booking levels. I liked the Jericho-Micheals fued from last year, but that was mostly because of Jericho's promos. ESPECIALLY the promo the night after Armageddon 2002. If Micheals hadn't gone over, this would have been my choice. Although I did mark out when Jericho sacked him after the match.

Ditto, and I would like to see more of Ivory(or see her at all for that matter). The rest of the Womens Division is horrible. Yes, even the overrated Molly Holly. Jazz has a good moveset compared to the other women, but is VERY sloppy and hasn't had a decent match in a while. To quote someone's Sig...Lita is currently the worst fucking wrestler alive(I cringe whenever I see her abomination of a suplex, or someone actually SELL her "Miss by a mile" kicks). Gail Kim, Jaqueline, Trish are so horrible they need no explanation. To be quite honest, I'm surprised Fit Finlay is still employed...he's done a TERRIBLE job with the bathroom break...err Womens Division. They should just scrap the division and keep the Women who are worth any shit as valets, and wrestle primarily in intergender matches. I like your list, but I would add Jindrak, Cade, Grenier, Sable, Sexay(yes, so soon), Bob Holly, Steiner(any starpower he might of had from WCW is gone), Heidenrich and Bradshaw...but not before he is squashed by Eddie on television, the Clothesline "from Hell" is No-Sold, and he returns the job to El Gran Luchador .

You were shocked to see Billy pick up a tainted, fluke pin, only for Hogan to completely squash him? I wasn't...

I guess A-Train and Rhyno are neck to neck(whatever that saying is) over who's the official Hoss Jobber on Raw. Both deserve much better than this. I wouldn't mind seeing another A-Train-Benoit match, only this time over the World Title. I might be the only one who actually enjoyed their series of matches on SmackDown, and I would rather see a Benoit-A-Train match on Raw, than the same Benoit & Face vs Evolution Main Event we have been getting every week since WrestleMania... Maybe this is why they are going with Edge-Orton instead?

Why are Cade and Jindrak getting singles pushes?
Jericho2000Mark replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
Yeah, unless he's sent to OVW after about a month or something. So he can learn to do a better dropkick and crossbody? -
Probably a Dropkick-Crossbody combo.
-
As boring as the Bashams are(and they ARE boring), they are nothing compared to Jindrak & Cade. At least The Bashams had a gimmick(not a good one, but better than being a couple of "blue chippers"), and their arsenal was a little more than JUST Dropkicks and Crossbodies. I can honestly say I have never heard an audible reaction for Jindrak & Cade, other than that one time they mentioned the "Fighting Men and Women in Iraq" a few months back...and that shouldn't even count. I suppose the Bashams are the most boring active team.
-
I pretty much hate ANY Dropkick-Crossbody machine...ESPECIALLY Jindrak & Cade. If "Slip-Kick" Tomko gets a fued with Jericho, I will hate him too.
-
I bet they could promote Austin-Goldberg like a boxing PPV, by selling an entire show on that one match, and hold it in the States. Austin & Goldberg could probably promote it themselves. Then fill the Undercard with a bunch of Indy talent and WWE rejects. Austin-Goldberg might not draw what it would have 5-4 Years ago, but there are definitely people who still wan't to see it. I have no doubt it would be the highest grossing Non-WWE U.S Wrestling PPV in years.

Why are Cade and Jindrak getting singles pushes?
Jericho2000Mark replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
Remember that one Raw a few months back, where EVERYONE BUT Jindrak & Cade drew an audible crowd reaction? Shouldn't that tell you something... I see absolutely nothing resembling potential in these Dropkick-Crossbody Machines. They draw less heat than anybody, they can drag ANYONE to a boring shitfest(remember their match with Roseycane?), their arsenal is 95% Dropkicks and Crossbodies, and they lack any signs of charisma. The only thing they have going for them is the "WWE look". I see no reason why they should be rewarded with pushes, it's not like either of them showed promise when they were a team. How in the heck can the "Un" Creative Team find something for these OVW clones, yet have nothing for guys like A-Train, Mysterio and Rhyno? All of who are already over, and more marketable than ANY Dropkick-Crossbody machine. OT: I've been lurking on this board for a few months now, and it feels great to finally post here.
