  1. True, I think they'll be the other challenger if they can avoid the injury bug. I just don't see Atlanta being as good as they were this year with a first-place schedule next year and with the cap problems they'll have next year(Vick and Price's gigantic contracts will bite them in the ass this offseason.)
  2. I was quite depressed after the game was over, but it's starting to wear off now. New England is an extremely good team and the defending champs, it would've been much worse had they lost to a complete underdog. You're just lucky you don't live in the Philadelphia area. I think I'm going to cut myself off from local news and WIP for the next few weeks, since they're likely going to be acting like this is Pearl Harbor x 50...
  3. I don't see the NFC being that strong next year (NFC East will still suck outside of Philly, Atlanta is going to take a fall next year when they have to play a first-place schedule, the NFC North is still weak, and the NFC West is still going to be horrible with Mike Moron and Seattle's possible FA losses) so the Eagles do have a pretty good chance of getting to Detroit.
  4. OK, I just came across this thread, so Howie being DNC chair will be quite the unintentional comedy. Hell we might even get another patented meltdown in 2006....
  5. Haha oh don't get me started on Reid's lollygagging with 5 minutes remaining. I was at the bar and people were pretty much screaming "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING? CALL TIMEOUT! SPIKE THE BALL!" when the Eagles were on that last drive. Pretty stupid on Reid's part there. I'd really like to see the Eagles draft a power RB in April, they got 5 picks in the first 3 rounds so they've got no excuse for not doing it. I think Greg Lewis' second half performance pretty much assured that Mitchell is gone. YOU'VE BECOME WHAT YOU HATE THE MOST!!
  6. Eh I figured it was the classy thing to do, and I said on an earlier page that I'd do it if the Eagles lost....
  7. I guess I might as well make my congratulatory post. Congrats to KingPk, Failed Mascot, Cartman and all the Pats fans on here. Your team deserved this one. It just makes me wonder though, will I ever see my team win a championship? I mean I've never seen one of my teams(Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, Sixers)win a title, but being the sadist I am, I know I'll be right back here next fall pushing my team again. Anyways, congrats Pats fans.
  8. According to Sal Paolontonio on ESPN, Koy Detmer nearly caused a riot by coming out of the team hotel to the bus wearing a grey pinstripe suit with a matching fedora and a cane. Considering that Koy usually buys $100 worth of clothes at Target for the year, this is hysterical....
  9. That would be the greatest thing ever...
  10. Sorry, natural instinct there
  11. I won't be here for the game, I'm going to a Super Bowl party with an open bar from 5 to 11. I'd like to say that it's been a great season, and win or lose, I'll be here tomorrow to either celebrate or congratulate the Pats fans here. I won't talk too much shit if they win(I probably can't say the same for UTSU though.....)
  12. http://www.extremeskins.com/modules.php?op...haha&file=index Great stuff, especially the talking Mitchell and Vanderjagt dolls.
  13. GREAT email I got tonight, take a look at it:
  14. Jaws can be just a little bit of a homer though.... I don't mind all of the picks for the Pats, but Hoge's "35-0 at halftime" pissed me off considering that he's been ragging on the Eagles all year...
  15. Remember though, that was the second time the Patriots were playing both Pittsburgh and Indy. Belichick is basically in Manning's head, and Roethlisberger's performance against the Jets should've pretty much told everyone that the Pats were going to roll over Pittsburgh. McNabb can definitley give the Patriots' defense trouble with his arm and mobility, whereas Manning only had an arm and Roethlisberger was injured and throwing picks out like candy.

  17. Well what did you expect? He's got to justify that Eagles 8-8 prediction he made in the preseason, along with that Steelers-Falcons Super Bowl pick. Something tells me Merril had one too many concussions in his playing days...
  18. He's been wrong about the Eagles the entire season. Picked them to finish 8-8 and for Washington to win the division. I believe he picked Minnesota in the divisionals and Atlanta in the championship game in his Steelers-Falcons SB pick. This is basically another chance to see Hoge fall flat on his face about the Eagles like the rest of the year. Had he picked the Eagles to win, I'd be REALLY worried since he pretty much never did the entire season. Just karma I guess.
  19. Uh oh, Merril Hoge has officially picked New England...
  20. Is anyone really suprised that another douchebag from the Univ of Colorado is making news? First Gary Barnett, now this..
  21. Mack Brown will get another top 5 class and lose to Oklahoma...
  22. Point well taken, I swear Williams would get 2 men on base before he finally threw a strike...
  23. I hope his doesn't bury his head in a towel like Curt did during all of Mitch Williams' appearances in the 1993 Series...
  24. If that was acting on Orton's part it was a great job of it, it looked like a legit concussion to me.
  25. Wrong topic for this post
