To clarify the double-cross, it wasn't against Harley. Here's the match in question, the fall occurs 3:30 into the clip. Had it been a cross on Harley, there is no way that Rich could've held his shoulders down in that fashion. The double-cross would've been against the National Wrestling Alliance.

Interesting to hear your thoughts on the ECW show, since I was live in attendance. It really hurts at times to run ECW after the Smackdown taping. If you're close enough to the curtain, you can actually hear them breaking down the Smackdown set! The crowd was about 2/3 there by the Punk/Chavo match, but the remaining crowd really dug C.M. Punk. Chavo is at least a recognizable name, and it was his third appearance of the night. I felt both major matches were quite good. Moore/Yang though really lacked heat. The crowd liked them, but wasn't enthusiastic.

The poll was Dec. 03, Raw from MSG in '97, and the Razor/Kid episode in 1993. -

I think that WAS Al! Yes it was. And yes, Dr. Meyers is completely insane. -
Is that the play where the ball hit a speaker on the roof and nobody could figure out the rule? Or am I thinking of a different game? Different game. In this case, runners on 1st/2nd with none out. Garry Maddox hits a one-hop ball to pitcher Vern Ruhle who throws to first. One of the umpires decides the ball was caught on the fly, putting the other two runners in jeopardy. The apparent triple play is negotiated down to a double play.

First segment: Vickie Guerrero interview. We get Rey Misterio, Edge, then Chavo Guerrero. Mostly stuff about Edge, Eddie Guerrero, etc. Vickie sets up Chavo vs. Rey for later in the show. Jamie Noble d. Chuck Palumbo. Palumbo screams at Michelle after the loss, drawing out Noble again. This closing segment was re-taped. Batista d. MVP by countout. MVP vs. Ric Flair is set for the Royal Rumble. Undertaker d. Mark Henry & Matt Stryker in a handicap match, pinning Stryker following a tombstone piledriver. Big Daddy V attempted to attack the Undertaker following the match, but Taker fought off him and Henry. Vince McMahon with Hornswaggle & Finlay. Since Hornswaggle is in the Rumble, Finlay is as well. Hornswaggle d. Dalip Singh in an arm wrestling match. Finlay used some type of shock device hooked to the arm wrestling table to help Hornswaggle win. Kane d. Domino Rey Mysterio d. Chavo Guerrero. A few blown spots in this one so it might be interesting to see any edit job. Edge did commentary for the match and attacked Rey after the win. Dark Matches Pre: Kofi Kingston & Funaki d. the Highlanders Post: Batista d. Edge via DQ after Edge hit a low blow.

Which class? I graduated with a B.A. in history, so history majors I have a better chance of recognizing than anyone else. -

What it actually accomplishes is that it enables them to keep disassembling the Smackdown set while the ECW show is in progress. -
That's on most of their recent dvds, you can get to it directly by typing dvdsurvey.wwe.com into your browser. In the survey, they ask how much you'd pay for a hi-def player. Think they're gonna release DVD's in HD? Or is it just to judge how many people watch Raw and Smackdown in HD. Probably just to gauge the point in time when releasing HD dvds will become financially beneficial for the company. The first dvd to merit such a release would be the '08 Rumble.

Stupid is my guess. You know I can close this thread for going off topic, right?

Watching the TNT show on 24/7. Thank god David Shultz slapped John Stossel and got himself blackballed, because his Memphis-style cheap heat is really tiresome. -

So two girls who work at my place were arrested for theft, to the tune of $100,000. http://www.wnep.com/Global/story.asp?S=7611232 -
That still doesn't answer the question about the "B12 injections." People who take Vitamin B12 supplements say that they do so only because they were diagnosed with a B12 deficiency, and in the even that one has this deficiency, it's administered through a pill, not a shot in your ass. Moreover, he said that he was taking this odd B12/lidocaine cocktail "for muh joints," which I don't believe either would affect. Marion Jones was sentenced to six months today. I see more ass injections in Roger's future. I had B12 injections for a time due to my diabetes. It happens.

Jack, what's your roommate's first name (the one who's a history major)? -
That's pretty common actually. Mickey Mantle was named for Mickey Cochrane.

Flair is already wrestling MVP at the PPV. He will not be in the Rumble.

Piece of advice Milky, you best rescind your dislike of Sasha Gray in the pornstar thread, or else you won't get far with her. And to provide a serious response, that member title changes after 20 posts. Of course, you can change it by going to "My Controls."

Tournaments like this are great, they really give me a chance to form my enemies list.

And Smues, you can't UNCLASSIC a thread! Thank goodness there are still 4 hours in the day to think of plan B.

The Astrodome 1. October 15, 1986. Game six of the NLCS, Mets win in 16. 2. October 12, 1980. Phillies win the NLCS, capping the most intense playoff series ever. 3. October 11, 1980. Game four of said series. Besides the Phillies comeback, highlight is a controversial fourth inning play that takes 15 minutes to untangle. 4. April 9, 1965. First exhibition game of Astrodome sees Mickey Mantle hit first home run. 5. April 15, 1968. Lots of games under consideration, including no-hitters. I went ahead and picked this obscure gem. Not really famous per say, but check out two teams posting duel shutouts for nearly 24 innings! http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/HO...196804150.shtml

Atlanta Fulton County Stadium 1. April 8, 1974. Hank Aaron hits his 715th career home run. 2. October 28, 1995. The Braves win their only World Series in Atlanta. 3. October 14, 1992. The greatest ending to a league championship series ever. Down 2-1 with two outs in the ninth and the bases loaded, Fernando Cabrera drives in two runs with a single. 4. October 23, 1996. Mark Wohlers meets Jim Leyritz in game four of the World Series. 5. July 4, 1985. The wildest game ever, the Mets beat the Braves 16-13 in 19 innings. Postgame fireworks at 3:55am go on as planned.
