I subscribe to WWE 24/7 as it's relatively affordable at $6.95 a month and a good value. I would NOT upgrade my cable service simply to watch professional wrestling.

There should not be a choice between missing a good game and a night of sleep. 2:26 in the goddamned morning on the east coast. Fuck Bud Selig and MLB.

Don't ever bother with ECW match times. The television matches were often edited.

You get much the same reaction if you introduce dancing and alcohol to my grandparents. What kind of campus restaurant serves alcohol though? -
Beats black pinstripes on white.

That same play made Derek Jeter a fielding legend. Let's see what it does for Tulowitzki.

Are you sure? What if it's not in high definition?

He's got a 7.14 ERA in eight starts at Citizens Bank Park. He hasn't demonstrated elite skills in a couple of years, and at the end of the season he was downright awful.

How do you feel about the reports that the Phillies are interested in Curt Shilling, Mariano Rivera, and Mike Lowell? 1. Curt Schilling is one of the few ex-Phillies not shit on by the fanbase. He had good numbers and good peripherals this season pitching in Fenway Park. More importantly, he may desire a one-year contract. It's a much better deal than giving a multi-year deal for mediocrity. 2. Mariano Rivera is the greatest closer of our time. No contest. 3. I hesitate on Mike Lowell because I fear the Phils will overpay for a big year to improve an offense that really doesn't need help. Lowell was less impressive away from Fenway. There are guys who do a lot of work on batted balls, so the Phils will have much more information on the number of balls that would pass the short fence at Citizens Bank Park. I would be more inclined to take a look at Pedro Feliz. His OBP is dreadful, but he'd be cheaper, his defense is excellent, and he has pop. This team already led the league in runs scored, OBP and slugging percentage. How much do you need to sweat the offense?

I'll go along with that. ECW was really quite overrated in retrospect. I enjoyed it in 1995 when they featured guys like Guerrero, Malenko etc. getting match time. 1996 it became unwatchable, especially as WWF/WCW got their shit together.

The Phillies declined the 2008 options of Rod Barajas and Abraham Nunez. The Barajas departure may finally mean a steady MLB job for Chris Coste. I hope if Coste doesn't make it, he's allowed to pursue a job with another team. There are several teams, Houston comes to mind, that would benefit from making him a starter.

total agreement...Buelah may be the worst Diva I've ever seen. "I'M PREGNANT!" fuck off I'm sure I've seen worse. Since I was 14 when I saw these for the first time, it's hard to dislike Beulah. She did a nude spread for goodness sakes! On that note, bonus points to the poster who can get me a page with those pictures. My friend's been dying to see them and searches have proved fruitless.

Hopefully this weekend. If someone wants to do the legwork, dividing the votes into 1st, 2nd, etc. into a spreadsheet for each player, that would save me a bit of time.

Depends on the form. You can slide into the bad hard and make it difficult for the opposing player to make the play. When you make the slide in such a way that it's counter-productive to proper form, it's obvious your sole intention is to interfere with the play. The umpires almost certainly have gotten a directive from MLB recently as I've seen more more this season than I can remember previously.

God damn this is a long half inning. I've been waiting for it to end to go piss.

Only as long as Dallas Green isn't interested.

This is a fantastic matchup. The young kids on the Diamondbacks, Dodgers and Rockies are going to rule the division for the next few years, this is a sneak preview. The crew at BTF say Chip Caray is an abysmal announcer. Any impressions?

The Braves still have another year of Teixeira, so it's way too early to call it a failure. The prized commodity of the deal was Saltalamacchia, and since the Braves already have Brian McCann he was expendable.

It's a defining moment.

WOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW. Mr. think he knows it all finally got something wrong. Justice might have been injury prone after 1997 but he did hit 41 homeruns and drove in 120 rbi's in 2000. Last time I checked he was the spark plug he guided the Yankees to the playoffs when the team played poorly in the second half and I could have sworn he won the 2000 ALCS MVP against Seattle. That is pretty good for an average player. So let's get this straight. He played great for the Yankees when they lost a bunch of games? What kind of argument is that? As Bruiser indicated, that's one season. Out of five. Seasons in which he was paid superstar money. He had good seasons, but he wasn't a superstar. That's the point. One more consideration of the trade. The Braves saved nearly $12 million dollars by trading Grissom and Justice. They signed Andres Galarraga for $8.5 Million.

+infinity. I wrote an article for my school's newspaper saying how fucking terrible this album is. It is complete and utter fucking shit. I hope you put it in those words.

Here's a clue. They're in the top half of the National League in runs allowed.
