We're doing pretty well on time I think. We shouldn't have a problem getting the draft done prior to opening day. Since MJ's pick was pending because he went over the 24 hour time limit, Stephen Joseph technically went on the clock immediately following Cena's pick. Alright the yahoo league is set up. I just copied the settings from last season and moved the waiver wire time up 1 day. You guys can start signing up. There's a little drop down box right below the settings link on the main league page. I thought it was a neat feature.

No not anymore. Prior to the draft you could. Right now is all about drafting. The deadline for any trades for players or draft picks was 5pm Eastern on Sunday, Feb 3rd. Once the draft is over and the players are entered in the league page the trade window will open back up.

I was pretty surprised with Lesnar. I really didn't think he'd win his first UFC match, however I sure as hell didn't think he'd look that good. I think Mir was caught off guard how quick Lesnar was with his boxing and his take downs. As soon as Brock learns any sort of patience and ground defense, I think he's going to be an extremely dangerous heavyweight. Mir was overpowered and completely outmatched in that fight. All Frank could do was hope to god Brock's inexperience left some sort of submission opening and eventually it did. Mir took a hell of a pounding in the short amount of time that fight went. Huge win for Mir though. I look forward to seeing who Mir and Lesnar face next. Those knees from Boetsch... devastating. Sylvia looked pretty good I thought. I had a feeling as long as he didn't screw up on the ground he was easily going to win the fight. He ended up screwing up on the ground and got choked out. Tim looked really focused though and could essentially do anything he wanted in the fight. No way Nogueira could win that fight without a tapout.

Keepers are completely off limits. They're already part of a team. Any baseball player's name that is already in post 1 or post 2 is already on a team and cannot be drafted.

The yahoo league will get created once yahoo has that stuff up. There's a list of players that are keepers in the 2nd post. I think they normally get the league pages up around the middle of February. Until then you'll have to find an alternate source for player rankings. I think yahoo has already started doing their power rankings and I've already seen the Baseball Magazines starting to hit stores.

Ok, it seems like there is strong support for 1 day waiver wire. I think we'll go with that this year. Pitching Innings is going to stay the same though. It looks like no trades are going to go down since nothing has been posted. We’ll try and get some better rules for it and get a longer window for it next year as opposed to the 1 week we had this year. So we're gonna start drafting on Monday and VX is gonna start things off with the first pick. We're gonna use the same basic rules as we did last year with the draft. I'll post the general rules for the new managers. Once you are on the clock you have 24 hours to make a selection. You have 24 hours following the post of the previous person to make your selection. Your pick becomes 'suspended'. Meaning, your place in the draft order is skipped and the next manager can make his selection and so on. For the person that has the suspended pick, you can jump back in to the draft and make your pick whenever you finally get around to doing it. If a player is not in the yahoo player pool he can not be drafted. This is usually not an issue until the 2nd half of the draft when people start looking for rookies. If you do draft someone that isn't in the player pool, you'll be told to select a new player. If you know you’re going to be out of town or unable to check a computer for a few days, it’s a good idea to send someone some preranked players so they can post it for you. In the event that you pick someone that has either already been selected or is a keeper, you will have to select a new player. If the team after you makes a selection prior to you correcting your pick, the player the team after you selected is their property and you can not select them. Moral of the story, check the draft results in post 1 and check the keepers in post 2 prior to making a selection. Chris has sent me some preranks since he’s on vacation right now so he’s all set even though he won’t be around for few rounds. When making your pick, make sure you put down the players name and all that good stuff. Pictures are not required, but are encouraged.
