First off, it's "more" informed, but "better" informed. Grammar and reading wasn't exactly your forte back in grade school, eh? I'm assuming grade school because you have all the eloquence that someone with just that sort of education might possess. As if young teens don't have access to the internet, or the newspaper. And Glenn Beck is no more a source of "national coverage of politics" than CNN, local news, or-here's one- FUCKING GOOGLE. It's not like this is just one person saying it, Marv, it's EVERYONE in the thread. You're a headache and a nuisance to the thread. Please, do us a favor and stop posting so damn much. I said I check the internet, which last time I checked includes google. I doubt it very seriously that any teenagers are reading the paper on a daily basis.. And for all the Glenn Beck hate at least he devotes a majority of his 4 hours daily to actual political issues and not garbage about what Britney Spears is doing 24/7.

That pretty much sums up your entire tenure in this folder. I know I've met better informed 15 year olds than you. At least I know they can read. "Better" informed is an opinion. I read the local newspaper everyday for local issue coverage, read the internet and listen to Glenn Beck evdery day for national coverage of politics. I dare say Im probably more informed on politics than most adults I know. and man..I can hardly wait for Obama/Mccain. uggh

Obama and Mccain won in MD...but I still wanna see CNNs county map thingy on MD if they'll show it..

how the hell does a 15 year old know their political affiliation? I remember when I voted for Ross Perot in my Elementary School Election 16 years ago because I liked his cool charts. Because normal 15 year olds of the 21st (And even the 20th) Century are, as proven by most psychologists, able to understand laws, morals, and the consequences that come with them. Comparing them to you thinking Perot's charts were cool designs to put on your helmet is the sort of retardation... well, that we've come to expect from you. I dont think many 15 year olds even have a grasp of the problems facing the US today..from the economy to illegal immigration to the war to energy issues. I doubt many of them are watching CNN or reading a newspaper unless its for some lame school project that they really dont care about. When I was 15 I didnt give a rats ass about wellfare reform or what was happening in Kosovo or any other major issues of the mid 1990's..

FUCK THAT! A goddamn year 20 months if you figure from last year's finale in May to January of 09..I had hopes that they might put it in September but they wanted to leave it uniterupted..

Maryland is voting til 9:30 due to bad weather..it was raining here earlier but I do know there were some minor winter storm warnings west/north of here.

Like I once heard, the mortality rate for humans is always 100%..anyway.. The sports teams are miserable...but seriously.. How about the rules in MD that are allowing 17 year olds the right to vote if they will be 18 by the general election? Yes, I want annoying 17 year olds deciding the future. I cant see them voting for Mccain since he's a grumpy old man at least. Odds are it wont be more than a couple hundred 17 year olds anyway..and even though they got the day off from school today I doubt many of them will end up voting anyway..so its not really an issue.. Voter turnout in MD is supposedly going to be about 40%, up from 24% in the 04 primary.

Dont mean to mention the two dreaded GB words again, but Glenn Beck had an "Liscense to Procreate" application to the US Department of Parenting in his book in the chapter on parenting. He also suggested that the couple would have to go through a simulated parenting exercise over the course of 3 months or so having to deal with the a baby crying all night and needing to be fed and the like.. Considering the things you have to fill out an application to do (rent movies, get a job, buy a house) I cant see why anyone would have a problem with it.
-
Dude... please stop. Im sorry that his book is the only book I have near me at the current moment...I dont have a library of books available.

"Bad call!" the stripper adds in a sultry voice. There's only one problem: Arcuri had already proven that the phone sex allegation wasn't true. His coworker had used his hotel room phone and indadvertently dialed a 1-800 prefix instead of a 212 prefix when trying to reach the state's Department of Criminal Justice Services. Glenn Beck's "An Inconvenient Book" in the Chapter on Political Games, specifically about Micheal Arcuri, a Democrat running for NY's 24th Congressional District and the ads run by the Republican Rey Meier against him featuring a strippers voice linking him to calling phone sex lines on the government's dime.

The Eastern shore of MD is nicer than the Western shore, but its not that much better.
-
Not in MD..and since they moved up the Primary this year but didnt advertise that they moved up the deadline to register/re-affiliate in order to vote in the primary, a lot of people in MD were kept from registering so they could vote in the Primary.
-
I dont get to vote today but I just went by the school polling place and there was like 3 cars parked outside. damn being an independent in a state thats not messed up enough to allow independents to vote in either parties primary! not fair! I cant wait to see the voting map breakdown of MD on CNN. Im willing to bet that Huckabee does on the Eastern Shore but not enough to win since the rest of MD will go Mccain. Im pretty sure the entire state will go towards Obama on the democrat side.

Im not saying they dont save lives and I use mine every time I get in the car, but thats because I dont want to die in a car accident. But government requiring the use of seatbelts is basically the government saying you're too stupid to realize that and not take steps to take care of yourself. I know that most people DO wear them now, but it took the fear of getting pulled over and getting a large fine and points on their liscense to do it. Its just like Universal Health Care. You're too stupid to get healthcare for yourself (since I believe the figure is over half the of the uninsured are able to afford it and choose not to for various reasons) and they want to penalize you (garnish wages if you dont sign up for it) into getting health care to take care of yourself. The government's main responsibility isn't to take care of each person..its to protect the people of the country but not to take care of them like their mommy would. If people dont want to wear seatbelts, have health insurance, or if they want to be able to eat trans fat laden foods and smoke if they want to even if it would kill them, its their choice and they should be able to do so. But Big Brother..er..Nanny is here to keep you from killing yourself..

The OaO Raw Is Taped thread - 11/2/2008

To be fair..didnt they start hyping up all 3 matches (hardy/HBK, hornswaggle/vince, Cena/Henry) last week? A non PPV match getting a week of hype is rare. And for the most part, substitute JBL/Jericho and for the vince crap and you had a pretty solid show..that they hyped somewhat. the biggest surprise to me is HHH not being on RAW for the two weeks prior to No Way Out and the EC. I wonder if theres any chance (yes I know it was unfortunately timed personal reason to miss a double taping) that they go with Hardy in the EC instead? HHH goes to the MITB match maybe? -

NASCAR n WRASSLIN. and this is what everyone wants to see.. -
I agree but theres a possibility he sees an opening with our economy as bad as it is to have an impact on the elections and everything.. It would most certainly mean $5 a gallon gas if the price of a barrel of oil went up to close $200 and a short term shortage.. And for reference, the price went up like $2 a barrel today just on the news of his threat.
-
so what does everyone think about Hugo Chavez's threat to cut off oil exports to the US? Our economy clearly cant handle a 100% jump in oil prices and drop in supply (seeing as though Venezuela is our #1 source of oil) but everything Ive read says it might be bad initially but the US has oil reserves we could use and we could get more oil from other countries..but still.. Im interested in what the candidates would do about it to either stop it or fix the situation..I havent heard anything on that yet.
-
I'll admit.. I laughed
-
I even now agree with the argument against seatbelt laws..seatbelts shouldnt be mandatory, its the government sticking its nose in things and is arguably where the whole nanny government started. People should have the option to wear them and suffer the consequences of not if they were in an accident, but no you cant make that decision for yourself. Im surprised they havent mandated using helmets in cars to prevent head injuries like they do on bikes and in auto racing. If seatbelts save lives, imagine how many people's lives would be saved with hemets!
