Well I didn't cite any specific issues, just that Obama is liberal on most of them. I think you are underestimating the damage the 'liberal' label can do to someone in some parts of the US. There was a GOP primary congressional race here where the whole thing was just candidates throwing around accusations of the others being liberal. And guess what? It worked. But my point is that this guy just labeled everyone who opposed him a liberal, and that won him the race over a longtime incumbent. There are just a ton of people in this country who will never vote for anyone considered liberal, regardless of what the actual issues are. The whole campaign on both sides (im not even going to count EJ "who knew" Pipkin) was ugly from the start as it was a race to by Harris to outspend and make Gilchrest out to be liberal and it worked. Gilchrest was a moderate republican yes, but he almost had to be in a state that is mostly democrat controlled. The 1rst district is composed of the eastern shore + Anne Arundel, Harford and Baltimore counties. Gilchrest won all of the counties on the Eastern shore but of course it doesnt matter one bit since Harris carried the 3 more populated counties and was from Baltimore County. People around here, who have supported Gilchrest for his 9 terms will more than likely NOT vote for him against the Democrat Frank M. Kratovil, who is from the Eastern Shore, so I can almost guarantee Harris doesn't win the general election. People around here have been calling conspiracy anyway since they kept open the polling an extra 90 minutes for weather problems on the western shore but dont think the same would have been done had it been snowing over here.

I know I'll get flack for making so many moves (most in the league at 40 with the trade) but Ive had constant injuries and in a league with no injured roster spot...and its a testament to my moves that I should be able to crack the top 5 after this week. Ive helped out my 3 pointers enough to probably win my 2nd 3 pointer cat of the season. As for this trade I made, I think it will solidify my dominance in the blocks category with 3 of the top 5 shot blockers in the NBA and boost me to the top in rebounds. I took a loss in assists but Im looking at some alternatives and Ive been without Harris for awhile anyway and still doing well so it wont be as bad. My goal is to get a top 4 slot for the playoffs and keep it for 5 more weeks..

Good for them. It's ridiculous that legislatures care what consenting adults are doing in the privacy of their own bedrooms. But individual towns will probably go apeshit now and decide to put restrictions on the shops that sell them so that the sex shops are treated like sex offenders (ie not near schools churches public places, playgrounds etc) Its happening here that way at least..THINK OF THE CHILDREN

the US still has military bases in Japan, Germany and Italy dating back to shortly after WW2.. I happen to think that there probably should be a military base or two in Iraq just to have a presence in the middle east in case something happens...

We should be putting more emphasis on the contents of the speech instead of the delivery of the speech. its like buying a cheap $.50 piece of crap and paying $5 for it because it comes in a nice pretty package..you could get the same cheap $.50 piece of crap for $.50 if it came in a crappy package but no one will buy it..put it in a spiffy expensive looking package and people will be all over it even if the product itself is still crap. If we as Americans did that Obama wouldnt be even close to where he is today because he doesnt really have that much substance behind what he says aside from hope and change..I like that he called himself a hopemonger..thats what he is haha. For all I hate about Mccain, at least hes put most of what he believes on the major issues out on the table in a "take it or leave it" manner..and I suppose thats whats gotten him to where he is. Its a shame hes absolutely wrong on about 90% of them but at least hes put it out there.
