  1. A) Lots of people have dishes in weather prone areas, as long as the dish is installed right, you shouldnt have problems. B) FCC law mandates that renters allow people to install a satellite dish, but most people dont know this (antenna = satellite dish in the following) C) There are just as many people subbing to directv in urban areas as rural now. I doubt you could get a good signal in Downtown areas like NYC but how many people actually live in those areas? but anyway..
  2. Good News Everyone (ha) I'm off today. Im getting Bills/Steelers & Packers/Giants @1 and Jets/Ravens & Cowboys/Dolphins @4 all in HD except Dal/Mia cause my local fox isn't HD and it doesnt matter cause I wont watch it anyway. YAY..I get to watch all 3 lousy NY Football teams...lose.
  3. The Bengals play the browns again week 16. They play @Seahawks, Patriots, @Chiefs, Jets and Steelers through October (which is as long as I give this). Im not gonna wait til week 5 or 6 to take their next possible guaranteed victory (and who knows, the Jets and Chiefs could be better by then) to take them when they play a piss poor Browns team this week and its a lock for a victory. And the "pick the team playing the Browns" strategy might not work next week. They play Oakland, and Id be tempted to think they could possibly win that game..
  4. Im convinced all of the talking issues are because you can say whatever the hell you want at home watching a DVD... My favorite is people who come in late and trip over you trying to get a seat in your row when theres several other empty rows available.
  5. Bad move. While a defeat of Cleveland might seem automatic, you shouldn't waste that team when they'll have an incredibly soft schedule. It isnt like this is going to last the entire NFL Season and I still have every team but the Steelers to pick from. I'll take the all but guaranteed win vs the Browns and move on to week 3 and go from there..if you try and play this from a "Id pick this team this week but they play a crappier team in a couple weeks so I dont wanna pick them this week now" standpoint, you'll get screwed and not even make it to a couple weeks later.
  6. Im going with the Bengals.
  7. I have a hard time believing the Patriots are going to be hurt by losing a first round draft pick considering they had 2 and it wouldn't have been cheap to sign 2 first round picks. They probably would have traded one of them in a draft day deal or something. And the Patriots have drafted wisely enough over the last few years that they probably can draft a similar player in a later round anyway for better value. They aren't going to miss a measly draft pick. And I dont know how much Belichick makes, but its ashame he isn't in the Coaches Union who probably could fight to hammer that fine down for him, at least he will have to pay the whole fine.
  8. Why? They won that game without any "cheating" video's. The camera guy was removed in the middle of the first quarter. Halfassed logic. Its not cheating if you only do it for the first half of the first quarter. They were still given an unfair advantage and they happened to win the game.. I would have thought you'd have taken the hint the first time you posted this and we all ignored it. The forfeiting the loss in the instance might have been harsh, but the penalty doled out by the NFL is the equivalent of a slap on the wrist. If Goodell's trying to toughen up his stance on the image of the league, he should nip this in the bud now and send the message that cheating IN ANY WAY isn't tolerated, because apparently is ok to cheat if you're a head coach. Belichick should have been suspended, but I knew that wouldn't happen for various reasons, the least of which being its not the Buffalo Bills or Carolina Panthers involved in the scandal, even though this isn't even the first time that the Patriots have been alledged of taping from the sidelines and other "strange occurances" during games. Someone will find a more covert way of video taping and they aren't gonna care cause its just a freaking draft pick and a fine as punishment. With 1 game being the possible difference between making the playoffs and getting fired, its probably not that tough a choice, and in fact I figure now that the penalty for such a violation has been established and in precedent, It might be an even easier choice.
  9. I think they should have had to forfeit the win vs the Jets..possibly not making the playoffs by 1 game because of this would have more consequence than losing 1 of their draft picks considering they still have a first rounder from SF. And I can hardly wait for the Ravens/Jets matchup..possibly a battle of the backup QBS!

I saw a Hitatchi 51 inch projection HDTV on clearance for $599 at Sears a few weeks back. There was also a 42 inch Toshibia DLP Projection HDTV for $649 that was an open box model that looked fine. Granted youd have to be lucky that your store would have one, but you can find cheaper large TVs, especially these Projection models, on clearance for around that price. Projection HDTVs are going bye bye in favor of LCD/DLP/Plasma as those are getting cheaper for the same sizes as the Projection models and the sizes on the cabinets of the projection models are larger. I wouldnt pay $200 or $300 to fix a tv that will more than likely crap out on you again..
  11. So you can cheat as long as you dont do it in the 2nd half? What kind of half assed logic is that?
  12. I think they should have to forefeit the victory vs the Jets.. A couple of draft picks isn't going to matter much, unless its their first and second round picks. And the Patriots have 2 in the first and third rounds in 08 (1st from SF, 3rd from OAK) so even if they take away the ones NE earns with their finish, I dont think they can touch the ones that were the result of trades so NE still gets picks.

Cause if you find the right deal, you can get a better tv for a couple hundred more than the cost of fixing the tv, and who's to say it wont blow up again in a couple months?
  14. So, what exactly does this have to do with Comcast? I know you have difficulty comprehending that you're communicating with actual people on the internet, and that you're not just replying to random surveys to talk about yourself for a while when posting here, but please make an effort to at least stay relevant to the topic. Directv offers tv just like Comcast..and Im just giving the info as to how other companies compare in price and all.. duh You don't think Comcast has the TV market monopoly do you?

  16. LAST PLACE! WHOOHOO!
  17. The 49ers are doing a better job of a comeback than the Ravens did.
  18. Hopefully this is the last time the 3 Mikes ever do a football game.
  19. are they playing bad just to give Ditka something to rant about every 30 seconds?
  20. This is the reason I don't like the outcome. If it hadn't taken up sooooo much tv time, it would have been funny. When you devote this much time to an angle, the payoff should be something rather big. Instead its not really going to lead to anything. Maybe after the suspension, kennedy will prove he is the real son after all. That's the only good I can see coming out of it except some comedy bits. Kennedy vs Hornswaggle McMahon! YEAH! Can't wait for that. They'll probably go the route where someone digs around and finds out that the woman is lying and its found out that someone put her up to it to embarrass Vince... KENNEDY or more likely.. DX when HBK comes back..
  21. I kinda though the doubleheader MNF games were a good idea, but inevitably you'd get stinkers since there'd have to be games featuring Arizona Oakland and SF, being that the 2nd game would need to start so late..they could only do so many Chargers, Seahawks and Broncos games. and my fantasy team is pretty much crap if Leinart doesnt start playing..
  22. Im not too peeved about the Ravens loss as I was about an hour 1/2 ago because I took some comfort in the Ravens upcoming schedule: Jets Cardinals @Browns @49ers Rams @Bills They should be 6-1 going into their bye week at the end of October. 7-0 would have been awesome, 6-1 is good.
  23. I'll even ruin the bye week..just for you. Honestly, dont look for me here except for the national primetime tv games (steelers 11/5, pats 12/3 , colts 12/9) All the other games I'll probably be at work, but I'll be home for those cause I get off at 7. Might be here for the occasional game but dont count on it. Oh, and give me a break. The Ravens are the bright spot of Baltimore sports and it looks like the Orioles must have rubbed off on them somehow. They need to build a huge quaratine fence around Camden Yards to keep the suckiness away from the Ravens if it hasn't already been transfered..
  24. Hes bald. and actually..screw it..after the night Ive had this made me laugh.
  25. and Leinart throws an int on his first pass to add insult to injury for me..argh..
