Its quite obvious that the key to winning this year is players who catch a lot of passes because receptions are worth 1 whole point. 1 reception for 0 yards still equals 20 yards rushing for a RB. Its pretty crazy, but Im glad that one of my RB's, Lamont Jordan, is a big threat for catching the football as much as he is for rushing.

Heres where Im sitting.. Threshold - the 2nd episode was ok, but Im more interested in Surface after 1 episode than I am in Threshold after what amounts to 3 episodes. Has a better cast than Surface, but the production values are worse.. C+ Surface - See above B+ E-Ring - wasn't as bad as I figured, and from the preview for this coming weeks episode it looks like it will be picking up steam. C Bones - I still need to watch last weeks episode. I dont think thats a good sign. For what its worth, the first episode was ok but it didn't do anything to distinguish itself from most of the "procedural crime dramas" out there..C Reunion - I dont think the concept is as good as I thought it to be. The first episode was really good, but then the 2nd episode fell flat, and it didn't help that it was delayed a week. Its on a bad night and time (up against CSI/Apprentice) and its low ratings are probably going to get it canceled, but maybe they'll need to fill a whole in their lineup somewhere else. I think MAYBE if its given some time the story could pick up..but the question is will it get that time? C- War at Home - OMG DRUG HUMOR IN THE FAMILY HOUR! ALERT THE FCC! I have a feeling this is going to hang around longer than most people thought after the first episode. B Kitchen Confidential - the first episode was funny in spots, but I dont see it lasting long, and if Fox doesn't pull the plug, Id be more worried that it will increadingly become less funny..C+ My Name is Earl - I was actually underwelmed just a bit, but it was still one of the best new fall shows. B+ Prison Break - unfair advantage of already being 5 episodes in, but its easily the best new show that I've watched. The only bad thing is there's only 2 more episodes and then it goes away for over a month..but I think that won't hurt it that much.A- In Memoriam Head Cases - Hadn't planned on watching it, but I caught the first episode and thought it was actually a pretty decent show despite the fact that you could tell Fox didn't care about it. They could have at least given it 1 more episode..

I really hate the "lets see how long we can draw out this pointless little bit until we get a forced laugh out of you when its finally over and you laugh because you cant remember the first 3/4 of the bit and the last part is actually the funny part but we couldn't just get to the funny part, we had to draw it out because know cause we've got a 22 minute show and only about 2 minutes worth of actual funny material and if we just gave you the funny part, you'd be bitching cause you'd be staring at a blank screen for 20 minutes, but hey..that 2 minutes was funny..wasn't it?" hmph. The Will Farrell thing was a prime example of that. The caveman couple thing wasn't funny at all. An occasional long drawn out joke is ok, but when they start needing two or three of them in a single episode..its kinda bad. And they already did a caveman joke last week with the Flintstones..the one tonight would have been better if it was Fred/Wilma or Betty/Barney.. Its quite Amazing how much better American Dad has gotten too.

I think my matchup comes down to the SNF game..I need the Giants to win..

When I say that Gibbs had Shaun Alexander, I said "FUCK!" about 87 times, but even though he had 31 points, Im still beating Gibbs (based on my calculations - too cheap for stat tracker) 86.69-65.23, but Gibbs does have the Giants Defense tonight vs San Diego..but a 20 point spread with just a defense to go, I feel pretty confident that I will be headed to 3-0.. And me going 3-0 in fantasy football is one of the signs of the appocolypse.

I thought Head Cases was actually..um..ok. Not the worst show I've seen..they should have given it more time, but I guess they figured that with Baseball coming up, the low ratings would be even lower when it comes back. Yeehaw. Whats next to get the boot? Criminal Minds got a decent premier last night with almost 20 million people watching but its going to get hammered against Lost. Reunion would have to be my bet though, up against CSI and it only pulled in a little over 5 million viewers, down 1/3rd from 2 weeks ago. FOX's shows are going to get hit hard be being pre-empted by baseball all next month..Im trying to figure out why they would start shows in September when they'll only get to air like 2 or 3 before it goes away for a month.. Everybody Hates Chris just about doubled the ratings for Smackdown last year.. And for everyone that said War at Home wouldn't be around long, it kept most of the lead in From the Simpsons (9.99 to 8.61 million) and it was in the top 20 for shows last week.

Here we got hit by a Cat 3 Hurricane Isabel in 2003 and it did some damage but it was mostly on the outter portion of the eastern shore along the coast, especially on the Bay. My Aunt right across the bay in Calvert County had 3 trees fall on her house and 2 fall on her brand new (at the time) Ford Mustang she bought during her midlife crisis "I wanna be 20 again not 40" moment. I think that we're lucky here because the water cools off a bit this far north and a lot of the storms that come this way hit NC first and lose their punch, sorta like Opheilia did.
