Interestingly, the original Hayter/Tse script has Dan Kill Veidt. While the failed beatdown is something I have mixed feelings about (it came off as trying too hard, yet I thought that it captured Veidt's arrogance rather well-one of the few instances in which that performance didn't bug me) I think it's a better idea than Veidt getting killed off, because in the end he still gets away with it.

I didn't see "Watchmen" making any more than it did, and I wouldn't be suprised if it takes a big dive next week.

Funny, I always saw Veidt as a mix between the all American capitalist entrepreneur and David Bowie.

Well, with the exception of "Frost/Nixon", I can't think of a single television or movie portrayal of Nixon that doesn't come off as cartoonish.

Well again, it's a divisive movie. If anything, it could have been much worse. Hell, look what the studio wanted. Oh, and if you haven't seen it, here's the opening credits montage, which was easily my favorite part of the movie. Say what you will about Snyder, but the man knows how to do great credit montages (Example: the Dawn of the Dead opening credits.)

Very well They've always encouraged me, and though we don't see eye to eye on a lot (parents and kids never do though) we've always been there for one another. My dad was always the funnier of the two though.
