  1. its really odd how they have changed the characters from say, characters, to spoofs of who they once were. How are the Simpsons doing ratings wise anyways? I mean shows with actual characters get crushed (check sig) maybe these cookie cutter characature character shows like Family Guy, Simpsons (current) and Aqua Teen Hunger Force are where the ratings are.
  2. Who in the world WOULD conquer Europe tho??
  3. No one smokes joints even a quarter of the amount that people smoke cigs. That hypocritical son of a BITCH! He's been selling to Canadians this whole time! Actually Mike, I do recall one DC area public hospital doing just that. I'm sure you could say "not many" but it has happened.
  4. What's his environmental policy??
  5. Fatality! Car-tality?
  6. The best is when, after drinking the milk, he starts clinking the bottles.
  7. FIFTEEN YEARS? Watch that hubris, QT...
  8. Does anyone disagree w/ the various solutions I stated? What about this one? Raise the cost of all beers, juices, sodas, and bottled waters by $1 a bottle, as well as six packs and twelve packs. Do away with cans. as soon as you finish a bottle, return it to get your dollar back. It's done in Denmark and they have a 99% return rate for their bottles. Those things get ~33 uses before they have to be recycled. It's because they make plastic bottles that LAST, and are lighter than glass. They're allowed at games because they don't break, and don't get more than a bit scratched. It's better than recycling because the natural order of conservation goes reduce, reuse, recycle. Granted liquid containers are only like 3% of our trash every year, but hey, that's 3% gone, for no net loss of money to anyone. It's good for the environment and so on. *EDIT* It's just like the current five cent return policy in some states now (the cost of the drink is raised a bit so that you can get a bit when you return it) but the amount is negligible. If it were raised to the cost of the soda, you can bet people would return their bottles */EDIT*
  9. Let me say that Genndy T. is a total genius. From what I saw of this series it was pretty good, and I liked the last episode. Grievious standing there with three light sabres was pretty sweet.
  10. Mike no one debunked the SUV-Tractor/Truck comparison. It's absolutely nutty that SUV's should fall in the same emissions catagory as Tractors and like Mac Trucks. Not 18 wheelers but really big trucks like Ambulances and shit. The fact is people DO NOT use them to haul shit in any reasonable capacity. The fact is the H2 has like ZERO cargo space, and the fact is, SUV's are made cheap to sell expensive to huge profits. They skimp on fuel efficency because they're allowed to. CAFE standards exist for a REASON, they can't just be bypassed to make money for certain companies. They're national fucking LAW and when someone can prove to me that people actually use SUV's as light trucks instead of CARS I will actually be very surprised. And yes a Hybrid SUV, Pickup, and Van are coming. No, it doesn't HAVE to decrease power, they just have been to maximize the MPG as a selling point. Yes Oil is the most efficent power source, but not necessarily if you take into account the cost of pollution. And I for one am not advocating a switch to hydrocells or solar power today, it's not feasable. I'm advocating Bush getting on TV, and saying, "Look: this is called insulation. If you pack your house with it, you will save energy every month in the summer and winter. See, these are insulated windows. These are efficent lightbulbs that provide the same lumens for 1/4 the power. I, the president, am subsidizing all these products and more with our tax dollars so that we as a country can use a fraction of the power we use today." Efficency is already profitable, but the initial cost is turning some people away. If it cost less maybe people would actually properly insulate their homes. Maybe that would be as helpful in getting people more money every year, instead of tax breaks?
  11. You think I'd lie about something like that?
  12. BTW I was lied to. Apparently there will be no Home Movies repeats. Instead they plan to bring back ... ... Ripping Friends.
  13. apparently they buy contracts in 4 season chunks. With 52 episodes, one can show an episode each night and only repeat like six times a year. I heard somewhere that thats a good thing. Similarly one can show one episode a week and have no repeats in a year.
  14. yea whos the girl on the right?
  15. Walter: Wow Melissa who does your makeup? Melissa: I do Walter: Well maybe you should get somebody else to...
  16. What are the odds of this being a good match like last week's?
  17. Actually, funny you mention it, Baby Blues IS coming back. But not w/ new episodes. Just the same old ones. If you at all appreciated anything about this show, make sure to catch the other seasons whenever they repeat them. Season four had it's moments, but it was EASILY the weakest season. Still the best show on TV for me tho.
  18. Having just watched the last episode, I really think they ended it quite well. I know a lot of people are begging for new seasons to be picked up, but at this point, well it was a really nice ending. I'm just waiting for the DVD now.
  19. Tonight is indeed the series finale. Cartoon network has this thing about fifty two episodes (four seasons). They have not picked it up for any more seasons. So sad... I don't see them applying these same laws to their precious space ghost.
  20. I guess I was just wondering how far y'all have to go. Many people I know drive a mile or three to work and it's all stop and go. That wastes gas like a mother. So I would recommend to them to get a fucking bike. A good fifteen miles an hour isn't too hard, and parking is a snap. Sure, the rain and cold can be a diversion, but these days when the weather is pleasant enough, a five mile bikeride in twentyfive minutes is far cheaper than the respective drive. But if you're driving twenty miles, forgive my story. I do live in the city.
  21. Well tonight is the last night of Home Movies on [adult swim] or should I say, the last new episode. At 11:00 tonight, the last episode, Focus Grill will air. Thereafter, it will be repeats only at 12:30, it's current space filled by Futurama. It's a sad day where the only subly funny cartoon on TV gets replaced.
  22. Do not underestimate my ability to steal all you're womenfolk! Just call me the pied piper of poontang!! Follow me ladies
  23. Julia Styles appeals to me. Not that I've seen one of her movies in theatres, but... She's very cute.
  24. I guess I'll be Belgium. Corner the global chocolate market, what?
  25. How long does it take you to drive to work?
