I actually JUST beat P3 and started P4 today. How long ago did I start this thread?? In any event... I really really liked the music at the end of P3. The remix of the sad, Dying Man music in the dorms and *especially* the bad ass Town music from New Years onward. Just splended. Kiiiiind of got a Eva-esque vibe from the ending, very Japanese. But, all in all, satisfying. Although what was up with all the focus on Aigis? Maybe FES would explain it better with her being a social character and all. Finally Messiah was QUITE a letdown. Not too surprising since 50% of his learned abilities came from a level 6 Orpheus. Also, I made Thanatos before I really REALLY internalized how critical Growth 2 or 3 is for a persona... So, yeah. Letdown.

Pete and Pete should have been on SNICK, and if it was it should have been on more often. That + My So-Called Life = most nostalgic memories of childhood TV.

Dama, you seem to overanalyze these things. I can remember several "exercise/diet" threads you've done over the years. The only time in my life when I lost signifigant amounts of weight was when I switched from regular soda to diet and biked four miles every day as a commute. Exercise more, eat less excess calories. What I CERTAINLY didn't do was starve myself. You know that when you're only taking in a few calories your body freaks out and slows your metabolism down. An apple is not a sufficent breakfast. That's supposed to be, like, the biggest meal of the day. Also if you're dieting, why eat bacon or sausage? Might as well eat soy sausage or soy bacon, they taste the same anyways, and they're not 20% or more fat.

I always thought the Phalanx box art was pretty cool when I saw its box in the rental section of, like, Blockbuster or GameStop.

I know, thats what I was saying. Although anyone going straight from this from, say, Starcraft will be confused. Company of Heroes would be a good stepping stone. Basically no more base building, period. At least not production buildings. Some characters can build a few turrets. Oh and the Beta is free, until release I guess. So get playing! I've played as the Eldar and the 'Nids. Had more luck with the elves, because those Shuriken platforms were bad ass.

I'm probably pickup up the Beta tonight... Anyone else here interested in this game? RTS without the shit basebuilding! And the original Terrans Space Marines, Zergs Tyrannids, and Protoss Eldar!

But then at least you have infrastructure. What do you have when you cut taxes in this situation? Deficits, or social services. And 1 trillion dollars is a lot of Infrastructure.

If anything this bill was overly partisan. There shouldn't have been ANY tax cuts, IMO. Just give me 850B in infrastructure. Shit. Govt jobs to get people back to work repairing roads, bridges, building the green grid and green energy. But this? Ugh. And still no votes? Fuck all Repubs and fuck giving them anything. They didn't give ANYTHING back. Zero votes.

Oh and not one Repub voted for the stimulus, if you didn't already hear. Bi-partisan indeed. We took out the condom dollars! That's gotta be worth at least one vote...

The collapse at least partially was caused, and is BEING caused, because people aren't buying as much as we expected they would. I'm saying that when we guessed two years ago what our growth would be in the next say five years, we made hires, expansion choices, as a nation. And now that growth has slowed or even reversed, those new hires need to be fired, new expansions closed. But its not that simple, because people got promotions or raises and such, and generally there's going to be more cuts at the bottom than at the top. In other words, reducing America's personal debt is a great thing, but it doesn't help our economy at all. Of course that begs the question: What is / was wrong with our economy?

At least where I live the digital channels had numerous feeds in them. PBS 1 here, "WETA", channel 22, had 22A, 22B, and 22C. Ditto our CBS, channel 9 had 9A, 9B, and 9C.

When we had a brief interlude between having a digital TV and cable, we used the digital rabbit ears. We got like two channels, four if you count the A and C channels (I don't count B because it was always the weather) and yeah. Only like CBS and one PBS. Analog, if it was fuzzy you could still see shit. Digital is not nearly as forgiving.

He's just doing Stupid Bush Tricks so that he can try and get a majority of Repubs to vote with it. Stupid, IMO. We don't need another taxcut, that last one worked SOO WELL

Your desire for us to know about things we couldn't possibly know while discounting ice core samples reminds me of people who don't believe in germs because they're never personally seen them. I don't want this thread to continue down the path of just me insulting the posters who disagree with the possibility of GW, but jeez. Dobbs is exactly right. The science is over, the only sticking point is people who don't want to believe it. Dress it up in whatever other words you want to. Jingus, for instance, just because you don't "see" how it could be or "believe" that it is the way it is doesn't make all the Scientists wrong. It just makes you wrong. I will not mollycoddle you on this. I'm absolutely sick of it.

Not to mention all the people who are in Guantanimo, with no evidence at all against them... I mean really now, thats just sad. I heard of 17 immates who will be released to 17 families in the US. They're from the east Chinese muslim sect I can't remember the name of. They can't go back to China because the Chinese govt hates those guys, and I don't think they've been accused of anything.
