  1. It's all context.
  2. What about Jimi?
  3. Then, thankfully, there are instances where I could call someone a nappy headed fool and not be racist, even though I'm white and they're black. Thank goodness.
  4. So telling someone that they have nappy hair will be and always is a racial slur and not a comment about hair.
  5. But you're not talking about friends, Ripper. You're talking about black vs. white. Quick who has that .gif of that black kid from Katrina? "That's racist!"
  6. Maybe we're just sick of the double standard. No, definitely. You want nigger/nigga? Fine. But I can't say that? Messed up. Please note that I have never ever called anyone a nigger, spic, wop, kike, chink, fag, etc etc. But I am sick and tired of having entire phrases just disallowed to me because I am white, even as my friends and companions say it. It's a freaking lexicon. Besides which, it's an insult. I understand context, and I understand that Imus might be racist. But mightn't I be saying that someone just has a big afro? When you're dissing someone you work with what you can get...
  7. Fine. It just seems like Sharpton is getting more bent out of shape about this than anything else, and should be called out for that as well. Like I said, people have been calling each other nappy-headed forever, and not fighting over it. "It may be nappy, but we'll make it snappy" was a line from a barber on some show, Martin or Living Single or something. Was he being racist?
  8. I'm not saying it's not that racist. I don't even know why I'm saying anything at all. But when I was a kid in school lots of people called other people nappy headed so n so's (bitches, bammas, fools) It's weird to find out that they were being racist. Of course, they were mostly black.
  9. And the reason, or at least one of the reasons, white people get so mad about this is that we are sick of hearing about people talking about reparations and stuff like that. Most white people don't come from people that owned slaves.
  10. It's not like anyone is saying that it wasn't racist. Some people are saying it wasn't THAT racist, and it certainly wasn't as racist as it was masogynist, but yes. You can't refer to black people as having nappy hair because it refers to them as ... having black hair?
  11. The jig's up. It was sarcasm all along, to a point. The point is, many people do think that, people who, instead of a cross, still bear a chip on their shoulder, from 100 years ago.
  12. It's just that easy.
  13. No, you don't. ... [/Reznor] Leena arguments are important...
  14. Now, maybe you can, but it doesn't really count. Remember a few hundred years ago? We were bad

    Sex Education

They should have taught better sex ed. You can't get mouth-herpes in highschool and not just have... the worst social problems ever. That poor girl

    Sex Education

I don't even remember all that stuff, aside from one guy asking, "Why is it that guys get so tired after sex?" and me being faintly jealous of him. 7th grade. Sex ed in highschool? I don't think we did that. It was 5th grade and 7th grade.

    Nooooo!
  18. No way, Deathproof killed Planet Terror, if only relatively.

Where is megaman!? I never played those classics...
  20. And thus two of the main reasons why this will never happen are raised: The painkiller people and the tobacco people (and the alcohol people) have waaaaaaaaaaaaay to big a lobby (let alone a legal lobby) to ever give the opposition a chance. Remember, to outlaw MJ, they had to prove that it was at least as dangerous as machine guns. And they did so!
  21. I took a piss break and missed some of the trailers. May have to see it again. I can't see what's not to like with this flick, really. Deathproof was better because I honestly didn't know what was going to happen during the initial carchase.
  22. You are ridiculous.
