  1. Zaza Pachulia is good. He's one of the Hawks best players.
  2. He was. No one has done more to prevent a union from forming than Hulk Hogan.
  3. ??... that's perplexing.
  4. What painful event happened at KOTR 99? The horrible Austin ladder match?
  5. The WWE has done a good job of making it clear that they don't allow recreational steroid use, but they can do nothing about those with presciptions. However, I question the legitimacy of many of these prescriptions.
  6. Well I don't like Rome, but I would have to agree with that statement. There is no way the WWE knows for sure that steroids didn't play some role. They are trying to cover their ass right now, as they should.
  7. HGH is Human Growth Hormone. It is not a steroid, but often gets lumped in with steroids by the general media because many people use them as PEDs. I missed Rome today. What did he say about Benoit that got you so mad?
  8. Benoit drinking at the time of his suicide is probably the least shocking thing that has come out.
  9. I heard some idiots on ESPN Radio the other day saying how weird it was that Craig Biggio was about to get 3,000 hits. Why did they think it was weird, you ask... because they said that we might have to consider him for the Hall of Fame now because of the accomplishment. Supposedly without the hits his name would never be associated with that sort of greatness. To that I say... in what sort of crazed, drug-induced alternate reality is Biggio not an absolute lock, first ballot Hall-of-Famer?
  10. But according to the story we heard at the time, Benoit already did the squats everyday as part of his workout. He was acclimated to the workout. Daivari was so destroyed physically that he was pissing out the liquified remains of his leg muscles. I don't care what he did to Michaels, that's sort of sadistic. Look, at this point, we have no idea why Benoit did this or what his state of mind was. The natural reaction is to try and explain the causes and delve into his psyche. I've been quilty of it in this thread. But frankly, we cannot just pin these murders on the death of Eddie and his abuse of steroids. Many people lose loved ones everday. Tons of people use steroids. Very few go on a murderous rampage where they choke out their wife with a cable chord and then use pro wrestling chokeholds to strangle their retarded son. There has to be some fault assigned to the perpetrator.
  11. Phoenix would essentially give themselves a one to two-year window to win it all. At that point, Nash, Marion and Garnett could all conceivable be free agents and the team would be back to square one.
  12. Exactly. Just because we saw him on tv every week doesn't mean we know anything about his personal life or his demons.
  13. It just gets worse and worse. A real man drinks beer.
  14. I think you are confusing the cap with the payment of contracts. If the player retires, insurance usually pays off the contract or a large portion of it. If the player sticks around on the injured list, the team still has to pay him in full. Cap is not affected either way or at least that's my interpretation of it.
  15. I do think people are in denial when they say they don't think there is anyway Benoit could do this. Nobody here knows him or anything about his state of mind. Blaming it on Eddie's death or steroids seems really short-sighted. These were two brutal murders. It's obvious that he wasn't emotionally stable anymore, but to not be able to allow yourself to believe that he could be a cold-blooded killer because he was a good wrestler is ludicrous.
  16. Denial... it ain't a river in Egypt.
  17. Are you sure that retired players come off the cap? I don't remember that ever being the case. I remember the Pacers using the amnesty clause on the already retired Reggie Miller to avoid a luxury tax hit.
  18. That would be great if the Hawks somehow fell ass backwards into Amare Stoudemire.
  19. It doesn't say steroids were involved. It says they are investigating the role steroids may have played.
  20. Saying that he had a prescription is a paper thin excuse. There is no reason that he should be on anabolic steroids for a neck injury that occurred more than 5 years ago. Him, his doctor and the on-line company are all crooked and they are going to pay for it. I believe that the WWE Wellness policy excuses wrestlers who have a prescription. That is going to come under intense scrutiny because everyone knows its a loophole.
  21. Uh no... I posted this because if Benoit was getting steroids from this company and it played a role in the murders, the investigation is going to increase. And if Benoit was getting steroids from them, my guess would be a large part of the roster was as well. It could lead to an entirely new steroids investigation that blows away the one from 1994.
  22. "Heaven needed a vanilla midget" ??
  23. For anyone who missed this angle when it happened, it was fantastic.
