Junior Seau could come out of retirement to play for the Pats... http://www.signonsandiego.com/sports/charg...2-bn17seau.html

While I'll admit I'm ignorant to Midwest rap, as opposed to all the other reigons, I stand by my list. I have heard underground rap from the Minnesota, like Atmosphere, Eyedea, P.O.S and other Rhymeslayer talent, and while I think they have great talent, they haven't really put out an album that I would put in my Top 10. Kanye West IMO is overrated as a rapper but is among the best producers. I don't really listen to Kanye rap as I do to listen to his beats. College Dropout and Late Registeration were both solid CD's IMO, but not in my personal Top 10.

Seriously, stop being a sheep and following everyone else on the forum, your not funny. I'm trying to start discussion and your just flaming like a clown. Go outside and play or somthing kid, instead of starting e-beef.

Ain't going to put explainations in this. Too lazy and high right now. 1. Common - Resurrection 2. Eminem - The Slim Shady LP 3. Bone Thugz and Harmony - E 1999 Eternal 4. Common - Can I Borrow a Dollar? 5. Royce Da 59 - Death is Certain 6. Eminem - The Eminem Show 7. Bone Thugs and Harmony - The Art of War 8. Twista - Adrenaline Rush 9. Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP 10. Common - Be Missing the Cut: Nelly - Country Grammar(I know I'm going to catch flack for this, but it was a hot album. The rest of Nelly's CDs have sucked, but this was much different then their other CD's. Hot production and alot of bangers).

I don't see how you can say Master P was bounce rap. P was a gangsta rapper for almost, 80% of the time. If anything Mystikal was a bounce rapper, and he start bounce rap through him. My point is that Master P may have been the 1st big thing to come, the point I'm trying to prove is that Cash Money would've blown regardless of No Limit. Mannie Fresh came with innovative style of beats that was original. Hell fucking Juvenile's "Soulja Rags" CD was GOLD as an underground CD. They were on the come up around the same time P exploded. 400 Degreez had just as much impact in south rap as Ghetto D, and Back That Thang Up was a bigger hit than any one of P's singles. Real talk. All Master P did was help ruin rap because he paved the way for all the crap simple rap music that comes from the south nowadays, like Young Dro, Young Joc, Mike Jones and all that crap. Only to mindless fucks. Even then 400 Degreez sold as much as P's best selling album, and Cash Money sold just as much if not more albums then No Limit. NOTE: I'm going to be starting with My Top 10 MidWest CD's soon.

Wouldn't know about MTV, but I remember Outkast was getting regular spins by Muchmusic.

I would, but traveling to Nebraska is out of my way. Well it's stupid generalization... White people started to get into Rap in the early 90's. Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer, Kris Kross and all that crap. Rap has become more popular then it has back then I agree, but white people were starting to get into in that era. But I guess it was only black people was copping MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice right?? I only made the statement because he brought up the point that "only black people was coppin Southernplayalistic, which is lame. I understand Lushus might not have been fully serious, but still there are more white people that buy music then black people, and if your going to have a platinum album, the majority of the people buying it are going to be white. There's no statistic evidence to back this up, it's just common sense. Using that logic, Kriss Kross paved the way for all Southern rappers. Because they blew up 1st and was the 1st Southern rapper to have a #1 hit.
-
Stop with your childish insults... If your going to make a dumb statement like 1,000,000 black people bought Southernplayalistc, when you should have the evidence to back it up. White people buy more music then Black people it's a fact. G-Unit is the most popular thing in rap right now, and it's mostly because of white wigga kids. How many black people do you see rockin G-Unit clothling and how many white kids you see rockin G-Unit? Because I travel alot, and I see alot more white kids rocking G-Unit stuff then I do black people. I'll even state that more white people bought Southernplayalistic then black people. I'm not taking anything away from Master P and his impact on helping South hit mainstream. I'm just saying he's not all responsible. Cash Money was on come up and they were going to explode no matter if Master P made it or not. They don't even really have the same style, as Juve's, Weezy's, B.G.'s and Turk's flows and rapping style are much different then P's. When Cash Money came out, it was original. Mannie Fresh's beats were out of this world. And all I was saying about P was that he didn't help expose the South to the mainstream all by himself. Scarface, Getto Boys, Outkast, even Jermaine Dupri all had roles in it as well.

They were nominated for a Grammy for Rosa Parks. Even back then I didn't really know that many black people who listened to Outkast, it was mostly white people. Either way, Outkast played a big part in the mid 90's. They had over 5 million records sold in the mid 90's.
-
Who's to say only black people were checking for Outkast in the mid 90's? We don't have the statisical evidence to prove that. Rosa Parks, Elevators, and Playas Ball was getting alot of radio spins. You can't get double platinum with just black people buying it. Plus, Outkast from my experences, appeal to white folks more then they do black folks.
-
Outkast blew up in the late 90's. Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik went platinum, ATLiens went double platinum, and Aquemini went double platinum. UGK's best selling album was in 96.

I hope Seth Green returns before the season ends. -
He had a big part in it yes, but it wasn't all him. Outkast/Goodie Mob, Getto Boys, UGK, and Cash Money all played a big role in it aswell.
-
Hell I bet an 80 year old Holyfield would give Valuev a tough fight. He's trash.
-
It's my pesonal list. Deal with it. And it didn't make Cash Money blow up, they would've blown up regardless. Mannie Fresh is a Top 10 producer of all time IMO, and his beats where very new and innovative. 400 Degreez shits on Ghetto D, Cash Money shits on No Limit, Any rapper that was on Cash Money shits on Master P.
-
Apparently TJ Duckett is going to be a Jet.
-
Nope. I can't stand Master P. Good CD though.

Some more ghostwriting myths: T.I., Styles, Jadakiss, J-Kwon, Da Brat, Jermaine Dupri all wrote for Bow Wow Rick Ross and Remy Ma writes for Fat Joe currently(In an old interview with Cuban Linx, before Rick Ross was ever famous, he said that a rapper from Miami name Rick Ross is writing for Fat Joe) Rick Ross supposely writes for Trick Daddy, but I doubt it's true. Rick Ross wrote for alot of people. Lil Wayne has wrote for Trina, Baby, Dre(Cool and Dre), Diddy, etc. Jay Z wrote for Foxy early in her career.
-
Fuck, I forgot Aquemeni, looks like I'm going to have to edit. Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik and ATLiens are suprior to Aquemeni, in my opinion, but everyone's opinion differs, everyones list is different, you can not make the perfect list. I haven't heard the Getto Boy's debut album though, I've been trying to find it for ages.
-
Actually Dre never had ghostwriters, because he gave all his writers credit. You can even see him give Jay Z credit for writing those 2 hits for him in the Chronic 2001 booklet. Where it says S. Carter in the credits. Ghostwriter means not giving anyone credit taking what someone written for you and claiming it's your own work. But ghostwriters make alot of money. Just ask Mad Skillz. Some of Puffy's ghostwriters included: Biggie, The LOX, Black Rob, Mad Skillz, Sauce Money, Eminem, Mase, Loon, Smitty, Common etc. Diddy knows how to pick his ghostwriters. Supposely Royce Da 59, Talib Kweli among others wrote some songs for him on his new cd. Another interesting ghostwriting facts... Nas ghostwrote Will Smith's smash hit Miami and Gettin Jiggy with It, and wrote all of Foxy's verses while in the Firm(wasn't hard to tell). Biggie, Cam'Ron and Jadakiss all ghostwrote for Lil Kim I don't know if it's 100% true but apparently Jada wrote for Eve aswell. Common wrote some tracks on Willenium.
