According to the NY Daily News, Tom Glavine is leaning towards returning to the Braves.

According to metsblog and Mets inside pitch, Carlos Delgado may request a trade in the off season. It's not a guarentee Tom Glavine is coming back. Steve Trachsel is gone. Valentin is likely gone. Cliff Floyd wants to come back and may take a "Frank Thomas like" contract. The Mets are going to heavily pursue Barry Zito (duh). These sources are usually 100% right so it could be an interesting off season.

Why do I have the feeling that Yankee fans are going to be clamoring for Cashman to sign Jeff Suppan now?

Very disappointing but the fact of the matter is the Cardinals played better than the Mets in this series (not by much but it was noticeable). The Mets simply didn't hit. I don't think it was lack of "clutch" hitting but The Cardinals pitchers simply pounding the outside corners and really throwing nothing over the middle of plate. As far as offseason moves, they will probably over pay for Barry Zito and well that is about it. They will probably let Floyd walk so they might pick up a mid-level outfielder as I don't see them handing the job to Milledge. And I don't see them signing Soriano. And as Bored mentioned in his blog last week one of the worst parts about dealing with your team losing is to hear the talking heads lambast your team for having no heart and other non-sense. No sports talk for me for the next few days (fuck Chris Russo and Francessa) I will probably still watch the series.
