There goes Enigma posting news that has already been shared again... -
Brody via tap out round 1

Was it ever explained why Knox was attacking Rey outside of when he said "No particular reason"? I hope not. That's what I would do if I was a wrestler and could beat people up legally - I'd fuck with people just for the sake of fucking with them. "Oh look, here comes Chris Jericho!" *Hides behind the corner with a chair ready to nail him*

The US Economy and Current Financial Crisis

Is the job market for top level executives so large that the CEO's in charge of a bankrupt company can easily find a job with another company? -
Hey, TheFranchise, can I have your telephone number?

Better be a video of the fight as well.

Can't you stick your webcam on a book or something to get your head in the shot?

Does Rourke Being at WM Cheapen "The Wrestler"?
Twisted Intestine replied to zappafrank's topic in The WWE Folder
Why doesn't the audience want to see Rourke in a match? For all we know he could be a good worker! I think there's no way the match will suck, and Jericho will carry him to a good match. That's why I'm happy it will be against Jericho, I wouldn't want to see him against someone who wouldn't be able to get a good match out of him. It will probably end up being some sort of no DQ match, and Rourke will take a couple of nice bumps. -
I remember the intro being much scarier than the actual show ever was.

I'm expecting Rourke to have a **** match with Jericho and become a part of the permanent roster. -
Does Rourke Being at WM Cheapen "The Wrestler"?
Twisted Intestine replied to zappafrank's topic in The WWE Folder
What if they started the angle by saying "Wrestling legend The Ram is coming to the WWE!", and then Rourke came in in character and they sold him as being an old wrestling legend? The kids wouldn't know the difference. Then everything would be in kyfabe for you guys, and "The Wrestler" could be looked at as a documentary on the guy as other wrestling docs have shown wrestling to be fake as well. -

Another thing is that many actors venture into different outlets such as theatre etc. Wrestling is obviously something that Rourke has become interested in and I don't think there's anything wrong with him wanting to act at the biggest wrestling show since he was given the chance. Money is obviously a motivation as well, but it must be something he wants to do as well. -

It has nothing to do with the movie (well it does, but it doesn't make the movie itself anything less), and if he can't win an oscar because of it then it's bullshit that oscars are handed out to people based on their life instead of based on the role they played which should be the only thing looked at. The only real question there should be is, would a Rourke vs Jericho feud interest and entertain me? For me, it would. -
Why do I have to be on the shitty cold corner of the triangle?

I'm so full of rage -
You guys are making a bigger deal out of this than it is. Who cares? Shane came back and had momentum on his side and was unstopable because his father got hurt. In a world where we can believe that somebody can "finish" someone with a certain move, we can believe that when somebody has motivation they can gain the momentum to be superman. If they continue to make Shane look like God over the legacy then I'll complain.

WWE General Discussion - January 2009
Twisted Intestine replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
I can't find where the original post was about WWE.com putting up the review on The Wrestler or Vince wanting him for WM, but I saw Kamala mention it in "The Wrestler" folder and it prompted me to ask this question. (I thought here would be a more appropriate place.) Vince changed his mind on the movie, or the internets were wrong about his initial reaction? All I ever saw was the one report saying he was furious, but no details ever about why or who he told, so I'm thinking maybe that report was bull. Not that it would surprise me if he did change his opinion on it once it got oscar nominated either.
