Basically, LiveWire was trying to be a show where fans can ask "behind the scenes" questions. However, anytime someone really started to ask smarkish questions Vince and company would cut the person off. It was silly because the show's intention didn't happen. It started off supposedly as a shoot show then turned to worked shoot then just turned into WWE Experience. I don't know how the wwe would also plan on doing things on the fly without wrecking storylines. I smell LiveWire all over this and they are going to use this angle to persuade people to buy this ppv on Tuesday instead of giving away a money match. Um, he knows what Livewire was. Do you know who 'Bruce from Connecticut' was? Because if you did, that would explain why cawthon777 equated it with 'great TV.'

I think that's the ONE thing that could hold this back from being a megahit like FvsJ was; most people haven't seen Evil Dead or know what Bruce Campbell looks like.

My God, if they played that live that would be SICK. They haven't done that one live in at least 10 years.

If you want to see QUALITY backyard wrestling (that is actual WRESTLING), then go here. This tournament casts the whole backyard wrestling community in a bad light.

This is a bad idea for several reasons. 1. I assume that this company is looking for KOTDM-style bouts, not actual backyard wrestling (where people actually try to WRESTLE). There is a significant difference, though the two styles are both lumped together as 'backyard wrestling.' This contest (and this company) are perpetuating the stereotype of backyard wrestling as bloodsport, not as spectacle. 2. Also, a lot of backyard wrestlers don't wrestle in the hopes of going pro; they do it for fun. Most backyard wrestlers who don't have a pro-quality ring know they have little chance of making it to the big time. And I don't think anyone thinks that wrestling Supreme in ONE MATCH an LA indy is 'the big time.' 3. Also, this 'tournament' will supposedly happen after SIX BYK tapes have been made, so that pushes it back to late '05/early '06 at the EARLIEST.

A nationwide tournament? 10 copies for everyone on the DVDs? I am skeptical that those things will come together.
