  1. I'd actually use Bernie. He's more patient, and Wilson strikes out 50% of the time and I can so picture him K'ing on a Papelbon splitter.
  2. Melky, Bernie or Wilson PH for Green, and Damon in the 9th. Yankees, I don't even care if you lose, just do it in extra innings so I don't have to listen to the media proclaming Papelbon as the god and the savior of the Sox lifting them from the depths of hell to beat the Yankees tonight.
  3. Fuck you A-Rod, you just had to walk that led to the Cano and Posada strike outs!
  4. FUCK. JUST MAKE FUCKING CONTACT.
  5. How did that not get out?!?!?! A-Rod, you better fucking get this run in.
  6. You'd think Francona woulda learned from the Yankees that journeymen/minor league "supposed" LOOGYs never ever work
  7. Beating Papelbon would be so much more enjoyable than any of the first three games.
  8. WHY IS RON VILLONE STILL PITCHING!?!? I honestly think his arm is going to fall off.
  9. Who didn't see that coming?
  10. I'm very happy. I'm not expecting a win tonight, and I totally expected some mysterious Mussina injury after he came back after the delay. I'll be esatic even if they lose the next two games. All I ask is one Yankee pitcher put Ortiz on his ass just once so he isn't so damn comfortable in the batters box.
  11. Why don't they just try knocking him on his ass JUST once.
  12. Hes saved us atleast two possible run costing A-Rod errors tonight, so he breaks even.
  13. Is it me or has the umpiring for all three games, for both teams, been absolutley batter friendly? It seems like every pitcher who goes out there gets squeezed a ridiculous amount.
  14. Why can't we get Manny out? Jesus it seems like hes batting .1000 this series.
  15. Or we could just do to Schilling what we've done to everybody else who pitches on the Red Sox. That was killed.
  16. Eh whatever. I'm not expecting much from tonight, but Schilling's already at 42 pitches, plus the delay, so I don't expect anything amazing from him.
  17. I definitley wouldn't mind an extended rain delay with Schilling on the mound. edit: Booya! It'd be pretty damn funny if Schilling can't come back out.
  18. Just got back from Boston, and I was there for games 1, 2 and 3. It was just an absolute slaughtering, and from sitting in the bleachers for all three games, Sox fans were just in like an awe of how bad the pitching was. Beckett got shit on ALOT by Sox fans, they were really pissed off at his performance. They all really shit on Crisp a lot, as they saw Damon go 9-18 in the series and just weren't happy at all. One thing I noticed is that Sox fans defintley aren't as rowdy as they used to be. I went to a game in April in 04 at Fenway and I just got screamed at a ton by Sox fans for beig a yankee fan. For the most part, Sox fans were really calm and just not angry, haha, this time around. I also haven't seen a Yankee team hit like this isn the 04 ALCS, so I'm expecting Ortiz walk offs tonight and tomorrow.
  19. HAHAHA Gary Thorne. "THREE RUNS WILL SCORE!!! OH WAIT NO ONLY TWO!"
  20. He's at 88 ABs right now. If he shoud get ROTY consideration, Shane Spencer should have had the thing WRAPPED up with his amazing run after his call up in 98. Theres just no way with all the other choices out there.
  21. haha it actually is two crappy plays a night for A-Rod at this point. The error that led to a run and the popup. Nice Cano! Sox about to lose so hopefully the lead goes up to three games after tonight.
  22. popup? How about an absolute lazer that was hit so hard Mora had to come out the game. Jesus christ, 2 outs and with a base open, YOU DON'T FUCKING PITCH TO ORTIZ. I don't care if Manny's next, YOU DON'T FUCKING PITCH TO ORTIZ. Grr.
  23. Watch a freaking catch by Polanco. Unfortunatley it looks like he just blew out his arm. Alright, I'm calling an A-Rod GS. edit: That'll do.
  24. E-Rod strikes again. His errors always seem to come at the worst times too.
  25. 1st and 3rd one out in the 5th, 1st and 3rd no outs in the 6th and both innings the Tigers don't score. Ugh. Bedard shutting down the Yanks so far. edit: Third times a charm.
