I like Cream of Mushroom soup by itself. I could eat it for lunch every day and never get tired of it.

The Flames beat Montreal 3-2 at home. The score was flattering to the Canadiens, as they essentially did nothing of note after Koivu's goal in the first.

WWE drops one talentless hoss, gains another...
Dogbert replied to The Czech Republic's topic in The WWE Folder
I'm not gonna piss on this guy this early. He's got the wrestling/martial arts background, so it shouldn't take him too long to adjust to pro-wrestling. If the WWE makes him do the generic big-guy stuff and cuts him off from actually doing what he knows how to do, though, it'll flop like a fish. -

Don't laugh too hard there. He's getting promoted.
-
I dunno about that. He went on a huge hot streak right after Therrien was brought up to coach the team.
-
Therrien is kind of like the Sutters in a way. He wants his teams to buy into his system and leave it all on the ice every night; the only difference is that Therrien has a MUCH shorter fuse. He will explode if he doesn't like what he sees, and frankly, I can't blame him now.

Essentially, it's reviled because of yours. The CPC is oft-mentioned in the same breath as the Republicans in the States; people are afraid that the Tories would turn Canada into what we're seeing politically down south.

Every time Martin tries to attack Harper, one of the leaders flings his attack back in his face and shows that what he's saying tonight is the opposite of what he's said and done in the past. It's a gong-show out there.
-
Martin's getting hammered out there.

My 2005 was okay. Graduated from high school and moved to Ottawa. Nothing major happened, other than that. 2004 was the best year I've had, and 2003 was the worst.
-
It's now 37-29 for the Conservatives. Hopefully, Harper can show well in the debates tonight, as I'm sure everyone will be attacking Martin.

Yes, the Flames' PK dropped the ball. The point is that the calls should never have been made in the first place. My issue with the OT call was that a Canuck player did the exact same thing to Iginla right after the call was made, and the referee chose not to call it. I don't think that can happen by accident. As for the calls on Bertuzzi, the Canucks scored 15-20 seconds after the goal was negated on the exact same play, so it didn't make a difference in the game; neither did the penalty, because the Flames did nothing on the powerplay. The botched calls on Calgary late in the game not only made a big difference in the game, but also most likely determined who won the game.

Batista must have really bad hands. He can't catch a break.

As bad as the Raptors are, they're only 3 games behind Chicago for the eighth and final playoff spot. Stranger things have happened...

Benoit's second place on Smackdown.

And yet they still got run out of Boston by the Bruins. Hmm... who's the one-hit wonder from the 2004 Finals again?

The Flames lead 3-1. A Canuck guy skates right past Rhett Warrener. There is no contact... Warrener goes for "cross-checking." Anson Carter scores on the powerplay. 3-2. With 2:00 left, Kristian Huselius goes into the corner of the Canucks zone and steals the puck, despite being held by a Canuck defenseman. Holding the stick on Huselius. The Canuck-homer team of Hughson and Millen couldn't even find it. Bertuzzi trips over his own stick 30 seconds later. Regehr goes off for tripping. 6-on-3 for Vancouver, and Sami Salo scores. 3-3. The Flames kill the second penalty in OT. Seconds later, Bertuzzi tries to rush through the Flames' defense and falls down. Two for tripping on Leopold. Iginla gets the puck off the faceoff and tries the same thing. The Canuck guy grabs Iggy's jersey and water-skis him from the blueline to the faceoff circle... no call. The Canucks rush up-ice and score. 4-3 Canucks. A screwjob that would make Vince proud.

The Flames lose 4-3 in overtime to the Vancouver Fucking Cheaters in what was the most blatant screwjob I have ever seen in all my years of watching this fucking sport. Fucking unbelievable calls (and non-calls) by the refs in the last 10 minutes decide it. Fucking bullshit. If nobody gets fired for this, I'm going to seriously reconsider watching this fucking farce ever again.

Yeah, I don't wanna see Marchment in the red again. I figured he'd do as a #7 guy at the league minimum, but Regehr v.2 has played better than Marchment at the same salary.
-
The Flames pass the halfway point with a 1-0 win over Toronto in the Saddle. They finish the first half of the season at 25-12-4, good for first in the Northwest and third in the West.

The Flames have looked awful ever since Stephane Yelle got injured. I hope for our sake that he's back on Friday in Vancouver.
