I'm pretty positive Rey would have won the title eventually, regardless of Angle's various injuries. If not this year, next for sure...I'm certain, however, Eddie's death accelerated those plans...knowing Vince, he was probably thanking his lucky stars Eddie died since it provided such a "great inspirational story" for Rey...of course they managed to fuck THAT up. As far as the entrances go...they were bad...but I did like how Lillian introduced them AFTER they made it to the ring and even rattled off their various nicknames...had a cool, old school feel to it.

yeah, this was a middle of the road kind of Wrestlemania, not the best and not the worst. The women's title match was on pace to be the MOTN but dropped horribly with that botched up finish...you just can't fuck up in a title match at WM...you just can't. Rey getting booed was nuts, but oddly enough, he got the fans back once he finally won...color me underwhelmed with that short match, but the visual of Rey with Big Goldie is great! He'll job it to Orton shortly, unfortunantly. I loved the double German Suplex spot with Rey almost getting flung out of the ring...too bad Rey also fucked up a WM spot. That heat in the Cena/HHH match was unreal...I'd say Cena's heat rivals Austin's heat at Canadian Stampede...seriously, we were in awe with how bad he was getting it. EVERYTHING he did was booed, every single thing...it was amazing. The match itself wasn't that great, but with that crowd, you couldn't help but be glued to it. It was kind of cool seeing both HBK and HHH do the DX Crotch Chops.

Shawn's best moments were late 94 thru WM11 (early 95) and from late 1997 (post Summerslam 97 along with a few spots here and there in earlier 97) through his "retirement" at WM14 (early 98)...honorable mention for his heel work last summer with Hogan...if we're going to see that again, I'm all for it. I wonder how God feels about crotch chops and telling people to "suck it"?
