WWE General Discussion - October 2007
Black Lushus replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
oh god. That's all you have? here's the one thing I'll say about the WWF. They took those elements and actually made it look good, whereas ECW's stuff always came off as huge trainwrecks featuring massive overbooking, little psychology and often times uninteresting characters. Now that's just my opinion, I'm sure others disagree with me. It's hard to go back and watch old ECW stuff on 24/7. -
Review: WCW Monday Nitro, 3/31/97, from Roanoke, Virginia.

King, thank you for suffering so that the rest of us don't have to! -

wait about 2 years and you'll start seeing them all on 24/7. -
I'll be there!

If I'm not mistaken, did Jericho not debut in 1999 the Raw before Summerslam that year...? EDIT: No, it was about two weeks before Summerslam

Is ECW about to end as we know it? (ECW renewed)

they don't need competition, they just need to fix their product. -
speaking of that type of music, ANY song by Papa Roach. Oh and that one from Good Charlotte. How can either of those band still exist?
-
I heard that mentioned once, in fact wasn't someone trying to sue her over it?
-
Does anyone remember around which time Faarooq disbands the NOD and starts fresh with D'Lo Brown? When does Kama Mustafa come along? When does Ahmed turn heel and join them? When is The Rock reborn? I know it was around the summer of 97, I just can't recall the exact situations.

Tae Kwon Do and basic Karate don't count. And old school UFC was nothing more then a bar fight in a cage on PPV. who did tae kwon do and basic karate? you?
-
what was the plan?

See I missed that PPV, the last I remember seeing Sid in the WWF was when Austin was on the stage ready to face off against the Hart Foundation and as his music played, Sid, HBK and the Patriot came out to join him. Then they all did random interviews throughout the night, but there was no match. That would have been a fun 4 on 4 (meaning one of the Harts would have to sit it out) for IYH: Canadian Stampede for something.
-
I'd have to look it up, but I think Sid bailed like a week or so before the PPV and they changed it to Bret/Austin.
-
God I loved the Austin/Bret feud! They did such a great job conveying hate to each other.
-
I still love ya, DocV!

haha man I understand MMA, I used to watch it all the time, I still do occassionally.
-
how is calling MMA boring an "ignorant" blanket statement? It's a matter of opinion, it's not up for debate. YOU like it, I don't, plain and simple. You're right wrestling can be and currently is very boring, which you've surely seen us all say over and over again over the course of the past few months.

well are we going by album release or when the single actually first hit the radio?
-
I think that was WM22...I'm pretty sure I saw the head shot photos that lined the top of the arena.

kids, man...they wreck a woman's body. -
ODB had an album called Nigga Please but he got scared and spelled it N*gga
-
"It only took 8 years..." Well SF3 came out almost 7 years after 2 so does that surprise you?
-
In 1993, 2Pac had an album called Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z. so it's not a first or anything.
-
because kids commit suicide because of they music they listen to, you see... yeah

One can only hope. I mean, if you're not going to do it correctly, don't do it at all.
