Vote Passes recommending Libs resign
CanadianGuitarist replied to Kahran Ramsus's topic in Current Events
Where'd you get that from? National Post? Global? True dat. I'm sure the editors of the Calgary Sun will have plenty to say. We have no need for an election yet. -
And Red Baron's a Seahawks fan! But he's not very good at Jeopardy!

Who overachieved the most? I'm expecting about 200 responses of JBL, but who else? Did Billy Gunn really deserve 7 Tag Title Runs and a King of The Ring? Considering Bret, Owen, HHH, Austin, Angle and Lesnar are all KOTR champs, I say no. On that note, add Viscera/Mabel. No business any higher than upper midcard. And from a booking standpoint, I mark out for monster heels. I'm also fully aware I mis spelled overachievers in the topic.

For no reason whatsoever? I cant explain why, but I've always loved the Sutters. Still can't explain why I hate Derian Hatcher.

Lindros Trade Hextall, Forsberg, Ricci, Simon, Huffman, and two first rounders who turned out to be Thibault, and the second first rounder was shuffled around to become Nolan Baumgartner.
-
Forsberg had been drafted already by Philly. Ah yes. So who'd the draft turn out to be?
-
Push than title. See Benoit last April to illustrate that point. JBL is the exception to this rule.

Dreamer, Storm, RVD, Awesome, and they have Bischoff and Shane-O-Mac headline in the summer of 2003....crazy. Credible IN ECW is debatable. Credible in WWF/E is not. Huge waste there. Though I still am a huge mark for Aldo Montoya.
-
But he got drafted behind Olajuwan and Bowie. Maybe he greatly surpassed the hype with that little tidbit.
-
A pick who turned out to be Forsberg, Simon, Duchesne, Hextall and 15 million for Lindros? Um...wrong team. A few. WTF was Mario Trembly thinking when Roy was left out to dry. WTF was Montreal on when they give away Roy. I know all the players I mentioned didn't play for Calgary. It was also a WTF trade on par with Calgary and Toronto in 1992.

Ismail did dominate the CFL in the early 90's to be fair. Lindros and Daigle immediatly spring to mind.

He's easily the most charismatic, and I'd say the most trustworthy. Harper's a robot, has no business whatsoever running the country. Nope. They're going on the same platform last time. And it didn't work. We'll see another liberal minority. AND! There's no need for an election. It seems to me we, oh, JUST HAD ONE 11 MONTHS AGO! Martin's had no time to run the country. Let's see how he runs the show before we call for his head. If he drops the ball, then have an election. We spent a couple hunderd million last June 28, don't need to again now. 40-60 in 1980 with the most charismatic leader in Canadian history(behind Trudeau) at the helm of the Oui vote. 49.4 to 50.6 in 1995. God help us, Quebecers loved Bouchard. No one likes Landry. They're not going anywhere. -
And a hypocrite. "No one needs much money. Let's share the wealth. But fuck you if you get my songs off Kazaa!"

Major League 2 was among history's worst sports movies.

It's all about the catchy bad dancing. On that note, Get Busy by Sean Paul...although there's memories tied to it(good ones) and at our watering hole, it's jukebox number is an old bank code number and currently in my XBOX gamer tag. Crazy Town-Butterfly I was just debating aloud to myself with which I should be more ashamed of: Workin for the Weekend by Loverboy, or Makin My Dreams Come True by Hall and Oates. Adding to my woes is Loverboy always reminds me of Chris Farley dancing in a thong.

I call it Oasis syndrome. I tend to like their songs but overall cant listen to them because the members are such asses. Obviously, Oasis, but Limp Bizkit and the Smashing Pumpkins also rank high up there. And I know a lot of people who would say Soundgarden/Audioslave. By the way, though Can't Change Me was a good tune, his solo album may have been the worst CD ever.

Wrestlers Who Should Have Held A Belt In a Company

I think the Foley thing got really screwed up by Schivaone on Nitro, but you're right. And you're certainly right about Kane. -
Not really. I mean, I just don't see it as any sort of competition between countries. Well, I've never seen it as a competition either, but Mike Weir winning the 2003 Masters was obviously a big deal because he did something illustrious and is Canadian. I'm waiting for the "no, because canada sucks" post. Please bite your tongue.

Tecnhically ball hockey, but we get way more intense for the one or two games of baseball we play a summer.

A guy my brother works with says it was one of the top 5 moments in Canadian sport. It doesn't make my general top 10, but it is my number 8 in exclusively Canadian moments. To Yanks on this board, does a Yankee winning an NHL award make you feel more pride as an American?
-
People think Gene Snitsky killed Kane's baby.

I disagree until he hits more fairways...any other year he won't get away with missing that many at Augusta, and he sure as hell won't last at a U.S. Open, or a PGA with the way they're revamping. PREDICTION: Tiger's cut streak will end at Pinehurst. He will, however, win at St. Andrews to seal POY honours, despite a combine 11 wins this year from Singh and Mickelson.(six for Vijay including the PGA, five for Phil including the US) Kind of cheating, but 184 points in a losing effort will never be touched.

I thought I was sincere....now I'm not sure.

That pun doesn't get used near often enough.
