Uh-oh. Getting worse. Fortunately for me, CBC, TSN and Sportsnet still have deals. This is bad, but not awful, it's not like ESPN is the only network in the States.

Ever see the skit the week following 9-11 with people's lives that had changed indirectly from 9-11? The only two I remember were two guys who lost a lot of business: Al Gezera's Quality Used Cars. And a guy named Old Sammy who made ladles and bins for industrial waste. Old Sammy's Bin Ladles took a huge hit after 9-11. Tell me more about Duggan, please.

I'll second that.

I'd gamble as to say every Summer Olympic Event.

Sox just took a 2-0 lead in the top of 5, Varitek with a 2 run dinger off Big Unit. 7-1 Twins in the bottom 5? Jays won the same pitching matchup last week 10-3. The fuck?
-
Debatable. The Sox yes, the Yankees no. The Yankees, I fear, are back on track, and weren't so much incosistent as they were sloppy for the first 4 weeks. As for the Jays/O's comparison, that could go either way. All time Jays record may be better, but 2-4 against the Birds this year, including a 3 game sweep, worry me.
-
He's right. Can argue with him, but not the facts. Until they get usurped, the O's are the team to beat, and I'd say they do look the most complete in the A.L East. I'd also offer that it's not just a two team, but a four team race in the East. The Jays look for real. I said it earlier, though, and I will now. The series in The Bronx this weekend will determine the fate of the two teams throught the rest of the season. I'm calling a 2-1 Sox Series win.
-
Too late to really start a May 24-30, I feel. Couple good ones this weekend. Boston in the Bronx for a 3 game set, Pale Hosers against the Walker Texas Rangers. I get the feeling the AL East matchup will really set the tone for the rest of the year.

I'm speechless. I don't know what to say. They seem to be asking for donations an AWFUL lot. 700 Club Style.

Styles, above all. Gertner and Cyrus are fantastic, but Styles, above all, is ECW. And I'd like to see HC Loch, Jim Molineuax and John Finegan as refs.

When this draft is completed, these are my ideas. -Unify the World titles. This would allow for my second point to have more credibility. While I'm at it, unify the tag titles as well. -Make the two shows more rivalrous. We hear an occasional 'That's why Smackdown is the best wrestling in the world' But I think there needs to be more of a rivalry between the two shows. Not an "a' and "b" show, make them even, like they were in 2000. -More interpromotional matches. It implements bragging rights, especially with my second point. -Bring back the King of the Ring tournament, or some kind of annual honour. -More interaction between the two GM's, say, more trades. Ultimately it boils down to a type of competition. Since there's no forseeable rivalry like the Monday Night Wars, perhaps it's time to do so within. But maybe I'm just talking from my ass.

I used the word zowee. Cheesiness shouldn't really be an issue. Point well taken, however.

What happened on Tuesday's show? Subsequently, what happened Wednesday, as I'm working during both. Can anyone update me?

non spoiler Smackdown matchlisting, please

He brought that list out on Live Journal a few weeks ago too...It would have been just as effective written sideways and not in a list, you know. Only putting heavy metal on the map? That's a pretty big only. Dr. Jonas Salk didn't only cure polio. (Well, he didn't do anything else that I'm aware of, but you get my drift). I'm extremely inclined to agree.

I always thought it had to be 3 arm drops.

Cherry Pie-Warrant? A guilty pleasure? zowee.
-
I'd sell my genitals to see Cyrus there. But Paul E will cell phone Bischoff instead of Cyrus, because of the shitty terms on which he left WWF. Raw army? that worries me.
-
I've been, at best, a casual fan since ECW folded. But I've been genuinely interested in raw the last two months....granted, I always follow like a mark between Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania, but Raw has been intriguing, exctiing, interesting television over the past bit. Fun fact: At about 855 pm, I said Edge wouldnt win, they wouldnt drop the title on free tv. At 1030, when I was drunk, i marked out, and my buddy's gf, who was over, took pics of me counting what I thought was 3 for Edge to win the title. Therefore, alcohol equals markdom.
-
I thought the show was great from a mark standpoint, from a smark's, i saw most of it coming, but still. I did shed a manly tear over the ECW bit, even if most of it was nothing more than a Vince ego trip. Thoughts? Sorry, it's probably been discussed on the Official Raw Thread. But I don't want to sift through those while as drunk as i am now.

I was pretty interested in the 24 season finale, a show I've never seen but am familiair with most facets of. I heard a radio spot for it, and, despite worries of red white and blue everywhere at the end, thought it sounded very good.
-
How so? No one really tapped there, nor do I recall anyone being asked or encouraged to tap out. But I'm drunk, too.

Sold 20 copies today at Walmart in Fort Erie, Ontario. That's absoultely unheard of for our store. By comparison, we sold maybe 6 copies of OC Season 1 on its first day, which is generally our best selling box set,
-
It's thinking out loud on my behalf, but when did tapping out officially replace a referee simply calling for the bell on behalf of the wrestler? I always remember, in my mark days, a referee attending to a wrestler in say, the Sharpshooter. And he would just call for the bell if wrestler b called it quits. I recall watching Bret Hart tap on Raw in 97 to the anklelock, while a referee was knocked out, which was the first tap out I ever saw outside of UFC. I honestly can't remember the last time I saw the scenario I described above, as opposed to the tap out. Anyone fill me in?

It has a classic steel cage match between Bret and Owen Hart, Alundra Blayze and Bull Nakano had a good match and Razor Ramon and Diesel had an entertaining match. The rest of the card is passible except for the Undertaker/Underfaker match. Can't believe I forgot the Hart cage match. Some mark I am.
