  1. Did they ever resolve that angle at all?
  2. This...doesn't make any sense. It's probably something to keep Lawler happy for when he gets kicked off the broadcast team.
  3. Maybe that means he'll die in a car crash after trying to inject himself with something while driving and crashing into an oncoming van. ... Way too much information about a teen drama, dude. Loser. If you're forced to watch something for months at a time, you'd remember stuff you didn't want to as well. Kinda like WWE 2002-2006. And WCW 1999-2000.

  6. She's not that hot, and she's posed before. Anyone who really wanted to see her naked would have done so already. There's no pop because there isn't anything to tease with.
  7. I think it's more the fact that Foley just did the same basic angle with Carlito less than six months ago, and it's the same one he does every time he shows up. If it was something different, maybe it would work, but it's the same thing each and every time; Foley shows up, someone insults him, they have a match.
  8. I am sure you have never heard of card subject to change. That's always true but when it goes "Mysterio and Orton clash in a steel cage match with the World title on the line". Why would a preview state that? It's not like WWE hasn't done it before. Because WWE is often in such a mess that one department won't know what they are allowed or not allowed to do and it all becomes one giant clusterfuck. WWE were annoyed that news of Ted DiBiase collapsing hit the internet, but guess who broke the story? WWE.com. You can't write comedy that good.
  9. He has an boo-boo on his cheek, other then that? Dancing around and walking normal. I can't say I'm surprised. He pulled the same shit after Survivor Series in 2001.
  10. They'll keep trying until right before the match itself.
  11. Is Shane selling any of the damage from the Streetfight?
  12. On The Law, Meltzer said that WWE and NBC are both pointing the finger at each other with each blaming the other of not advertising it properly. He also said that while the contract calls for a minimum of two specials a year, there is nothing that says it has to be in prime time, so the next special could be stuck in an afternoon or late night slot where a bad rating won't mean so much.
  13. There is no deal and it would take something extraordinary for there to be one. They've tried countless times and offered scenario after scenario to Bret to try and get him to come back on-screen and he's shot them all down. I think their mindset is that if they keep goading him like they are, then Bret might feel the need to return just to write the final chapter on that whole mess. The trouble is that even if they did the near impossible and somehow convinced Bret to do such an angle, they'll never let it go, and Bret knows that. Everyone knows that.
  14. A series about an actual Joey would do better than Joey.
  15. You're also a dumbfuck, it seems. And how many tickets or PPV buys do you think that segment sold? Ratings dropped once the segment was over, so it's not like any major portion of that 8+ rating stuck around to bring in ad dollars either.
  16. WOL is live tonight. Call in and ask.
  17. --Last night may have been a good show, but the ratings were a bomb. SNME did a 3.2 rating on the fast nationals, dead last among the four networks that were programming, two of which were running reruns and CBS did a 6.0 with the NCAA Basketball tournament in the two hours head-to-head. From Da Meltz.
  18. If a 4.0 cable rating's worth of people had seen SNME, what rating would that be?
  19. From this weeks Observer: Even Dave's most pessimistic projections weren't this low. This number is a bad one, no matter how people are trying to spin it.
  20. Charlotte in early 1986 for a Crockett house show when The Rock and Roll Express came out for a match against The Midnight Express. It was so ungodly loud and sustained. It blows away just about every other nomination in this thread.
  21. It's true. Warrior wasn't catching fire like they wanted, so they kept changing his look in the hope that something would click with the audience. It's the major reason all the rumors came out that Warrior had died, because he kept changing so much that some people thought they'd had to bring in someone new to play the role.
  22. Do you even think before you type or do you just bash the keys in some random order and hope for the best?
  23. Hogan's WCW deal had him earn something like $40,000 each TV Taping IIRC, and he got a PPV bonus and many other perks Hogan's initial deal was $300,000 per Clash or PPV appearance, plus 25% of the PPV revenue if it went over a certain amount.
  24. MMA Snark.com It was linked to on Zach Arnold's site, and I was interested in what kind of argument was being made.
