  1. USC is low because they have only played one currently ranked team, and they lost. They have no business being close to the top 10 with 2 loses in a weak PAC-10 conference and an easy schedule. USC's best win is against Oregon State, thats not impressive at all.

Hawaii is too high, but they are up there by default. You were right to say not to rank them too high, they really don't deserve it. If they win out, i think the highest I would rank them is #12.

I kept Clemson ranked because they haven't just been winning against good ACC teams, they've been rolling them. IE, Wake Forest, Maryland.

And I was too lazy to look for typos last night, I knew some where in there.

    Iggy's Top 25:

First off I think West Virginia has played a way tougher schedule than Missouri and Kansas, so they deserve the nod over those teams.

USC way too high. see above

South Florida has had a tough schedule, but they also have 3 loses, 2 of them to teams you ranked lower than them who have the same or better records than they do, who also happen to be in the same conference. Thats giving them way too much love for beating Auburn and upsetting West Virginia.

Illinois is too high. I don't think the Big Ten is any good at all, and to have 3 loses, 2 of them to unranked conference opponents doesn't look good.

Some of MY good sense needs to rub off on you it seems. B-)

  2. Franklin,

he's #6 and I was #30 something. WHAT THE FUCK! To quote my main man czech when impersonating Lushus...

    "Yep, that really happened!"

    HE SUCKS!

For one, don't get it twisted....he's in love with ME, not the other way around (like he tried to explain to my girlfriend the other night). And I didn't know he said that shit about me at Dave N Busters, I make almost as much as you do now hater! So suck a fat one. Next time I see him in the streets...he goes DOWN!

  5. First to answer your questions.

    1. West Virginia, they are hanging on to a preseason #1, and just barely. If they don't dominate ECU this week, and I suspect they won't, I will drop them to at least #3. They had an off game against Marshall, but unlike, say Texas for example, they pulled away in the 2nd half. When Texas has an off game, it come down to the wire.

    2. Virginia Tech, they got blown out by a great LSU team. The only reason I dropped them 2 spots for that is because it was a blow out, otherwise I wouldn't have dropped them at all. And they've beaten 2 decent teams in ECU and Ohio. And you used South Carolina as an example as someone who has beaten someone. True they are undefeated, but take away the 1 game against ranked opponents for each and Tech's schedule is WAY tougher than SC's.

    3. Hawaii, you're probably right here, to be honest I'm not sure why i didn't drop hawaii more for that OT game. but to be fair i'm not moving them up at all unless they start blowing teams away in the conference schedule. They are gonna hang around the 14-15 mark until they lose, or start kicking ass late in the season.

    4. Oregon is very good and will probably be in the top 25 all year, but i don't think they are a top 10 team, unless they beat Cal. I still see them as #3 in the pac 10. And the pac 10 isn't that strong.

    5. Missouri, they almost lost their opener against an "ok" illinois team. Since then they have kept it together and beat an "ok" ole miss team. I think missouri is the 2nd best team in the big 12 behind Oklahoma, and we'll see if they prove it in 2 weeks when they have nebraska at home.

I'm posting your top 25 for comparison here.

    (Previous week's rank in parenthesis)

    1. USC 2-0 (2)

    2. LSU 3-0 (1)

    3. Oklahoma 3-0 (3)

    4. Florida 3-0 (12)

    5. Oregon 3-0 (7)

    6. West Virginia 3-0 (9)

    7. Ohio State 3-0 (16)

    8. Texas 3-0 (4)

    9. South Carolina 3-0 (11)

    10. Boston College 3-0 (22)

    11. Penn State 3-0 (14)

    12. California 3-0 (13)

    13. Rutgers 3-0 (15)

    14. Alabama 3-0 (17)

    15. Louisville 2-1 (8)

    16. Wisconsin 3-0 (10)

    17. Kentucky 3-0 (NR)

    18. Cincinnatti 3-0 (NR)

    19. Texas A&M 3-0 (19)

    20. USF 3-0 (21)

    21. Missouri 3-0 (25)

    22. Clemson 3-0 (NR)

    23. Georgia 2-1 (24)

    24. Georgia Tech 2-1 (5)

    25. Nebraska 2-1 (18)

Close: Arizona State, Virginia Tech, Air Force, Texas Tech, Arkansas, Miami, Tennessee

1, USC, who have they beaten? Nebraska? Nebraska will not be ranked come the end of the season and USC will lose at least 1 game, just like last year. Maybe not to ucla, but cal, oregon, asu, even washington could beat them. I can understand if they are still hanging on to a preseason #1, cuz they haven't done anything to prove they shouldn't be #1, but they haven't done anything to prove they should be either.

2, Oregon, OMG WAAAAAAAAAAAY too high. You'll see, they will drop, HARD.

3, South Carolina, I don't think they are THAT good, they are on the same level as Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee.

4, Virginia Tech should at least be ranked, thats insane.

5, but not as insane as MIAMI being close. wow. When Texas A&M blows them out will they drop out? Or do they still look better than Hawaii?

btw, none of this is personal. i just wanted to start a friendly rivalry of top 25's this year.

  6. No UW love unless they beat OSU next week huh? Can't argue with that. Why the Wake Forest love though?

Washington is right on the edge, if they just give ohio state a good game, they may get in my ranks within the next few weeks.

The wake love is for losing to Boston College, who should be a top 20-25 team all year. Then barely losing to Nebraska, while really controlling the game WITHOUT their starting quarterback. I think Wake will be in the real top 25 towards the end of the year. They are way better than their record.

  7. I took this test and got the same thing kkk got. I'd also like to point out some errors.

#2 it's actually Joseph and Joey

#5 Basic Christianity through "Dark Carnival" characters

#7 J cut off his dreads cuz he was legit crazy and had a panic attack during a show. Shaggy did for a new look after J did it.

#9 It was NEVER supposed to be 7 joker's cards, always 6. There ending up being 7 albums, as they turned the 6th one into two parts(Heaven & Hell), although they say only the first part counts. I would include the 2nd cuz it completes the story and it's 5000x better than the first part.

  8. I agree that Florida comes from a WAY tougher conference than USC and has had a tougher schedule. But the reason I jumped USC over Florida is based mostly on this last week. Florida basically got beat. They won, but they shouldn't have. USC pretty much romped on a good Oregon team. But I understand what you're saying about Florida's resume looking better than USC's. I just couldn't jump Florida all the way up to my #3 team for almost losing. USC will fall soon, and they will fall hard.

As far as Auburn and LSU go, I consider them to be equal. I don't hold the loss to Auburn against LSU really. I ranked Auburn ahead of LSU a little because of the loss head to head, but mostly because of the fact they beat Florida and LSU didn't.

I try not to punish teams too much for a loss, if it's to a good team. I just don't really like how in the real polls a team loses and drops way below worse teams, then works their way back up, therefore losses later in the season are killers. I'm trying to avoid that.

I like that you gave Penn State some respect. I thought about adding them to the end of the NR teams, but then I decided to go with Central Michigan, then I changed my mind again and went with Missouri ahead of Georgia.

  9. Texas lost to the clear cut #1 team in the land, I don't punish them much for that. (see Iowa) And I wouldn't consider it "soundly" either. We'll see how good Texas is when they play Oklahoma, if they don't beat them fairly easily, they will drop behind Michigan. But not behind USC or Florida, those teams are begging for losses.

I give GT respect, close game at ND, but they didn't beat anyone worth a shit until they beat Va Tech. Troy even gave them a scare, thats why I had them towards the bottom of the poll.

I love that you put Georgia at 18, btw. Hey...I tend to agree, I think I have them over rated. ah well, they will lose very soon.
