Wow. That's cold.
-
I thought the tattoo was because Punk was a big fan of the Barenaked Ladies' "Gordon" album and its cover.
-
But at least you know it's the pepsi logo. What the fuck are Ortons? Random, intertwined, lines?
-
I don't think Punks tattoos are gay enough to warrant the Orton push.
-
Hey, Vince McMahon just doesn't make anyone his bitch on live TV; you have to be real special for an honour like that.

The correct answer to "Airplane? What is it?" is "It's a winged vehicle capable of flight and used for transport, but that's not the issue right now" Surely, you didn't believe I never saw the movie before.
-
Edited.
-
I never heard of this movie before, either. Airplane? What is it?
-
I didn't want to post that, but there was way too much optimism in this thread We had this discussion when Ultimo Dragon was signed, how come nothing was learned from that?
-
Or maybe he'll get thrown into the ring post by Brock Lesnar. Or face Shannon Moore in his debut and be forgotten about afterwards. Or maybe he'll run around naked. I think my "maybes" are more of a likely maybe than yours'. I doubt he'll be making "guaranteed" six figures either, maybe HTQ can clearify, but $75,000 is generally the rate for guys like him.
-
Yeah, I feel good for him. He gets to get paid the bare-minimum WWE guys get, bust his ass 3 or 4 nights of the week on a continuous basis throughout the year, get booked in stupid and occasionally humiliating angles, has to deal with a heavily politicized backstage area, get beat up in the ring by guys twice his size with half his talent, infront of crowds who don't give a shit about him no matter how hard he tries, has to listen to dumb-fuck writers who don't know his character or him and can't say anything back to them because they have the power to completely bury him, and his body and spirit will get broken down to the point to where "straight edge" will refer to getting his roids "straight" from "Edge" so he can have a chance to get pushed off of Velocity, and pain killers will be a way of life. And most of all, I feel good for him because in a year or two of putting up with all that shit he'll be back to where he began in the indys only with less enthusiasm and less fan support. Go Punk!

They should be signing guys either because "Hey, look what he can do for us" or "Hey, look what we can do for him" (or both), not "Hey, look what we can do to them". This just screams him getting let go in a years time because they "have nothing for him" or him quitting because he was tired of being thrown around the ring by Chris Masters. The best thing Punk can do is not listen to a thing they say and do all he can in the ring and out of the ring to get over with the fans.
-
Is it certain that the WWE's interest of these guys is purely to fuck TNA over, or are there other reasons? Because if it's just to fuck TNA over, then there is no hope at all for anyone signed for that reason - as opposed to the 1% bit of hope they'd get otherwise if they didn't meet the WWE's criteria-for-success.

Then you, clearly, haven't heard about the time Curry asked Joe if his first name really was "Samoa"... I still have pictures from LOTC's year-long physical therapy.... such a strong soldier.

The Whedon speaks to everyone, however, some people choose not to listen.

One thing in particular about Josses writing that divides people on him is in regards to dialogue. This person is one of the people who doesn't like it, so I doubt he liked Buffy or Angel or Firefly... infact, reading it again, he said that he couldn't "endure" Buffy. Guess what? This is a Whedon-hater. Hell, it was probably Vyce. You don't use words like "endure" for things you don't hate. Whether he is "right" or not is irrelevant, "It is not believable because movies are fake" is 'right', but it doesn't matter to someone who enjoys movies. "The dialogue was structured and obvious and too "cute"" may be "right", but hey, I like that kinda stuff and so do yall here. If you put a lot of stuff you liked about Buffy and Angel down on paper and tell someone to look at it objectively, they'd probably say it sucked and you were stupid for liking it. But this isn't about objectivity, it's about something that connects with you in some way that makes you feel for the characters on screen and lets you experience different highs and lows and emotions throughout. "Buffy was a teenage vampire slayer who fell in love with a vampire who was good because he had a soul which was given to him by gypsies..." sounds stupid by itself, and especially sounds stupid to someone who already looks down on that kind of "stuff" and will start using words like "endure" to describe it, but does someone saying that makes them "right", to you Mole?

I am not racist. I love Dave Chappelle.

The more I think about the Chappelle one, the funnier it becomes. -

Do you think the world will end in 2012?
RavishingRickRudo replied to CBright7831's topic in General Chat
What if I invent my own calendar *right* before it happens? Do I get a restart? It may be 2012 to western civilization, but not to me. OR, what if my watch is off? -
Do you think the world will end in 2012?
RavishingRickRudo replied to CBright7831's topic in General Chat
Is there a specific time when this would happen? Would it start in Japan/Australia at 12:01am Jan 1, 2012 and spread over to each country as the day begins, or would it be all at once? -
Is that show the toronto show, and am I you're friend?

I was on the bus yesterday, and 3 high schoolers (grade 9,10?) were sitting there and felt the need to not only have the worst coversation I've heard in a long time, but also share it with the entire bus by speaking so loudly. This happens way too much.

Vince believes he's above the boys, not one of them. I read that somewhere (coulda been in a shoot interview review), where Shane was getting too chummy with the boys and Vince told him to keep a distance. When I first read the title for this thread, I could have sworn it was about Steph getting pissed off over the quality of catering. -
I had a graduation ceremony today. My grandparents flew in for it. I... FUCKFUCKFUCKUFKCUFOKUJC OKFAOKJOJKUOP:FHJKL!!!!!!!! RRR: Must find tickets. Must be there.

Pros: - She's hawt - Peter fn Coyote - A neat twist at the end, with Coyote "firing" her, only to bait the real killer. Can we assume that Coyote knew it was him all along and kept him on just to "test" her? - Coyote shooting the guy in the head at the end... it was SUCH a Mal thing to do. *sniff* Minear didn't forget his roots. Cons: - What? Like, seriously. I am a CSI fan, and even though their science may be debated by jackfucks, they at least provide an explanation and details into the science, how-tos, etc. of the crime and how the CSI's solve the crime. This? Not so much. Blame it on editing or whatever, but I don't really buy the "she's gifted" thing, so they have to do a lil bit better in splainin things. - The "look" of the video - not the stylish elements like the screen "thumping" with the music at the end when she's following the dude, or the conversation between her and Coyote in the victims house, but the grain of the video is like it was filmed in the early 90's. I like slick production, not some "looks like it was taped over a copy of the 1992 World Series". It was really off-putting. - First episode. Tim Minear. Exposition out the wazoo. If it wasn't by Minear, or if I wasn't familiar with his work, it wouldn't have mattered. It was, so it was very obvious. "His conscience" is a nice line, but does it really have to be told to the audience? - What was with Baldwins hair?!! - I didn't like the other chick on Wonderfalls, and I don't like her here. - I miss the comedy. Overall, I'd give it a B, maybe a C+. I'll give it a few more shows to develop before passing ultimate judgement.
