This is hilarious. People comparing what the WWE wants with NJPW Jr. division, or WCW in 2001. They want them to wrestle like heavweights!!! THIS IS BAD!

But the majority of the people they select do that - the rare ones they do select (Red) don't make it to the finals.

However, with that said, AI promotes "making the song your own" - historically, 'those' types of singers don't make it very far. If you don't take a minute to fully enunciate a word, then you're kinda screwed.

Don't ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, EVER get PRIDE 9: New Blood. Learn from my mistake. Pride 13 is a pretty good show with one of the WORST MATCHES EVER in Satake vs. Yasuda. AVOID THIS MATCH AT ALL COSTS!!

Hardcore Discussion and SNKT make fun of the WWE Folder

Oh god that sucks. Part of "educating" fans is having them go through "long" matches. Not everything can be a quick KO, and ground fighting CAN be fun to watch. They do nothing but add to the mentality that 'once the fight goes to the ground it's boring' with stuff like that.

This "this board gets trashed too much" thing is an absolute riot.

So they couldn't, you know, pick a time to post the rules where they could, you know, discuss them and take questions and focus on concerns? Just wanting to know. Their organization thus far doesn't give me much hope for the future, especially since this is a rather "big" thing to spring on us. Again, I don't mind the rules, but the implementation of them and the reasonings for them SUCK.

This isn't about the WWE, this is about the supposed "fucking loser" who didn't want to job the title in Canada.

I was referring to the people who made the rules and didn't stick around to field questions concerning them. Pretty inconsiderate, if you ask me; especially after, essentially, insulting this folder and those who post in it. But hey, HD and SNKT think we suck, we have to change accordingly.

I find it disheartening that the braintrusts here decide to spring these new rules on us and don't bother to stay around to effectively answer any questions. Especially after the only follow-up comment was "The folder sucking a lot of dick for so long?". I don't think the WWE Folder is the only thing that needs to shape up around here.

Bret still had to work for WCW and WCW would probably hope to open up the Canadian market using him. Losing to Michaels in Canada especially after a hot angle like the USA/Can was, wouldn't kill him up north, but it certainly wouldn't help. So even if you look past the personal reasons for doing it, the professional ones still have validity.

Loss4Words and Goodyear are good people. CanadianChick lives near the west coast/WC timezone... and is ok people, I guess. Good judgement. I would venture to say that is why.

I don't think PRIDE has a best of and I haven't seen the UFC "Ultimate" DVD's so I can't tell ya (I believe the matches are clipped). The King of the Cage Best Of is a good buy (features Jackson vs. Eastman, Smith vs. Bang, various _sick_ KO's.)

It's not a show I'd pay $30 for. Just like how some movies you'd just wait to come out on DVD. Not that great, but still worth watching.

Comparing WWE women to joshi is just not fair, as WWE will never, ever produce another Akira Hokuto vs Shinobu Kandori because that's just not what they are trying to do. Not asking for that, just asking for something that doesn't completely expose the business.

This folder takes a lot of abuse, both on this board and others. We're a regular Anna Mae of the internet. . I wouldn't mind a lil expansion on this seeing as you, Dr. Tom, rarely ever post here. Not that I disagree with the rules made, I just find what prompted it kinda funny.
