  1. Why can't I critise people who make stupid decisions? We criticise the WWE for doing it. RRR: Is a Wrestling Fan. That should probably explain why the PPV wasn't purchased.
  2. Why anyone would order an "avg" show or not expect much going in confuses me. I like to know that my money is going towards something that is worth it.
  3. Maximum: RR Minimum: SS
  4. Have you looked at the card? Have you seen each of the participants wrestle? Can you imagine what these matches would be like? How do you think it would be?
  5. Orton had a really good match with Kidman on Velocity at about this time last year. Good enough to make me not hate him, at least
  6. Best of Nepotism and Incompetence... I don't think that's a good thing. I would have gone for the "It's not just business, it's the American way" and then put up a pic of George W. response, but I'm whacky like that
  7. I'm sorry, but I can't quite trust anyone who ordered this PPV's judgement... after all, you ordered this PPV in the first place. I don't hate Orton, I do think a bit of the anti-Orton sentiment is unfounded, but I can't quite say that he's good, let alone good enough for what he is getting.
  8. That's not fair to say since it has not been *established* in storyline form. The story is there, the WWE is not capitalizing on it - which was Currys whole point. The fans clearly respect Benoit, I don't think they are "sick" of the angle simply because the angle hasn't been done. Why did he lose to Angle? It wasn't his night. Angle was peaking. There are plenty of reasons to exploit. He beat Angle before, Angle beat him - they trade wins. Benoit can hang with the best in the company, it's just a matter of fate and finishing. The Mania Tag match, the #1 contenders, and the 4 way at Summerslam were not big matches. The only one you can argue for is the US title tourny, and even then it didn't have a lot of build to it.
  9. If you're even thinking about buying this PPV, you don't really need much convincing to buy it...
  10. Maybe he's referring to the "Benoit jobs to everyone for no reason" tour a few months ago...
  11. When did this 6 month push occur, AS?
  12. You're right... That is a weak scenario for Benoit. Besides, the whole point of the Long-Suffering Journeyman is to finally be rewarded in the end. He gets his big win because 1)He is at his peak, 2)He has his opponents number, 3)He has been training extra hard, 4)He is on the brink of collapse and will give everything he has left to win the title, 5) "Any given night, Any one man can win the title", etc etc.
  13. What are the matches left??? Me thinks HHH and Goldie are getting at least 15 minutes. That can't be good.
  14. Is Nepotism and Incompetence a business?
  15. Steph is from the wrestling business?
  16. There's Flair and the Ref. Plus HHH and Goldie could gig twice. 6 wrestling moves? Holy shit, high standards.
  17. For HHH and Goldberg, I'm thinkin... 3 run-ins. 5 spear attempts. 3 spears. 3 spear kickouts 2 pedigrees 1 Jackhammer 1 sledgehammer 2 ref bumps 2 Gm appearances 4 blade jobs
  18. Initially, the purpose was to make Dawn annoying. She's the bratty younger sister made to annoy Buffy... mission accomplished. Then we were supposed to feel sympathy for her when she was dealing with the whole "am I real ordeal" - some did, some didn't. For the latter half of Season 5 she was much less annoying, at least for me. Lemme put it this way: Dawn and Ben were made to parallel each other. At first, Ben was the nice guy and Dawn was a lil bitch. As the season progressed their roles changed. At the end, Dawn was the one willing to sacrifice herself for the world and Ben wasn't. Even if you don't like Dawn, that's some brilliant storytelling. Season 6 Dawn was just plain annoying, though. No reason for that.
  19. Oh man, Flair has his hands tied when cheating - I'll say 17 with that final one being fatal.
  20. I'll say 4 crossbody's (and all variations of - including pescado's, springboard rotations, off the top rope)
  21. Good lord, we should start a pool on the amount of hiptosses, arm-drags and dropkicks that will be in this match. 7 hip tosses 4 armdrags 8 dropkicks
  22. But Ortons offense sucks too. I mean, I enjoy it cause it's 2000 Powerplant Offense, but they have the legitimacy of a 3 legged donkey. It's going to be a weak-ass match with the majority of the bumping coming off of punches and a variety of cross-bodys.
  23. Goldberg vs. Kane clearly is the money match to go for. But I would suspect that the WWE would let Goldberg get in a few defenses first and let Kane continue his reign of destruction until either (a)they cross paths naturally or (b)someone pleads Goldberg to take down Kane or ( c )Kane challenges Goldberg. Now, they could save that for Survivor Series or Armageddon (or both). The X-factor is HHH and whether or not he'll want Goldberg to have a successful title reign - because if Goldie is successful, HHH ain't gettin that belt back for a long while. (Of course, that is unless he goes to Smackdown, becomes a face and saves Steph and beats Brock for the title... which we all know would be just... heh... just ridiculous! Orton vs. Michaels will be horrible. All Orton can do is bump, and Michaels has piss-poor offense.
  24. Steph: I'd love to be a girl jumping on a trampoline Jimmy. Jimmy: But the thing is, Steph, the girls we have jumping on the trampoline bounce back up... so yeah, sorry.
  25. Back in '99 Albert did a missile dropkick to Big Show from the top rope.
