  1. I'm confused. I thought you wanted to bring in more troops? Maybe I was just dreaming that....
  2. The news was talking about the Keri Strug shit back in 96 right after it happened, much to the outrage of west coast viewers who hadn't seen it yet thanks to tape delay.
  3. I only remember Don Imus asking Kerry about the story, and he denied it. And that was pretty much the end of that. But hey, don't let fact get in the way of your spin. DEVELOPING...
  4. Yes, "anonymous source" has such a great track record. This has as much chance as being true as the possibilities of it being McCain.
  5. See, this is who really controls everything.
  6. ClintonAid?
  7. Not all of them, nine of them.
  8. Well, probably we would, since it would be our emergency services responding and all.
  9. I always thought BubbaCare was a better name.
  10. According to the report on 411: I wish someone would put up the satelite feed. I'd like to hear a GOOD promo from Bradshaw for once.
  11. People didn't stay tuned because they didn't see The Rock. Everybody figured Rock was going to play a role in the main event and hung around last time. Which goes to show, I guess, that Rock draws best when put in as soon to the start of the show as possible.
  12. That's because we're talking about it in sports. Where it arguably belongs.
  13. That's because the value of the work hasn't gone up, you don't deserve to be paid more than that! -=You Know Who
  14. Last I heard on the funeral home fire, the angle was that Bearer and Taker started it to kill Momma Bearer and Kane. Of course, Kane has gone from Zombie to Zombie With A Heart Of Gold to Guy Who Is Proud To Be A Zombie to Guy Playing a Zombie Who Lost A Friend In A Car Accident to Insane sorta-Zombie.
  15. The picture in that CNN article is very generous, so: http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...0/tp10106291612 Oh my.
  16. The thing I don't get is how Mike is still here. Yeah, I keep arguing to the bitter end, reluctantly, with him on partisan talking points that go nowhere and becme "I think my party's solution works, and yours doesn't" stretched out until kingdom come, but I know I'm not alone in thinking he's become more and more of a troll, which is a shame as all the flamebaiting and trolling and namecalling has brought down the quality of his posts, which used to be pretty decent. A couple other people have also spotted him bullying away in other forums and in other threads. Anyone who disagrees with him is flamed, and anyone who stands up to the flame is hurled personal insults or a claim of innocence. In fact, I know I'll get a response to one of these two reactions to this post. As far as I'm conerned, he's past his freshness date and contributed all the insight he ever well from this point on. For the love of God, please ban.
  17. Pity. She provided a level of extremism that was barely tolerable but not as bad as, say, Nemesis. She took Ann Coulter seriously but at least joined in the O'Reilly haterizing.
  18. 600 POUNDS, BRAH! I thought the line of the article was the thing about "Bring your little piss cup, and I will fill it." I just pictured him saying that in his promo voice. Still, this was the guy who had that awful ambiguously gay duo bit with Kurt Angle, including chugging milk (hello, Freud) and a mouth-to-mouth kiss when the camera shut off.
  19. I would like to see somebody else shoehorned into the title match next week, and find that Bradshaw is just a transitional champion. While Eddie was great as champ, somebody else has to got to get over for the show's survival.
  20. Nah. Tax the rich means people who are approaching $100 million a year. A smidgen more to them means a hell of a lot more than a smidge to the people living near the bottom.
  21. We're not even talking about Bill O'Reilly here, we're talking the class higher than him. The Gates/Buffett/etc billionaire's club. I don't know what Hillary is considering but this is what Kerry's people had been talking about.
  22. Coolidge saw that so many Americans lived in poverty and chose to do nothing about it. Uh...?
  23. Nah, I'm pretty sure I've got it right. Your guess is based on the slippery slope theory, for one.
  24. And then maybe we'll have some definitive numbers, and we'll see how people will react. I firmly believe that "rich" will be pretty rich, though. Bill O'Reilly goes on about how the Dems want to raise his taxes, but we're not even talking Bill O'Reilly rich (and he is pretty wealthy.) We're talking the top 1%, insanely rich wealthy. Most Dems agree the rich are getting a free ride right now anyway. As Warren Buffet put it, "there's class warfare in this country, and my class is winning."
