  1. They're calling them Ray-hawks.
  2. Away from the Red Sox, I root for a good game. I don't play the "well the Red Sox are my favorite team, but I also kind of like the Cardinals" nonsense.
  3. GO WHITE SOX DODGERS!!
  4. You think Lackey can beat Lester twice in one series? Not saying you're necessarily wrong, but that's a bold prediction. I'm concerned with Lester starting on the road.

    Fashion

Why? Black, khaki, some dark greens and blues. Some have different styles of pockets. I like to wear clean shorts.

Cargo shorts a very day. Varying shoes. I have all black Shox that I can't find anywhere and want desparately to replace, some white/black/yellow Shox and white/black/yellow Asics. Typically just a regular polo shirt to work with an UnderArmour shirt underneath. Casually, I don't dress all that differently. I have 20-30 pair of cargo shorts, tons of teeshirts and a few pairs of sneakers. That's pretty much my wardrobe. I have one nice pair of dress slacks, two really nice dress shirts (one black, one white) and a suit jacket that has a giant cut in the back (there's a story there). But the last time I wore any of it was almost two years ago. EDIT: I used to be big into wearing jerseys, but most of the ones I wore are hockey sweaters, which are difficult to wear in Florida. Most of my teeshirts are sports-related though.
  8. Why is that? I know formally that a C is supposed to be the only one allowed to discuss calls with the officials, but given how lax that rule generally is, is this just keeping up appearances? I read somewhere that for the captain to leave the crease to argue calls gives that team unfair timeouts or something.
  9. http://canucks.nhl.com/team/app/?service=p...rticleid=384144 For some reason, the Canucks have named Roberto Luongo team captain. They will have three alternates captains since Luongo cannot wear the C.
  10. They have Gerber and Auld. Auld only makes 1 million a year and is better than Khabibulin. Not sure who will take him on. Nashville might be a good spot, but they'd have to shed money to claim him on waivers. Unless they picked him up on re-entry waivers where Chicago would pick up half of the contract.
  11. They already have 4 million committed to Toskala, plus the buyout on Raycroft for this year and next. I doubt they take Khabibulin on. They're not going anywhere.
  12. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=251197&amp...s=secStory_main Khabibulin waived. Huet's the man this year, with Niemi/Crawford fighting it out for second string. Is anyone dumb enough to take on Khabibulin's full 6.75? Or will they wait for re-entry? Will anyone take him at all?
  13. Twins game was fun to watch, they were just waiting for something to happen. They had left a small village on the bases before they blew it open.
  14. Sometimes.
  15. The girlfriend made breakfast this morning. Homemade pancakes, eggs, bacon and toast. I "helped" by helpfully providing instructions on the use of the electric griddle (something she had never used for eggs before) and answering work emails on the laptop. Had subway for dinner. Didn't feel like cooking, so I got an Italian BMT with provolone, mayo, lettuce, olives, green peppers and onions. I listened to a SModcast while I ate.
  16. I'm a level two communications and field service technician for Gtech Corporation, a worldwide gaming supplier. I have a photo id and a company vehicle and everything.
  17. I argue that. *wins Norris trophy* I argue that. *celebrates* I argue with that. *dives* I argue that. *disappears* Argued. Argued. Gaborik just cracked the 80 point mark last year, his seventh year. He has talent but has yet to put it together to make a solid scoring winger. I understand that he plays in a defensive system, but a lot of other players do as well. Patrik Elias has made his entire career in NJ and has cracked 80 points twice, one of them being a 96 point season. He's never finished below 50 in a complete season where he saw actual minutes. Again, Gaborik is talented, but I'd put him somewhere in back of the top 20 best players in the league when healthy.
  18. He tore two ligaments in his knee getting out of a golf cart.
  19. And I know it's preseason but: Bergeron: 1-3-4 Sobotka: 2-2-4 Sturm: 2-2-4 And likely yourrrrr top six for the Boston Bruins on opening night: Lucic-Savard-Ryder Sturm-Bergeron-Kessel That leaves a clusterfuck of Kobasew, Axelsson, Sobotka, Schaefer, Krejci, Yelle, Thornton, Nokelainen fighting it out for six spots.
  20. Bergeron has been practicing, is cleared medically and ready for camp to start. He's back to his normal weight and has been cleared for contact since the first round of the playoffs last year. There were rumors of him looming for games 5, 6 and 7, but the Bruins played it safe and kept him out. He's on for opening night. I'd guess with some combination of Kobasew, Kessel or Lucic.
  21. Jason Pominville signed a 5/26.5 extension. 5.3 cap hit.
  22. Once we get into a house, I want this style: Not the brand, or the color necessarily, but that style of the fridge on top, freezer in a drawer on the bottom.
  23. I would have moved and curtseyed as she walked by me. No need to get snippy and turn it into a blue collar v. white collar thing.
  24. Irony: Sign seen during "Fan Time" on the FSN:Florida feed of Red Sox/Rays: "BANDWAGON NATION: GO HOME!"
