    The Simpsons Question

Favorite line of all-time: Ned Flanders as a little boy: "Now I'm Pruuune Tracy!! Take that Dick F---!" as he's pulled off of another kid.

I hate the city of Montreal, its hockey team and the faux-soccer fans that travel to other cities. I hope a pipebomb explodes in the Bell Center.

You take that show seriously? It gives Bill Plaschke a vehicle to spew his dumbass opinions.

Not to interrupt the riveting ratings conversation, but THERE'S BEEN A TRADE SON. Boston Bruins get.... Shane Hnidy and Anaheim's sixth rounder for Brandon Bochenski (seen here training in the offseason) Also, Anaheim relinquished their rights to Boston's fourth rounder in this year's draft, previously acquired when they gave the Bruins Stanislav Chistov (thank you, Brian Burke). This deal is, of course, barely news. But it's going to start something. Hnidy takes Ward's spot and I think Chiarelli moves Ward to a playoff team for something. Ward is great on playoff teams. And if he can bring in a scorer or two...see ya, Wardo.

    Mischa Barton Gets Arrested

Not to be a nitpick, but if she blew a 2.1, she'd be so dead that alcohol might start leaking from her eyes. Legally dead by the breathalyzer is around .5.

Bruins lose 5-0 to the Thrashers. Really, I mean who saw that coming when Brandon Bochenski is playing on the top line with Savard and Axelsson? This team needs a top offensive player, BADLY. Glen Murray is hurt again (surprise!) and they never replaced Bergeron when he went down outside of giving Glen Metropolit more minutes. What the fuck.

    Sirius Stilleto 2 and Itunes

According to this: http://gottaget1.blogspot.com/2007/08/new-...and-car-tv.html You need a microSD card to upload music. I don't know what burning a CD would accomplish, outside of playing it in your car's CD player. I would think that you get yourself a microSD card with an adapter http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/se...=OTC-GOOGLEBASE load your songs on it and put the SD card into the stilletto. Makes sense to me.

Really? It rose for me. Add in that Crosby couldn't be a man and take his visor off and I think Ference didn't look all that bad. He finished his check and shoved Crosby back.

In other news, Alex Auld is 4-1-0 for the Bruins with a 1.4/.955. Sure I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop. Chuck Kobasew leads the team in goals? Glen Murray is skating like his feet aren't made of cement? Lucic is getting a reputation around the league and backing it up? Great. Still waiting for the colossal slide.

Choo-choo! You hear that? That's the Johan Hedberg train. Get the fuck off the tracks. Yeah, get off the tracks. Because it's going to derail not far from where it passed.

The Sabres have outshot the Bruins 150-93 in the four games that the teams have played so far. The Bruins have outscored the Sabres 11-7 and have won three of those four games. Sports are funny sometimes.

I knew the Rockies would bounce back. In other news, reports are coming out that Patrice Bergeron is likely down for the season as he has yet to lace up the skates in the month-and-a-half that he's been out. He's coming back to Boston, but it could just be to see teammates or something for the holidays. With Bergeron being out, the Bruins would be allowed to place him on LTIR and use his remaining cap hit to bring someone in for this season in a push for the playoffs. I've read rumors of a deal involving Sergei Fedorov that I hope are explicitly false and whoever made them up should have their fingers cut off.

    The Incredible Threadable Egg

Yes. Quiche is good. The best thing is that you can put just about any leftover meat/veg from the fridge into it and it'll turn out good. Usually, I get my eggs overeasy with toast. Eat the eggs and use the toast to sop up the yolks. Scrambled are OK. I haven't had a poached egg in a while. I make omelets when it's my week to make breakfast.

Bruins got Alex Auld from the Dogs for Dicasmirro/5th in 2009. I like the move. Rask is inexperienced and very, very pricey against the cap (Rask costs more against the cap than Thomas). With Thomas getting hurt last night, Chiarelli realized that Thomas is, in fact, mortal and he might need to have a cheap, capable backup. A quick, decisive trade from a Bruins GM?! I thought I'd never see the day. Losing Dicasmirro is sad, but this is a good deal.

I don't know what hit you're referencing, so I don't know what to tell you. A hit should be avoided when a guy is fucking kneeling against the boards and you have a chance to avoid the hit altogether. Again, I've been watching hockey for a while now and even played for a while and I honestly believe that Hartnell made the wrong decision to follow through with the hit. He slowed down to avoid a charging penalty, but still saw fit to slam Alberts' head into the dasher. How is the hit even defendable? I was using it as an example. There's hitting in hockey, yes. But there's a line between a hit like Eager gave Chara (from the side, near the boards, could have been charging) and the hit that Hartnell gave Alberts. Blaming the victim of the hit is something I can't believe and it seems that it's what Flyers fans have been doing all season. My question is, when does it become the Flyers player's fault? Paralysis? That seems to be the road we're heading down. Especially with two two-game suspensions from a league that should be trying to crack down on hits to the head, neck and spine.

    NHL Thread - November 2007

Fuck that noise. The only reason Hartnell slowed down was to avoid the charging penalty that he likely would have gotten. Ah, so now it's all the Bruins fault. Need to work on hockey fundamentals because some fucking half-assed organization can't teach their players that they shouldn't hit people in the head. Like I said before, if this was a singular incident, fine. I'd be pissed that it's another injury to a defense that really can't afford to lose NHL talent right now, but hey, it's a singular incident. This is the fourth time in 25 games that the Flyers have made a dirty or questionable hit. But clearly, the Senators, Canucks and Bruins are all in the wrong and must go back to work on fundamentals.

    NHL Thread - November 2007

Lots of players. I've seen it happen on more than one occasion and have never seen someone get hit like that. Why should Hartnell bail out Alberts? So he doesn't injure him, maybe? Maybe had Hartnell caught him just right, he could have broken his neck? Would you be absolving Hartnell then? It was a dirty hit because it was avoidable. It was called a penalty because by the rulebook, it was. http://www.nhl.com/rules/rule44.html Alberts shouldn't have played it like that, but it doesn't give Hartnell the right to stampede into him just because he made that play. If a defenseman dives down to block a shot, should opposing players kick him in the face? Hey, he put himself in the position to make the play, it's his fault, right? Bullshit. What goes around comes around. I hope it comes around on the Flyers soon.
