We have nothing locally. Mornings are the two burnouts from the old morning show who talk Fort Myers Miracle baseball (our rookie league team, property of the Twins) almost all the time. I could understand when they talked about Ricky Williams retiring, but they were hanging up on people who disagreed with them (They said that Ricky was wrong for it, but wouldn't listen to anyone else's opinion on it.) After them, it's ESPN Radio's national shows 'The Herd', who I personally can't stand. After him, it's Dan Patrick, which is usually good. Then it's back to local sports with a guy who only knows baseball. Normally that'd be good, but he doesn't know shit about it.

I can see al at a little league game... "JOHNSON BATTING SECOND?! THE KID HAS A CAREER 594 OPS FOR GOD'S SAKE! PUT IN THOMAS!! KID'S GOT WIN SHARES COMING OUT OF HIS ASS!!!!!"

I've run AVG, A², TrojanHunter, etc.etc. I don't know how else to get rid of it.

Watching Steve Yzerman get old and fight numerous injuries is kind of disheartening. Other than that, I haven't run into this yet. Bourque's quality went down, but he won his Cup and retired. Bird retired when he realized that he couldn't realistically cut it anymore. And I never idolized anyone on the Red Sox enough to say that their production decreasing was depressing. I'm sure I'll run into that when Manny and Pedro stop producing. Other than that, my idol in sports was Cam Neely, so watching him deteriorate in front of my eyes was horrible.

I'm glad they got something for him. They wanted to sign him back, but he refused contracts to remain with the team. Management has a lot of players to go after in the off-season, and this is one less now. I like the defense, and two decent bats are good enough for me. Papi and Manny can pick up the slack, I'm sure. Would have liked to have seen D-Lowe go, and Clement come over in the deal, but, what can you do? I guess Old Man Wallace thinks he can help D-Lowe and have him ready for the postseason.

Red Sox v. Yanks is a great series. The rivalry is there, plus there always seems to be a great game waiting to happen

I like the deal for the Red Sox. They improved their defense and got a shortstop that they'll be able to keep. Also, this keeps Millar away from the defensive side of the ball.
