  2. That Booker/Benoit match I believe is best remembered for two things. Booker wins thanks to Sharmell, leading to him officially turning heel the next week. Benoit hits his back on the edge of the table in a botched suicide dive.
  3. From what I can recall she's been using it for some time, though as I recall its from the second rope.
  4. Dark Match *Funaki pinned a local talent. Smackdown: *WWE World champion Batista came to the ring for an interview. He said that at Wrestlemania, it's going to get ugly. Undertaker appeared on the Titantron from a cemetary, promising Batista would rest in peace. *Matt Hardy defeated Joey Mercury in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match after a top rope bulldog. King Booker and Sharmell were guest commentators at ringside. *MVP promised he would win his Money in the Bank Qualifying bout tonight. *Ashley Massaro vs. Jillian Hall was announced for later. *Scotty Too Hotty & Shannon Moore & Jimmy Wang Yang defeated Chavo Guerrero & Gregory Helms & Daivari when Yang pinned Daivari with a moonsault. *Vince McMahon comes to the ring for an interview and brings out ECW World champion Bobby Lashley. McMahon tries to pay off Lashley, who refuses. McMahon slaps him. Lashley runs McMahon out of the ring. *Ashley Massaro pinned Jillian Hall after a top rope elbow. *They announced Chris Benoit vs. MVP in a Money in the Bank match is next. Kristal Marshall interviewed Benoit and he said its his right to compete at Wrestlemania. Finlay was added to the match, making it a Triple Threat match. *Finlay defeated Chris Benoit and MVP in a Triple Threat Match after cracking Benoit in the head with the shilegiegh. Finlay qualifies for Money in the Bank. Announced for next week: Undertaker vs. Finlay and Kane vs. WWE World champion Batista. *ECW World champion Bobby Lashley pinned Ken Kennedy with a running slam. Dark Match: *WWE World champion Batista pinned King Booker Huh, Four SD guys in MITB. Three different alliances in the match I guess: Rated RKO, the Hardys, and the Court.
  5. Poor Finlay. He's had a solid year or so, and would make a fine quasi-ally to Booker in MITB, but's likely going be left off the WM card entirely.
  6. You can knock out all the originals from MITB. Its them vs. the New Breed for sure at WM.
  7. Kane/Booker wasn't.
  8. Odd to think guys like Carlito and Masters were in WWE title matches a little over a year ago.
  9. Poor Masters. Cue Kane run in, I'll guess.
  10. Let's hope we can avoid: "They say your name is Umaga and you're the Samoan Smashing Machine. I say your name is Umaga and you're a bastard."
  11. I swear the WWE production team could turn eating cornflakes into a dramatic, exciting story.
  12. For the rest of MITB I'll guess Orton, Matt, Kennedy, and uh.... Holly.
  13. If Jeff gets in, I wouldn't be surprised to see Matt in. I can't quite say the same for Haas if Shelton wins.
  14. As I recall that wasn't considered a given with KOTR. McMahon made that stipulation after Lesnar interfered and gave Vince total control of WWE in match with Flair.
  15. The dual winner scenario with Edge and Orton I suggested at in the Wrestlemania thread was really just an attempt to keep the former's streak going while putting a new twist on MITB. Like a previous poster said, there's not much more one can do with it, and a quasi-deterrence scenario with two heels reluctant to use their shots for fear of betrayal by the other seemed to be an interesting new way to go.
  16. Frozen computers. I expect overall incompentence from people in general, but god damn we can't get technology that won't completely fuck us over in the 21st century?
  17. I don't know, but to me it presents an interesting scenario as both guys are hesitant to use their shot, because neither wants to risk challenging HBK/Cena and getting the title, but then being betrayed by the other when they cash in their particular shot. It puts a new twist on the supposed advantage of having Money in the Bank. Plus you can drag it out for the next year, and build upon on it if need be. Of course they could do the lazy route and just use it to send either Orton or Edge to SD.
  18. I'm wondering to myself that with Orton as a given in MITB and the issue of maintaining Edge's WM streak, that if it's out of the question for somehow both to grab the briefcase at the same time be declared dual winners. Its certainly opens up more possibilites, booking wise and could make for some interesting dyanamics with Rated-RKO. Just a thought.
  19. DK64 just cranked up the "collect a bunch of stuff" forumla way too much, which was never the main point of the games in the DKC trilogy. That's one of the reasons I loved Bad Fur Day, as cash was the only thing picked up, and your abilities depended only on the context sensitive pads.
  20. I wonder if in court he'll deny the attack as well?
  21. So I suppose Vince will promise something on an uncoming episode which will be so big, so monumental, so changing for the wrestling business and there's nothing he (Vince McMahon) can do about it.
  22. I'm really surprised by the Miyamoto dislike of DKC. Its a solid platformer in the spirit of games like Mario, and he treats it as if it were some big fuck you to Donkey Kong's supposed character. Unpopular opinion: I really like DKC3 and think while not as good as 2, still enjoyable to play.
  23. I give you that, but I don't think its out of the question for somebody from Raw or SD to jump just so they can have a supposedly over "ECW" talent in without having to stick RVD out there.
  24. I have my doubts about Rey being back as soon as Mania. Matt I see doing a tag with Jeff against MNM/Londrick/WGTT combination. Rob will likely doing the Originals vs. New Breed match.
