I'm rooting for Bisping simply because I can never ever see Chris Leben in a title position. He could walk throw every MW available and UFC still wouldn't give him a shot.

I'm throwing in the suggestion that Mik actually moderate this thread if need be (sorry dude). I can see this dissolving into a flame-war really quick. I have never really cared for Chuck Liddell, personally. Spoon-fed wrestlers and grapplers for majority of his career and when he faces guys that can best him in the stand-up game he has fits. Despite his KO list he doesn't put on good fights for the most part and if they are it's because of his opponent (Randy Part I, Jardine, Wanderlei). Also has a horrible fanbase, 99% "bros" who want to see somebody get KTFO instead of an actual fight.

Tomatoes are a gamble for me. They can either make or break the food. More often it's make then break but when break happens it fucking blows.

If anything I see Leben taking Bisping down.

I can easily see Penn winning simply by countering a strike or blitzing GSP with punches while he's on the back-step which is an area of Georges' game that still hasn't improved. Even the most ardent GSP fan will admit that Penn takes the battle of the chins hands down.

Luckily Bisping couldn't crack an egg with his punches but I think he's smart enough to avoid the bombs and out-point Leben for 15 minutes.

So apparently this isn't going down until 2009* which makes sense in terms of UFC hitting up MTL for New Years. They'd make more money in Vegas and already have Nog/Mir and Wanderlei/TBA as the big fights lined up. *I hope I'm wrong

Bisping/Leben shouldn't be the main event (Lyoto vs Thiago, IMO) but I know why it is and the fight itself is a solid contrast in styles with Bisping's smooth kickboxing vs Leben's zombie-brawling. Undercard is stacked too, Lytle/Taylor and Davis/Kelly should be bangers and we can see if the Carwin hype machine keeps rolling. Mik- Can you edit the sub-title for this thread? Well, he promised the blood thing before the fight... I guess he thought he had to deliver? I don't know. As for the choke, well I got nothing. Not really buying that. It's not like Dana told BJ he's not champion if he doesn't do it or anything. In the heat of a fight is one thing but to run up while Sherk is surrounded by his cornermen and doctor's is just straight-up disrespectful and rude. Not to mention his horribly fake "apology" after the fight.

That's why I personally don't like BJ. I think he's a very talented fighter who'll give GSP huge problems and I enjoy watching his fights but the dude can be a serious prick. I think SpikeJenkins is still feeling the sting of admitting he trains under Joey Scarola and being mocked for it. That and seeing his fellow Long Islander losing his soul in Montreal.
