  1. 'Splain how.
  2. People forget that Forrest won his first official UFC fight by rear naked choke. Of course it was against a no-namer with minimal defense but still, it's not like his ground skills are non-existent.
  3. Add the "Diamonds" remix feat. Jay-Z to the list.
  4. Unless something better comes along before December 31'st "It's all gonna break" by Broken Social Scene is the winner.
  5. Fuck Penn vs St. Pierre. I want to see that fight but not in this situation. They're both equally deserving of a rematch in my eyes. Sure, Penn has a victory over Hughes while GSP lost fairly squarely but St. Pierre has earned his way back into the title picture. Penn got let go because, as far as I know, he fucked up and violated the terms of his contract. I'm not sure that his reward should be a title shot right off the bat. Either way, here's how it should be done: Hughes vs Penn- GSP fights winner Hughes vs GSP- Penn fight winner. Sorry Karo.
  6. It's a joke but not. Earlier in this thread we mentioned that anybody who brings up the "They're stuck in purgatory!" theory should be automatically banned from this thread.
  7. Penn should fight a top guy like Karo or Diego before getting his rematch, if not for the fact that GSP has been running a train on the WW division but if they were to bring Penn back against Hughes right off the bat and he loses it would hurt the company and Penn.
  8. Word on the schoolyard is we're getting Ortiz vs Griffin at UFC 58 in April. Assuming Tito wins he'll move on to face Shamrock in a Coach vs Coach match at the Ultimate Fighter 3 finale. If he wins that he gets his rematch against the LH Champion at the time.
  9. The fact that you put it in spoiler form doesn't excuse the banning from this thread that you should (but won't) get.
  10. Not as scary as Sylvia/Telligmen but still......FUUUUUUCK. The Rock got reduced to rubble.
  11. Hopefully Riggs realizes that he was never meant to get a shot in the first place and graciously steps aside for better contenders in the like of Karo and GSP, I don't need to hear him crying about how the scale screwed him over like one of Ivan Salaverry's upkicks.
  12. Unless the UFC is planning starting up some type of legend-related bullshit like WWE there's really no reason for either Pat or Carlos to be the coaches unless either of them is planning a comeback.
  13. Interesting choices but cool given the history. I was wondering about that tonight while discussing MMA with a customer.
  14. He's overstating things a little. There were two bodies, one male and one female. This is also where the black and white rocks were found in the pouch that one of the bodies had on them.
  15. My parents brought back some nice Cuban rum for the PPV tommorow night, Rudo. We's gettin' faced!
  16. Picked up UFC's Ultimate Fighter Season One and PRIDE's Critical Countdown 2004 DVD's the other day. Watching Ultimate Fighter made me kinda depressed about this seasons's show for two reasons: 1) Much better fights 2) Much better characters You had Nate "Moral Rock" Quarry, The Frat Boyz team of Southworth and Koscheck, Observational Humour Forrest, Evil Sam and Chris "Fatherless Bastard" Leben all stepping up and giving us some great moments. Watching it all again also made me realize what a complete douchebag Leben was and how much I laughed when Southworth dropped the FB line on him. Some pretty damn good fights along with it. Diego/Koscheck, Bonnar/Southworth, Forrest/Alex, Forrest/Sam and Bonnar/Swick were all solid stuff. DVD extra's aren't the greatest but they make up for it by including all of the prelim fights from the TUF Finale card. Oh, and you get Franklin vs Shamrock too which is decent enough. PRIDE's show was a sketchy buy but I'm overall fairly happy with the purchase. Nog vs Khanitorov was fucking awesome and Silva/Kondo was an absolutely brutal finish to an entertaining fight. Seeing Fedor destroy Ogawa and watching Cro-Cop reposition Aleksander's neck was fun too. Then there's the main event which I'd totally forgotten up until this point which really almost kills the entire thing. The worst part is that even after the fight is stopped Rutten and Mauro are still yapping on and on about how terrible this is, basically rubbing it in. Don't know why they didn't stop the DVD at that point. So, whatcha bought lately?
  17. Not really. If this was HHH, Angle, Flair or Michaels it either would've been swept under the rug or handled privately. While Dinsmore does have the benefit of being a homegrown worker he still isn't high enough on the card to be able to get away with stuff like this.
  18. Oh yes he does. But that doesn't even register on the top-five ass-beatings of the year in the grand scheme of things.
  19. *Buzzer* Wrong answer. Sayid Pre-Shannon: Getting into fights, chopping wood and torturing people with bamboo. Sayid with Shannon: Getting into conversations, chopping up fruit and lighting candles.
  20. We need an "Eddie Guerrero dead stuff" sub-folder in this bad boy.
  21. 20. He's the hugest wrestling fan in the world and will bore you to tears letting you know this.
  22. Ill go against the grain here and say that Tanner/Tyrell was grossly overrated. Fun stuff but once Tanner gets the mount it slows down drastically and IMO hurts the fight considering the pace they started at.
  23. Eko kills two people and go silent for 40 days. Pennance? Could he be a priest? A........NIGERIAN PRIEST!? Ok that last part might not be true but it's not too far off to think that Eko could've been a man of the cloth.
