I read somewhere that Brandon Lee Hinkle vs Brandon Vera has been tenatively added to the UFC 56 card. I'm assuming that Vera bulked up as I don't see Hinkle slimming down to LH.

Why hasn't the UFC made attempts to bring in guys that PRIDE hasn't had use for in a while like, oh I dunno, Heath Herring?

It's a shame that their HW division is in shambles at the moment though it looks like they're taking the nescessary steps to try and rebuild it. I think they've finally actually taken a look at PRIDE's division and realized how weak theirs is.

Somebody needs to kidnap Dana and tell him that tournaments are not a bad thing, especially with the current WW Division they have. Assuming Hughes is the champ make it for #1 Contender. - Riggs - Stevenson - GSP - Diaz - Sanchez - Miller - Parysian - Cummo

By "fucked with" I was referring to Gono constantly complaining to the ref which seemed to rile Hendo up more. I knew going into that fight that Gono had slim to no chance of winning, he just didn't help his cause out.

I became a Gono fan after seeing the bomb-ass liver shot he threw down on Daniel Acacio (sp?) at the Bushidio show. Too bad he fucked around with Henderson because all it did was motivate Dan to punch his head off.

I figure over the coming weeks and months we are all going to get to know who loves this guy and who hates that guy but this will help us all understand where the fanboy-ism is coming from. In his pre-fight promo vs Yves Edwards from PRIDE's Bushido: The Tournament he talks about hitting Edwards and hitting him hard. Not the most original statement but the way he said it had a cold evil to it. I've gotta invest in some Shooto tapes. Andrei "The Pitbull" Arlovski Alongside Shogun vs St. Pierre, Arlovski vs Fedor is one of my current dream matches. I can't see anybody in the UFC fucking around with this guy in a while and I look forward to the stomping he's going to give Mir. Vampire teeth mouthguard = awesomeness.

After watching the replay Diego gets away with two things that otherwise would probably have not been ignored: 1) The super-illegal knee to Diaz's face when Nick is half-sitting up on the ground. 2) Keeping his head down after he got cut and making sure his hair was in the way so neither the camera nor Big John could see anything. Joe's reaction after the Luke fight is what clinches the whole thing for me. His family is there, he's just won a six figure contract and his dream has come true: And all he can think about is how much the complete psycho to his left came *this* close to beating him at times. Good show of class by Joe.

Any combination of Luke, Diego, St. Pierre and Stevenson would be fucking awesome.

Ultimate Fighter Finale tonight was a balls-out show on FREE TV and had better matwork then anything Angle and Michaels could put together. WWE still sucks balls while UFC continues to improve. Awesome.

We officially need an MMA sub-folder in sports after tonight.
